Do not put expensive furniture in these pods because they get damaged. There's a lot of condensation that they failed to tell you and the manager is a coward and will never return your calls. At this point, I'm ready to take it to court. The staff also take accountability. They're super nice to you when you're signing up because they want your business after that they do you like the plague. read more

The rental process was easy and was availble same day for move in. I rented the storage place and was going to come in later in the day to move in. This is my first time renting a storage unit. Samantha was very friendly and approachable. She was patient to show me 3 different sizes of units. I have rented a 10 foot Uhaul truck and ended up renting a 8x10 unit. The storage units are basically tows of shipment containers that have been partitioned into storage units. Samantha was nice enough and informative to give information and a breakdown of things. The rent is prorated for until the end of the month. Payment is due in full and on the first of the month. There is a grace period before late fees incur. Their insurance is required. There is a 10 day notice period that you have to tell them before moving out. She recommends a round lock, I believe they are called shrounded locks so that people cannot cut through it and break in. It was late in the day, they were open for 1 more hour and she was able to go over contract details, storage unit sizes/prices and standard grounds procedures/protocols so efficiently that I was still able to return to my new unit within operating hours and achieve my goal of having all my items safely and securely relocated by the days end. This review is just for the compost…read more Came here for roughly 20 cubic feet of compost soil. It was all free through reservations in their website. You can't beat free! I was apprehensive about coming here, not knowing what to expect. But the whole process was super easy. Drive up towards the main office and follow the signs to the compost heap. It's located on the side of the parking lot. Back your car/truck right up to the heap and start shoveling. The compost itself isn't that rich loamy material that you make at home. There is a high percentage of "browns" in there. So using it as a compost amendment isn't as effective as manure. But since it's all for free, I just use it straight, as potting soil. Saves you a ton of money, particularly if you're trying to fill a sizable raised bed. Side note, this stuff is fresh. It was quite warm even on a cold day. It doesn't stink like poop but it does give off quite a bit of ammonia.

El monte any stars at all but I can't give a review without 1, this place is the worse place 2 store ur most precious items, I have had my storage 17 straight years without losing it, until NOW!! I have been thru many managers thru/o these past 17 years and with this management thats there NOW im on the verge of losing my storage ALL BC OF THE CORPORATE MANAGER TIM, he thinks he's God or something and is intentionally making it impossible for me to pay all these extra fees blocking payments from me paying and NOT giving a care in the world if I lose my storage after all these 17 years I am seriously trying 2 make a payment and he wants me 2 pay next month's wich is NOT even pastdue yet and blocks me from paying with anything ONLY cash, I had NO problem with that but then he blocks my card payment which makes me past due for next month and acts like a real dick who has no empathy whatsoever and hangs up on me without assisting me with my situation in any way whatsoever and bc of him personally who makes all these changes on his own bc he is from corporate and did I mention how he raised my rent 2 times in one year?? I want to put a "shout out" for Irene, who I believe is the manager at the facility. I signed up for a storage unit 4 months ago. My parents had a storage unit here and recommended the facility to me because of the excellent prices and service. I wanted a "drive up" unit. The options were very limited and I ended up with a unit in the middle of a block toward the back of the compound. Irene called me as soon as she had a vacancy that would be more suitable for me. To make a very long story short, Irene found three options for me, and now I have a drive up unit in the first block. close to the gate. Irene also offered me some excellent pricing options and was very helpful. I can't thank Irene enough for taking such good care of me. I first called in to see what sizes were available. I spoke to Kevin and he was really helpful in helping me to find the right size for me. He invited me down to take a look at the different sizes and I went ahead and did so. When I went to the office Kevin was not there at the time so a friendly girl named Irene helped me out instead. When I was shown the units I was happy to see that it was nice and clean. That's very important to me because I am a neat freak. I had no problems renting the unit and I was also able to finally meet Kevin in person a few days later. Kevin and Irene are always friendly to me when I go to the office and always offer me candy and coffee. They definitely made my experience here a pleasant one. read more

I found storage outlet many years ago, I believe I have been a customer since they first open about 10 or 11 years ago. I have never had a problem with them. I have had several of my kids rent with them as well when they needed a place to store their things. I have had the pleasure to deal with many mangers over the years but Irene has been the longest manger there and I can see why. She will go out her way to make sure you are happy with your storage space. My children as well were very happy with the service she provided making sure they rented the correct space they needed. My grandmother has a storage unit here and I took her today but she didn't have a key. So we went inside. Mind you it's 5:40. We asked the manager there if he had a spare key and he said he did not so I said how much was it to cut the lock and he said its $25 but it was already closed and he couldn't do anything. It is now 5:43. The store closes at 6! So why exactly did he not open the storage?! He then made racist comments towards my family and then screamed at me. My grandmother has her oxygen tanks in there and we went because she felt like she couldn't breathe. Now she has to wait until tomorrow to get her oxygen tanks because of one lousy, racist worker. read more

I have had (2) storage units at the El Monte facility for approximately (1) year. Tim has always been so helpful in making suggestions in the right size units I would need and those suggestions have been on point. Tim has always been very courteous, he has always answer any questions I've had and I have had no problems with making my payments either at the facility or online. Worst Storage Ever. Rodents constantly are seen running through this place. You get overcharged for everything and then storage fees are raised on short notice after you sign up. They have no regard for loyal customers. Avoid this place and all Storage Outlets like the plague. read more
