Bland. Same with fries. Only taste the cajun seasoning on top. I was hungry but lost my appetite from all the food. Most people order the steamed mixed cajun in a bag. They might have taste with all the mixed seasoning. Hopefully they can improve next time.

They have an express shop located on Huegenard Road and another dine in location at Leo Crossing. This location has been in service since 2003. It has a nice diner feel with super friendly service. You can find parking on the street or in the lot behind the store. The inside is rather large and works well for parties up to about 8 diners. There is a small bar and TV's if that is your thing. They also have a big and varied menu including breakfast items. Here is a run down of the food items: -Fried Fish: the white fish fillet is thin and fried with a thin breading. The fish is moist and tender. It will flake apart with a fork or by hand. The breading has a slight amount of seasoning and isn't very oily to taste. It has a taste similar to the Fish & Stroh style if you are familiar with that. The fillets are not very filling. For an extra $3...I went with the all you can eat option. Delicious fish! -Tarter Sauce: I love tarter sauce. In fact I might order fish to go with my tarter sauce - lol. This mayo based sauce is reasonably thick, somewhat sweet and has a hint of pickle flavoring. It's creamy and makes a perfect complement to the fried fish flavor. -Baked Beans: this side really surprised me. The bean is small and contained hamburger pieces. The sauce had a slight BBQ flavor but not enough to classify it as a BBQ baked bean dish. The meat flavor was a nice add to the smooth tomato spiced sauce. Delicious!! -Cole Slaw: I kind of use KFC as the standard for Cole Slaw. This is very similar. The slaw pieces are cut very small with only one kind of slaw. Seemingly no additives - just slaw. The sauce is mayo based, a bit more sweet along with a hint of vinegar. I loved this side too! -Hush Puppies: these balls are pretty small in diameter. The inside is very modista and sweet with that southern style corn bread taste. The outside is thicker, a bit oily to taste and has a mild corn bread taste/texture. These are probably some of the best hush puppies I've had in my southern raised life.

My sister ordered the fish she liked and the potatoes which has jalapeños in the sauce so it was spicy. All in all once we got our food things went a lot smoother and more enjoyable experience.

Seated quickly and the place had a nice, homey vibe to it. Ordered appetizers: onion rings and cheese bread-stay away from both: onion rings were pretty much pressed onion powder dipped in batter and fried (the ketchup helped) and the cheese bread was too oily-the crab dip combined with the butter and cheese was too much for my wife (it would be better with cheese garlic bread and the crab dip on the side). Decided to do split baskets for our entree-she got fried calimari and scallops and I got cod and chicken strips: the fries that came with both were quite good and fresh, the scallops and calimari were cooked well enough but the calimari was not as crisp as it could be; my cod was very good but the chicken strips were pretty much what you would find at a Walmart or fast food place. We did have a very nice server and there was no delay in getting our food, but I think if we want seafood in Ft. Wayne, we will probably stick to the nearby Red Lobster. read more

Seems pricey at first until you realize the amount of food hits the table. I love that you get to pick how spicy you want it. Plus the combos are great if you want a bit of everything! Our waitress was great, she was funny and even got us a sample of the seafood bread since we had never heard of it before. The managers rounded on us regularly which was nice. Overall, the staff have a great sense of humor which is hard to find these days, so its greatly appreciated. Highly recommended, and definitely will be going back! read more

But when you see a seafood heavy menu at a restaurant, you *really* should get it. I focused on their new menu of shrimp dishes. They included head-on shrimp, in the shells. I wasn't sure I wanted to work for my meal and get messy. But damn, that Camarones al Cilantro (shrimp with cilantro) looked fantastic. I hemmed and hawed and decided I would order it along with some guacamole to get some vegetable material in me. When it came it was piping hot. Couldn't eat it, so focused on the guac for a bit. As the shrimp cooled I went to town on what may have been the messiest meal of my life. (Do NOT order unpeeled shrimp if you are on a first date or a job interview) Let me tell you - these shrimp were unbelievable. They were swimming in sauce and as I peeled them, i then dipped and chowed. The cilantro/chili/garlic? sauce was off the charts good. The onions and cucumber buried within it were also a nice discovery as I made my way through this mountain of a full pound of shrimp. It took a while and the sauce dripped down to my elbows at times. It was a caveman eating experience and it was probably the best Mexican dish I have ever eaten. It was probably a good thing I was eating alone. I don't see any other way to eat this unless you're a psychopath crunching through shrimp shells. But leaving those shells on keeps the shrimp moist as they cook and more importantly it keeps the shrimp flavor from cooking off into the sauce. Shrimp with the shell on do taste better - they are not just being lazy here. This meal was great and I would love to go back if I'm driving through again. Thank you for this!

There was a very brief period when the menu was a bit less than expected, mind you BRIEF, but we were happy to experience an evening dinner this past weekend that was once again par excellence! We ordered tartar as a starter, and tomahawk Waygu steaks and while they were prepared properly, they were both just so bland. Both my business partner and I left the evening saying, "meh. That was underwhelming." I've had better steaks from my own cast iron pan at home with a sprinkle of sea salt. Another point of contention was that I specifically asked for a green vegetable and I was given carrots and peppers. Nothing green. For a meal that cost an arm and a leg, it was disappointing. Stars are for the great servers and the atmosphere.

When you add the high prices, I just glad I didn't have to pay since this was a corporate meal the evening before a board meeting. While the salad bar has many choices including I think caviar, it just like others of this type of restaurant. Of course have jelly belly type jelly beans is an interesting idea. My lobster bisque was at best average without chunks of lobster meat that I get at Weber's in Ann Arbor. Menu has to be limited since they have it on a meat cleaver (too cute but very heavy idea). Others enjoyed their choices. Our group was in one of the dining rooms and not the private room. A little noisy. The parking lot is really too small when I is busy and only has 4 handicap parking spaces. I hope we save money next year and go to some place else.

It was absolutely pristine and filled to the top with every ingredient. They even still have creamed herring . My steak was thick and perfectly cooked absolutely delicious. This isn't Ponderosa. The bread and butter are terrific and mud pie for dessert brought it all back. The servers couldn't have been more welcoming, engaging, or kind.
