By far one of my favorite cider places I've ever been too!!! It's a small space/tasting room, but the eclectic charm makes it a worthy place to grab a drink and hang out. The seating area consists of cute picnic benches! The atmosphere is very inviting, as there are lots of 90s and other throwback music to enjoy, along with friendly staff, excellent service and board games to pass by the time. The ciders were all delicious and they had a variety of flavors and styles (dry to sweet... sweet to dry)! A little something for everyone if you will. The staff was very friendly and more than happy to refill your glass or direct you (in the right direction) of your next cider endeavor. Run don't walk to the Stowe Cider cidery. Even if you don't think you like cider (I didn't), you'll be amazed. So delicious and things like wine grape-infused and gin-barrel aged and ginger and tea-cider-- It's a good time. With the alchemist tap room closed this is a great alternative. We had an excellent time here! Tasty cider, beer, Vtea, and kombucha. To get a flight just write your numbers off the list into a little chalkboard. A large assortment of games was available: scrabble, cornhole, jenga, a whole stack of others I didn't explore) AND a kids corner with bean bags, chalkboard wall, a few blocks sets, a mini picnic table, etc. and it was great. We were here on Christmas Eve (group of 9) and there were just a few other families. I'm not sure if there are good options on other days but there weren't and for sale when we were there so I do wish I had known to bring my own snacks! Visited Stowe Cider on Sunday afternoon. They have a fun selection of ciders with unique flavors, which also managed to avoid being overly sweet. Its location makes it a busy place on the weekends, so be prepared for a potentially disorderly crowd. Quality: During our visit to Stowe Cider, we tried all the ciders on the menu as well as one of the seltzers. This included High & Dry, Tips Up, Safety Meeting, Shandy, Strawberry Fields, Vermont Grown Raspberry Honey, Brainwaves Gummy Bears, Brainwaves Key Lime Pie, Raddle The Chains, Scarlet Sangria, Tea Party, and Citrus Ginger Seltzer. I was impressed by Stowe Cider's ability to get the essence of some of these unique and sweet flavors, but keep them dry or at least balanced. My highlights were Brainwaves Key Lime Pie, which nailed the pie taste, and Raddle The Chains, which pulled from grapefruit and beer. The only miss for me was Strawberry Fields, the mint simply overpowered the fruit flavor. Quantity: Flights came with four 5oz pours, Full Pours ranged from 12oz to 16oz. Value: $10 for a Flight. $6-$8 for Full Pours. Ambiance: Stowe Cider is located close to the town center of Stowe, Vermont. The cidery is huge, with multiple outdoor areas and a massive indoor space as well. We sat in the front outdoor area, which was a gravel lot filled with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. This was the first space to fill up and it became a bit chaotic in the early afternoon. It is also closest to the food truck, which was set up just outside the warehouse entrance. A second lesser known outdoor area can be found around the back. Inside they have a large wrap around bar, with some high-tops nearby. Then several private rooms, one which was set-up as an art gallery. There also seemed to be some tables in the warehouse, but they were encourage people to stay outside. Crowd: We arrived right after they opened and there was already several groups drinking. By the time we left the line was about twenty people deep and every single outdoor table was filled. There were also a lot of people with dogs, many who were not very well-behaved, barking and lunging at other dogs and guests. It was not expected and clearly on the owners. Service: The bartenders were excellent, but quickly overwhelmed by the crowd. On a holiday weekend, when a rush came, it took at least twenty minutes to get a drink. Parking: Large parking lot shared between the cidery and neighboring restaurant. read more

What a fun place! After skiing at Stowe, our crew stopped by to grab some limited edition cider on Saturday around 5:30pm. Knowing that Stowe Cider closes at 6pm, we were planning to grab the ciders and leave. We noticed the music from the building with some cool disco lights. I have been here during both the normal season and pandemic season, and while I wish we could have all gone in after our skiing adventures, I was happy that they were taking to-go orders and we could grab a bunch of our favorites. Wow! So impressed with how Stowe Cider is taking these new socially distanced expectations. We made reservations for their outdoor seating with live music. Each table reservation was $20 (well worth it!). We had a time slot 4-5:30pm. Upon entering we were greeted by the sweetest man who gave us the run down (bring your mask and where it while you are walking around or ordering at the counter). He was very friendly and made us feel welcomed! They had a food truck and plenty of ciders to choose from. They also had a cider slushee that was delicious! The live music was great and everyone was spread out. We even watched them clean tables between parties and it was a deep clean! They haven't honored their hours in the past week. My family and I tired to go three different times and there was always an issue- they weren't open or decided they were closed to have some type of benefit. While I obviously have no issue with a benefit dinner/tasting- they need to post it and make the public aware.
