Since it's my 1st time trying today, I wanted to go inside to get a feel of how the experience is in person. Parking was not too stressful around 2pm but it was sooo hot. The line was outside and I waited 10 minutes to be able to get inside. Not fun but can't really do much. From the door, it took 25 minutes to start my order. It can be a bit crammed by the door since it's also next to the trash can, soda machine, and line. When I was able to order it was pretty simple until adding any toppings . The toppings menu is on the right side and will list what is free or an additional charge. (This is here in case you want to add more to your sandwich. Like I ordered the Capocollo sandwich which has toppings already but I added tomato) The line is busy so I felt like I couldn't get really think of adding anything else. I only got a pic for help in the future. In the end I would much rather order for pickup. It's not worth waiting in line especially in the summer. read more

My sis has me get her the Tuscan salami with artichoke spread and the straciatella which we found out was a veggie sandwich so she asked for mortadella on it.. it was my first time there and the line was moving so quick I didn't wanna hold up the line and my anxiety was going crazy so I was like uhh yeah add this and uhh add that. And she was already putting shit on the sandwhich and then telling me u kno this a veggie sandwich so didn't bother to change it and added the meat she asked.. and asking me after what I want so we just kept it going. So it's kind of an assembly line kind of thing and now that im aware of how it works, u just tell them what u want to add in it as for as spread and toppings.. oil and vinegar is optional. Got their sandwiches to go. Luckily I didn't have to wait in line since my sister was already ordering. Honestly I was having trouble with the menu because I'm more of a visual type, I want to see pictures hahah. They have the sandwich names under the meats that come with it I think and whatever that's listed below I guess that's what comes in it. I didn't know what type of meats came on the sandwich and if I were able to customize it to my liking, like adding extra deli meats, veggies or spreads. I accidentally ordered a veggie sandwich but ended up adding mortadella to it. They are pretty massive and filling, I was able to cut them and sure among 4 people. I got their Tuscana salami with artichoke spread & the stracitella? Not sure if that's correct but yeah. Their bread is great but not ideal for me when ordering a deli sandwich. The sandwich itself was nice, but there was something missing. It wasn't giving me that wow factor. I will say everything tasted fresh and each ingredient was good but honestly I don't see myself craving this particular sandwich. I think I'm just too use to having or local deli/Sandwich shops. Went today with some family, 13 for a sandwich. No drink or side is absolutely not worth what we received. Not enough meat. Unclear ordering process, we had no idea you could add stuff to the sandwich until 2 of us got to the front the other two had to grab seats so we either had to stop the line and grab the other twos extra stuff risking the loss of our seats so they could get what they want or just move along with the base sandwich. The staff seemed confused and added stuff haphazardly to the sandwiches the other two of us were up there ordering for resulting in the wrong veggies ending up in our sandwiches. My mom and I tried Strada today. On a Thursday, we arrived around 1145 and there was already a line outside almost to the Noble Credit Union ATM next door. They have someone "manning the door" and allowing people in as the line that continues on the inside, moves along. Realistically, the size of the shop is not large enough to accommodate the amount of people that patronize Strada. Guessing based on memory, there might be 15 tables to sit at inside? Fortunately, there was a table available and my mom was able to take a seat at the table as her back was not allowing her to continue standing. By the time I got back to our table with our lunch, I had waited in line 45 minutes. We ordered the Salami w/ Artichoke Spread and the Turkey Pesto. Added arugula to both. We split the sandwiches so that we could try both. The sandwiches as large, but light. It wasn't too difficult to eat two halves. The bread initially appears like it might be too much, but it isn't. Tho focaccia is light, thin, chewy and crispy. Not a thick focaccia where your sandwich is all bread. The sandwiches were tasty and the bread compliments them well. Overall, my mom and I liked our sandwiches, however, neither one of us are in a rush to stand in line that long for a sandwich again. Hopefully a line that extends outside will eventually fade. But with how these restaurants in Fresno have been going, I don't seeing it happen any time soon. read more

Fresno's hottest and newest Italian place has taken me back to my trip to Italy with their sandwiches. Expect to wait in line about 10-15 minutes with the line out the door, but the food is well worth and it gives you enough time to decipher through the menu. Even though each sandwich comes with some preset ingredients & spread, you can also add on and swap out ingredients & spreads as you please (a huge plus for those who aren't big fans of arugula, as it is in most of the sandwiches). I absolutely loved the maple bacon garlic confit in their roasted turkey and Brie sandwich. I would highly recommend adding the spicy Calabrian spread or the truffle spread onto whichever sandwich you choose if it doesn't come with it already. These spreads were so flavor packed and really elevated these sandwiches to a whole new level. They just added a couple of wines & beers to their menu as well (not shown in my visit). I have been keeping an eye on the construction and opening of Strada since learning it was coming, I could not be more excited to have an Italian sandwich shop the side of town. I went today for lunch with coworkers and it was delicious! I think we waited 30 minutes but we went around lunchtime, not too bad for just opening. Well worth the wait. I ordered the straciatella and added prosciutto since this is typically a sandwich without meat. The straciatella was fresh and creamy, the focaccia was delicious, abut what I really loved on mine was the roasted tomatoes and basil pesto. My coworkers ordered the mortadella, salami with artichoke spread, and turkey with basil pesto, all also giving high praise. Can't wait to go back and try every sandwich! read more

Strada has completely changed what I expect from a sandwich in Fresno. This is not a basic deli situation. The bread is focaccia style, thick and chewy and honestly good enough to eat on its own. What they build on top of it is even better. Really quality ingredients, nothing stingy, everything layered in a way that actually makes sense. I've tried a few different sandwiches and haven't had a bad one yet. The space looks great too. Clean, modern, the kind of place that photographs well but also just feels nice to sit in. Good for lunch with someone or a solo work break. Its up on Friant which is north Fresno but the drive is easy and parking is no issue. Open until 9pm which gives you way more flexibility than most lunch spots. Desserts also looked really good, I grabbed something on the way out and did not regret it. Prices are fair for what your getting. The quality is genuinely there. Strada is one of those spots that makes you happy its in your city. read more

It really depends on which part of the bread your sandwich is constructed from. The middle section tends to be better than the ends pieces. The ingredients are fresh, but not the best quality. Foccacia was to die for. I got the heirloom caprese and my friend got the ham sandwich. He (rghtly) complained that you couldn't taste the ham. I would have kept the sandwich simpler, myself. Pardini nails it again with this sandwich concept. The ingredients are so fresh and the spreads help build great flavors, but the real star is the freshly baked bread. It is so light, yet so full of flavor. I literally would drive across town just for the bread. I ordered half BLT and half turkey and cheese with artichoke spread. Both were delicious but I liked the simplicity of the BLT more. It really let the bread shine imo. The price point is perfect, too. It's a tremendous value for what you get. I was so excited when I first heard about this place. I'm a huge fan of All'Antico Vinaio and thought this would be similar. I couldn't have been more wrong. The mortadella quality wasn't there. With each bite I pulled away multiple casing strings in my mouth. I couldn't get thru one half of the sandwich. I switched to the other half and the same thing. Strada is the latest line of Pardini restaurants (Annex, Annesso, Willow Osteria). Today was the Grand Opening, and there was a line out the door. Fair warning, it took us about 20-30 minutes from the door to the cashier, but they make it as you go along (kind of like Chipotle). They continue to diversify and bring new food concepts to this part of Fresno that sorely needs it. We had the mortadella and coppa sandwiches, and both were stellar. The pistacchio and truffle spreads are very good, and you can add or customize the sandwiches as you wish. We also got a cookie which was also very good and reasonably priced. Parking was a struggle at lunch hour, but it looks like they are building additional parking. Overall, we are very excited and will be back! read more

Went today about 11. Line was not too long. Restaurant is very clean and orderly. The server at the door handed out menus which was great. The overall menu choices are excellent. I got the Capicola and my sister got the Salami with Truffle spread. Both were outstanding in presentation and flavor. The focaccia bread is made in house and you can watch them both bake and slice the bread. It is absolutely delicious in flavor. Soft and easy to chew and good flavor. I agree with another review here that it would be good for them to label the ingredients in the case so people can see. It would reduce the amount of questions and may make the line move faster. The only other concern i had is the placement of the fountain soda machine. People have to cross the line in order to get to it. It's too bad it can't be relocated either to the south east corner or to the back because people getting napkins, sodas, etc are having to disrupt the line to get past. The staff was great everyone was friendly and answered questions right away. Also the sandwiches are priced right and for hand made sandwiches with superior ingredients this restaurant is spot on. My wife and I have been to Europe a few times. We always come back raving about the food we find and the tastes we experience. We read this place wanted to capture some of that, so we tried it. I'm so happy we did. I closed my eyes before my first bite and was transported back to Italy. The bread was authentic, the ingredients familiar, and the overall taste spot on. It was a real treat. The line was long, I'll admit, despite us arriving at an in between time. But what do you expect when something new and unique opens up? I was just happy they were well staffed, things moved quickly, and we had no trouble finding a seat to dine in. The menu is small and focused, but with enough variety to allow for most to find a sandwich in their comfort zone. But in the end, it's all about the taste. That won me over. It was just a bonus to find the price was reasonable as well. We'll be back for sure. Show up to a line out-the-door, so I know I'm at the right place. An employee (Nash) greets me, holds the door so I can get the stroller in, and directs me to a place I can wait with my son while my partner waited in line. What service! Went to Strada on Mother's Day. It was an exceptional experience. Well organized, great service and crowd management as well as excellent food! I had a turkey and brie sandwich with onion jam. The sandwich is rather large and made from home made oven warm bread, the condiments are five star quality and the owner, Mr Pardini, was in the pass. Even the bus boy was awesome. Incredible! Be prepared to find a line, but it goes quickly. A smiling clerk greets you at the door and hands you a menu. There is lot of help behind the counter. One person brushes olive oil on freshly baked focaccia bread while another slices. I ordered roasted turkey with brie. Another person sliced the meat while cheese is cut at the next station. Bacon compote is part of the sandwich, giving it an unexpected sweetness. It was delicious. Next time, I plan to order something more savory, like salami with truffle or pesto. I added Stracciatella to it, so that calmed down the strength of the onion, and added a bit of freshness. The husband said his salami and artichoke spread was killer. They're so brand new that I am as equally as pleased with my first time, and excited to see what's to come!! First, I am not going to complain about having to wait in line for 40 minutes. We knew what to expect. We ordered 9 sandwiches for our family. I ordered the prosciutto sandwich and specifically asked for no arugula. I reminded the people making my sandwich that I didn't want arugula. I was assured that they heard me. Well the person making my sandwich piled arugula on my sandwich then put the olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the arugula. Then he realized his mistake and removed the arugula along with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. So I received a prosciutto sandwich with mozzarella. I'm not sure that the sandwich was worth the wait. The bread did not live up to the hype. The mozzarella and prosciutto were good, not great. I may give the place another try.
