As others have said... decent sandwiches, kinda annoying they force the whole meal on you and don't really tell you that when you think you're ordering a basic bec, I was excited to get a coffe with my sandwich then they rang me up... almost ten bucks, yeah you get home fries too...but that's not what I asked for, they should offer the mean instead of just ringing you up for it, some people aren't thaaat hungry and just want a sandwich. As for the bagels.... stonybrook is sooo much better, the ones at this location are always well done and dried out bc of it, I recommend getting it toasted with butter to enjoy it bc by itself it's very dry and overdone, it doesn't taste right with cream cheese. The home fries that come with it are inconsistent and I wish the price differed without them but definitely not a deal breaker for going there. Not much to say about this place. Its your typical one stop bagel shop. Seems like it would be a very busy spot due to the location in the Independent plaza. Prime real estate if you ask me. Its all about Location Location Location. However, a few flaws that I noticed. I went during a real busy time. When I got there the line was all the way to the outside curb. And they would just keep taking customers orders. So people would stand around for a few minutes waiting for the food and start crowding up the fridges. It was sorta funny trying to watch someone go to the fridges to grab a Nesquick or something. It was like watching an adult fighting to get to a drink at the bar at the Roxbury... Insanity. Not to mention customers who receives their order would walk out, and i watched as they bump everyone's arm that is sitting down trying to eat at the booths. The place is way to small for that vast amount of clients. I will give it to Strathmore bagels tho. They did seem to pump out the orders in a timely matter. Customer service was fair. For as busy as they seemed, They somewhat kept it together. You could tell the counter staff was beat. Just entirely exhausted for the amount of orders accepting and trying to get completed. My advice is to stop by on an Off peak time, and see if you can get that bagel crave taken care of without an issue read more

What ever you don't let the owner make your bagel with cream cheese. That is unless you like only a teaspoon of cream cheese on it. Oh and the fact that he charged me a dollar more than usual. The price of coffee keeps going up here, way beyond the normal rise in price. It usually taste very bad, too. Someone at work once got one included with breakfast and didn't want it, so they gave it to me. I couldn't even finish half of it. We go there st least twice a month when my daughters have there big sleepover and they are always friendly and quick. We also went there for both my daughters sweet 16 th Birthday breakfast before getting into the limo for NYC with 16 girls and they are so quick, helpful and friendly. This is an ordinary bagel shop with poor customer service. Pay attention to your bill because items on the counter aren't marked. I picked up 2 small bags of Tate's cookies. My bill was much higher than expected so I asked the price of the cookies, they were 2.50 a pack $5 for 2, which is more than a large bag costs anywhere else. I didn't buy them & was told my order had to be rerung. I agreed and that annoyed the person. I suggested they mark them with the price to avoid this happening again.
