Just a few minutes later I got a text back from Rich who I spoke with for well over an hour regarding the purchase of the car and going over the details of my trade. I was blown away by the professionalism and accuracy of the entire deal from start to finish. This is my 7th exotic purchase over the last few years and the very first one that I actually didn't fly out to look over and meet the dealer. The following day I started Rich up nice and early requesting tons of pictures, videos, documentation, history, previous owners etc. Again without hesitation he got everything I wanted to me in very short order. This was hands down probably one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had with an out of state dealer. To be able to trust someone with a 225k dollar car purchase without ever meeting them is really taking a leap of faith, but what I can say is anyone who is considering purchasing a car from Southeast auto will be very happy. After all the paperwork was done, wire was completed, and details were ironed out came the shipping and waiting game. The shipping company they used got my car from Pompano Beach Florida to central NJ in less than 48hours. When the car arrived and I looked it over for the first time the car was literally brand new, flawless Fully Detailed, and in even better condition than Rich had described to me. To go even a step further I made an appointment with Lambo Paramus just to double check everything and give the car a once over, the dealers report on the car came back perfect. There was a minor misunderstanding on scope of job needed which caused price to change a little bit from original quote, but it was quite reasonable and I agreed to new fair price. Note: GPS took me to a different building at first, so you have to make sure to use "2429" building number and you'll find their bay tucked in the rear corner of a gray biking with several bays. It's a busy lot (full of cars, mainly from body shop next door). He started on my car pretty much right at my appointment time and didn't stop working (only took water breaks) on car until job was complete since I had to wait. True commitment! The car had one strut that gave him a harder time causing it to take a bit longer, but there was no extra charge for that. He stuck with the agreed upon price for the job. Overall a great experience and I plan on having other work done at their shop. Definitely a good local shop to know.

So we found a car outside the area. We paid the have it transported here from another Carmax. We contacted a local GM dealer and found that Carmaxs Equifax reporting (versus Carfax) was incorrect and manufacturer warranty was finished. We also found the CPO on file was never paid for original dealer and thus not in effect. Urgh .... So we reach out after hours by chat to discuss cancelling and to find out the process when they were incorrect. Not to worry, the car was on a test drive and being sold today. Didn't you see the refund pending for delivery you paid ??? What ... So in effect the delivery was paid and funds received. The car was on hold and Carmax allowed another buyer to test drive and buy a unit held for transport. Then they just refund the money and fail to alert via phone and email. Wow ! Now again we were going to cancel and all is well in end. We won't likely ever consider Carmax for a buy in future however. Bad info on cars, poor hold and transport policies, and true lack of empathy around their business model and loopholes. Just another typical car dealer experience !!!

You go to the lot and you spot what car you want to test drive and they will then set you up with the test drive. I guess it's a good system if you don't see anything you like and you don't waste a salesperson time, but I thought that was kind of odd. We walked around for about 15-20 min and did not find anything that caught our eyes. But at least we now know how it works.

When she recovered and I noticed the vehicle was still for sale the owner went off on me saying that he no longer would finance me, he had no time to play games with people, that he only deals with people who have integrity, and to never contact his dealership again. There was no cause for him to instantly become so upset and lack empathy. After all, it wasn't as if he was holding the vehicle for me and turned away customers the pass 2 weeks. He simply held it overnight at closing time and I highly doubt there were people coming in at that time waiving 100 bills at him wanting to buy it and even if they had, I highly doubt he would have held it strictly because we had 1 phone call.
