It's definitely a nice addition to the food truck scene because everyone knows you have to leave room for dessert! Street Treats has various flavors of ice cream as well as different cookies. You can make your own sandwich, even choosing to have two different cookies with your large ice cream scoop in the middle. I'm kind of basic though. My favorite combo is the chocolate chip cookies with cookies & cream ice cream, which I don't think you can ever go wrong with. However, there's a flavor for everyone's preference. I've mostly seen Street Treats at different events I've attended. I most recently found them at a fundraising event at the Woodland Park Zoo, so not sure if they have a standard/weekly schedule of where you can always find them. I tried out their food truck on a hot sunny day. It was perfect! I ordered the Blackberry ice cream not really knowing what to expect. It was creamy and fruity (blackberry obviously). I'm so happy that they were down the street from Harborview today. They had a pretty good variety of sweets such as cookies, ice cream and brownies. I finally settled for making my own ice cream sandwich, which consisted of Mexican chocolate ice cream sandwiched between 2 chocolate chip cookies. The lady at the truck told me that all the baked goods are homemade but the ice cream is locally brought. Anyways, if you love chocolate (like I do) this sandwich was perfect! So this amazing food truck and owner came to visit us all the way in North Bend As this is a special treat for us, we went a little overboard and almost ordered one of everything. First of all, we should have ordered a dozen sugar cookies because those were the best frosted sugar cookies we have ever had. The rice crispies- also amazing. Everything in the variety pack was decadent but those two were my personal favorites. We also tried the homemade ice cream sandwiches (pb + chocolate & sugar cookie + vanilla) and it almost started a war between my SO and I because we had a hard time sharing. Overall, AMAZING. This ice cream station hit the dessert craving I had all weekend long. It's parked conveniently in front of the food court at Seattle Center, and it's worth every penny. The portions are enormous, like it's their goal to get rid of it by the end of the day or else. We ordered one scoop of vanilla bean and cookie dough. We had about at least a half of pint of ice cream to finish and we did not regret it one bit. It looked better in the giant waffle cone, but I wasn't going to attempt that and walk at the same time. Sweet Treats were hired to cater a wedding and they started running out of ingredients well before all the guests had gotten through the line for their first serving! There were supposed to be 4 flavours of ice cream and 4 flavours of cookies. But the "custom ice cream sandwiches" quickly degraded into a scoop of ice cream in a disposable dixie-style cup and one chocolate chip cookie on the side because they ran out of all the other flavours and didn't have enough left to make sandwiches for everyone?!! Have you ever been to a wedding where cake ran out before everyone got a slice??! To top it all off, the lady taking orders wasn't very chipper or friendly - a wedding is a very joyous occasion and her clearly stressed out/overwhelmed attitude was a killjoy. After my foray at Caribreoso at the Microsoft RedWest food truck pod, I walked a few paces over to Street Treats as I wanted to try this desserts truck after coming across it a number of times at food truck festivals. They are currently in Lower Queen Anne on Thursday. I like that they have numerous exciting flavors to choose from. It is not one of those places that just makes bulk of a few things. Tried the carmelita bar and the red velvet cookie sandwich. The carmelita as it would indicate in the name contains caramel. It was filled with nuts and has a crumb texture. I am not a big fan of caramel, but I really liked this bar. There is no chewy caramel like a Snickers bar, which I am not a fan of. It is more of a flavor within the whole bar. I would get this again if given the chance. Though I would try something else new from the menu. I like adventure! The red velvet cookie sandwich has a soft and chewy texture. The dough actually made it seem like this was more of a cupcake. I think this sandwich would be what two cupcakes put together with frosting in the middle would taste like. The Street Treats truck is in Madrona today (and they'll be back for the Madrona festival on July 24th. They've only been in operation for four weeks, so it seems they're still trying out new places to station themselves (but you can see their current schedule or check out their twitter feed about their location on their website). They had various cookies, cookie sandwiches, bars, and ice cream sandwiches for sale. Everything was made from scratch, and they were priced reasonably ($2.75 for a carrot cake cookie sandwich). Had Diane S. help set up two lovely ladies serve at my wedding and it WAS A HIT! We had the food truck displayed outside of the UW Arboretum/Wisteria Hall. PERFECT for an outdoor wedding. Instead of doing a "traditional" cake cutting or just having cake in general we went with this option and had a "lady and the tramp" bite the ice cream sandwich at the same time moment. Super memorable and the cookie and ice-cream choices WERE THE BEST!!! You could pick (4) cookies and (4) ice creams. You could choose two cookies and one flavor if you were adventurous OR just ice cream and cookies separately in a bowl if you wanted. The quality of ice cream and bars here are great! They only had a small number of options regarding cookies the day I went to make an ice cream sandwiches, so I opted to get a bar with ice cream instead. Delish! Trix shortbread bar was so good! A little heavy on the caramel but the shortbread base was fine and a consistent texture. There was another bar we got which had oats and chocolate in it (I forgot the name), but that was great as well. Ice creams were creamy, clean and refreshing as well - got to try a bunch before opting for mint and coffee! Since this space mainly serves as a kitchen, there really isn't as much room for enjoying the ice cream on premise. The place that had a couple chairs was replaced by a huge rolling cooling rack, which also blocked the menu when we were there.. and I heard that had been there for quite a while. .. but since there is an option to either order via walk up window or inside, I think it would be nice to have an option to also enjoy the ice cream near / on the premise as well..Currently there are no chairs/tables either inside nor outside in the surrouding area, so be prepared to wander and take your ice cream to go, at least for now. read more

As I continued to eat...the sweetness was a bit too much for me. But again, it is called SWEET treats...it's like getting mad that your coffee tastes too much like coffee. Although very hard to eat while driving downtown Seattle using your knee to drive with, the tastes were on point. While I don't have any photo evidence from my visit here, it was so delicious that I literally couldn't wait to take a picture! My husband and I shared an ice cream sandwich with coffee and cookies ice cream squished between a chocolate chip and a snickerdoodle ($6), and it was so good that I went back in to order a single of the coffee ice cream to go ($4)! Having recently visited Hello Robin, I don't understand what the fuss is about compared to this place. The cookies were soft enough that you could actually take a full bite of the sandwich without all the ice cream squishing out, and the flavors were excellent. I went with a friend and got two ice cream sandwiches to share: snickerdoodle cookie and coffee ice cream, and chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream. Each sandwich was $5. Some of the best ice cream sandwiches I've ever had here. Both the snickerdoodle and the chocolate chip cookie were excellent. Each had the ideal chewiness for an ice cream sandwich. Both ice creams were also at the perfect consistency for sandwiches; it was hard enough for a sandwich, but also soft enough to ensure you're not biting into a dessert brick. The combination of cinnamon and coffee awakens you in more ways than one. And hey, can we get any more classic a combination than chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream? I doubt it. This is a perfect summer treat, and I'm sure foodies like me -- as well as those people with the sweet tooth -- will still nosh away on these even in chilly weather. Probably the one thing I would have for a concern is the price. $5 does seem a tad pricey for an ice cream sandwich (and $10 for two), but in this case, it was worth it. Street Treats plays hard to get. Oh sure, it'll tempt you with tweets about its location during the day, filling your imagination with bountiful ice cream sandwich feasts, but it's not that easy. I finally tried Street Treats, but it was at least my fourth attempt at doing so. Mind you, I only went to a location after I saw it tweeted. But when I would go, the truck was not there. The tweets will often say the hours they expect to be in a certain location, but apparently the truck will just leave way beforehand without sending out a similar message. This is incredibly frustrating because it is simply laziness. Anyway, the owner's poor management skills aside, the actual food is really good. So good that I forgive her all of her past misdeeds and will continue the quest for my personal white whale. We got a sandwich with chocolate ice cream and chocolate chip cookies for the "bread." They had about five different types of ice cream on offer, pretty standard flavors like mint, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, and strawberry. They had two types of cookies listed, although one was out. Anyway the cookies were incredibly fresh tasting. If you're worried about the cookie being so hard it crumbles and doesn't act as a nice cushion like bread does, fear not. It's really an ideal amount of softness to hold the ice cream. For $5 it's a good deal because you get quite a big sandwich, and obviously two cookies as well. read more

A mobile dessert truck creates a dangerous situation. Seattle's existing fleet of lunch trucks already make me think "well, they're only here once a week, so why not give it a shot?", and a dessert truck makes me think "it doesn't matter how filling lunch was, because I only get one chance a week to buy a brownie out of a truck." Danger! In general the treats are pretty good. The novelty is mostly in in the method, but they admirably hand it to your local corporate "deli", work cafeteria, or coffee shop. The carmelita, for example, is every unhealthy snack (chocolate, caramel, nuts, crumb topping...) rolled into a single bar cookie without feeling too rich or unreasonably sweet. The best and most interesting experience is the ice cream sandwich, made to order with cookies and ice cream of your choosing. What Street Treats really needs to do is start roaming at night. Put this menu in front of a stoner and you could sell out in ten minutes. In short, the truck is a great place to visit if it pulls up in front of you, if not necessarily worth a drive across town. A cookie is a cookie, and while Street Treats can't quite compete with, say, the Dahlia Bakery, they can certainly put FSA and Safeway to shame. read more

My family and I have been frequenting the truck and the Seattle Center (this summer) location for quite some time. A conservative estimate of our visits would be 20 times. I think it's a great product. The cookies are fabulous and the pairing with the ice cream is definitely tasty. I've had the salted brown butter rice krispy treat and it's really good. Sometimes my son will want to eat the cookies by themselves. Unfortunately, customer service at both the truck and Seattle Center location is not up to par. I refuse to eat anything there anymore but leave my family to make their own choices (which they do). Personally, if staff is unfriendly, unhelpful, and quite frankly, snobby, I just don't need it. Smiles, simple conversation, and basic respect would be appreciated. Very disappointing given the high quality of the product. Social media presence is undependable at best. One day, Street Treats tweeted that they would be at the U-District Fair. Upon arrival, I was told by the other vendors that the truck had left because it was slow. Unfortunately, that helpful information was not tweeted. At the same time, the vendors said the truck was headed for the Fremont Sunday Market (which the Market was also tweeting). Diane was super easy to work with, helped us figure out the flavors that we wanted, and allowed us to try the sandwiches. And everything was delicious!! Our guests are still raving about it. Please don't judge me, but I only like vanilla ice cream. Other flavors are delicious, but everything ends up being too intense compared to the sweet and simple flavor of vanilla. I tried the snickerdoodle cookie with vanilla ice cream sandwich. YUMMM!!! My gosh. I should of bought two of them, but the line became too long afterwards. My friend and I made the mistake of sharing one, and I definitely got a little greedy and ate more than my fair share. The cookie was gooey and delicious. It also held up pretty well as a sandwich. Tried the treats at the Fremont Market today and OMG, my tastebuds are still dancing. I tried one of their make your own ice cream sandwiches and went with Snickerdoodle with fruit sorbet. Soft, rich and buttery snickerdoodle cookie was the perfect match for the tart and not too sweet berry sorbet. I couldn't resist a second round so I went back for a cookie sandwich. I had a red velvet with cream cheese and it was fantastic. If my waistline could handle it I would have even gone for a third round and tried one of the cookie bars (coconut looked really good) but I'll have to save that for next time I see them at the market. UPDATE: Went back again a week later and had a coconut lime cookie bar. So freakin' good. If I keep attending the Fremont market I'm going to gain 20 lbs this summer. read more
