I've used the drive thru option--which is great--but they have you park in the parking lot after you pay and wait for even longer idling your car. We've usually had great experiences with Strictly Organic. We love their breakfast burritos, chicken wraps, and coffees especially when they're close to both my husband and I's workplace, we enjoy getting lunch. Lately, we've been unable to successfully order over the phone. I called in today to order lunch, spoke to someone, and was put on hold. I was on hold for 11 minutes before hanging up. I attempted to call back 4 times and met with a busy tone. If there was a way to order online or consider upgrading the phone system to allow more call in orders, I think it would increase satisfaction and allow us in Bend another "drive thru" option. read more

Being a previous Coffee shop owner I'm very particular about my coffee and now, being on a strictly organic diet I was worried I was never going to enjoy a good cup of coffee again. And then this happened and I am sold on Strictly Organic Coffee! I had an Organic peppermint mocha and it was one of the best mocha's I've had.....including ones I've made for myself! My Mom had drip coffee, nephew had a White Mocha, and my Sis-in-law had a Vanilla Latte and were all in agreement that it was AMAZING! If you live in Bend or are just traveling through and need an excellent cup of joe this is your place! Friendly, knowledgeable staff, very cool vibe, kid friendly, and worth your time! If there were a way to do negative stars I would. Just read the uploaded screenshots; the management has recently changed, for the worse. This used to be a wonderful welcoming warm place to enjoy a cup of coffee or lunch, and now it might as well be owned by Walmart or George Soros. They advertise themselves as being a place where "all are welcome, we don't discriminate." They have signs that say that. I suppose if you have to make a sign to prove you are or aren't a certain kind of place, one should question the validity of such claims. Get rid of the mean old lady and bring back the fun, friendly, community minded leadership that once existed at this rad little shop. Oh and make sure you wear your puffy Patagonia jacket and don't use their wifi because they consider it "stealing". If you're not in the top 10% most wealthy people in Central Oregon, these people will treat you like Starbucks did those two men waiting for a client in Philadelphia. Oh and tip at least 80% or you're a "shitty tipper". The coffee and food are all delicious. As long as you're okay with being treated like shit. read more

I've been going here for years, kinda a weird vibe place but still nice. The coffee tends to be... not good so I stick with drip coffee since most of their baristas seem to not be trained well. The lates taste bad pretty much every time. They do okay with chai though. What keeps me going there is they are open really early and their food is great! They have breakfast burritos and sandwiches and amazing scones. I highly recommend them for their breakfast. Their to-go lunch options that I've tried at their old mill location like the wraps are very heavy on lettuce and very low on flavor. So getting the fresh breakfast stuff is the best in my opinion. read more

This review is coming from a non-coffee drinker, so you should probably keep that in mind. However, I think this place is so great. Love the vibe, and the wide rage of selection. I got the mate cocoa spice green tea. It was tasty as far as tea flavors go. I also ordered a vegan burrito that includes black beans, tomato, avocado, onion, potatoes, and soy sausage. I think it was great for the price, and pretty decent flavor. It's a pretty popular spot for locals to hang out. And a perfect spot for me to have a client meeting. ive been coming to this amazing coffee house for over a decade 7 days a week, but unfortunately today is my last day to buy anything from them! since covid hit I have watched their prices climb for a regular drip coffee from $2 to $2.50 to $3.50....I walked in there today to get my usual dark drip coffee and they wanted $4.25 for a drip coffee!!!! I'm sorry but you've lost your damn mind!!!! it really sucks because I love this place so very much and im going to have hard time not going there but highway robbery on a cup of regular coffee is a sin. and my money is more important to me than good coffee... When it comes to coffee shops that have great food options, I think it's tough to rate it on the coffee alone. However, that's the case with a review. I'll start by saying I truly wish 3.5 Stars was an option. I'm totally torn between a 3 and a 4 star rating on this one because of the fact that the customer service and atmosphere are stellar, I just didn't love the coffee, or feel it came with the kind of explanation it deserves. Strictly Organic is situated on a busy street corner that appears to separate some really nice residential areas from a commercial quadrant of shops and eateries. Out front there's a big open patio with quite the selection of tables and chairs, as well as some great shade from a mature tree in the center. The morning temps in Bend during the summer are perfect for enjoying the outdoors, and this is a great patio, enhanced by the white noise of the passing cars. Inside, the space has high ceilings and large windows, giving it a great open feel, but it can also get quite loud with the kitchen and register going full speed. As for the coffee, they offer a number of different roasts and serve them in airpots with descriptions attached. Knowing organic coffee comes at a premium, I figured the person at the counter would offer a bit more info about the coffees they're serving. The cards do fine, but the descriptions are simple and straightforward. Basically, there's no story to these coffees, no special roasting processes, and no interesting tasting notes to describe them, all of which I have come to love and look for in a coffee shop. Now all of this is personal preference, and from the long line that never stopped, it's clear Bend loves this place. I would not hesitate to return on a figure visit. It's a fantastic place to work. The coffee is good. And the staff is incredibly sweet and attentive. read more

Let me start by saying the coffee and food here is terrific... and they have great vegan options, which shows they care about the planet. The reason I have to give Strictly Organic just one star is that despite state law regarding Covid, the management their does not require their employees to wear masks... they allow them to wear face shields without masks -- and every legitimate health, science and medical organization says that face shields without masks do not protect customers or employees. Furthermore, some of the employees that do wear masks, leave their noses outside their masks. Any person living in the Covid age knows that these lax practices are irresponsible and dangerous. The management of Strictly Organic must be considered irresponsible and dangerous until they enforce the law... and just use common sense. read more

I have been here a bunch of times and have generally had a great experience. Today we ordered in the drive thru and when pulling up to the window was greeted by an extremely rude person. I kindly asked how much do I owe you and his response was. I assume there is a name or something you are wanting to pay for. I left. I then called and spoke to Lee Johnson as the lead/manager. He wouldn't even listen to feedback and said I would be best to call back Monday. I'd like to be clear - this is a service industry and these folks need some training on what that means. I will call back Monday and I will never visit this company again. I hope the ownership sees this and takes note of how their brand is represented. Extremely rude servers, very mediocre coffee, poor use of inside space so that you spend the long wait being cramped and uncomfortable, and employees who actually YELL at you if you're not standing exactly where they think you should be standing. I got such attitude today from an older woman with long, light brown hair-- let's call her Karen. She even yelled at me for not saying Thank you! "Thank you"? For horrible service and a 20-minute wait?? I don't think so, Karen! The health dept. should really shut these snotty people down because they haven't found a way to allow people to wait without being 2" from each other. There's plenty of unused space in this place--if only there were anyone intelligent enough to design it for the convenience of the customer and not just the employees. And god forbid you actually want cream and sugar in your coffee--they don't seem to even realize that they need a person in charge of doing that for you. Come on, Covid has been a thing for 7 months now. If you can't figure out how to give customers a decent experience, then stay closed. I will absolutely never go back to this overrated, overpriced, attitude-filled joint. You've got lots of other choices where you won't be verbally abused, Bend. I also enjoy their sandwiches and sweet treats. I will start by saying the staff was very nice and friendly to us. But...that didn't make up for the very, very burnt tasting cappuccino I got. We're talking worse than Starbucks French roast burnt. This coffee roaster and cafe is the best around town. Housed in an industrial looking facility with high ceilings and a roasting facility at the rear, this spot is for any coffee aficionado. They brew organic coffee, make hot and cold caffeinated beverages that will rival any good cafe and offer tasty options from gluten free baked goods to breakfast burritos and other comfort style new wave sandwiches. I was in town for a few days and happened upon this joint. The patio outside offers plenty of seating to relax and enjoy your beverage. I had an iced coffee the first day and a beautiful red eye the second. I love that they provide real spoons and other utensils for coffee stirs and preparation. Just drop your used one in the hot soapy water filled bucket and they'll clean and reuse! If you need a paleo organic snack bar or biscotti to go, you'll find it here too. Used to love the coffee but a recent visit was a bad experience. First of all the two female attendants had sassy attitude. Then the Mom's nuts turned out to be rancid. Although I normally order French roast which was not available I tried the Italian roast which was burnt coffee. Will there be an unmelted square of yellow cheese staring up from the tortilla? Will there be one drop of salsa verde, or will my burrito be swimming in it? This is one of those typical local coffee joints which has a good quality product but tends to attract a staff that focuses on everything except their customers. I have to say their breakfast burrito is one of the best I've had. But the surly attitudes of the staff do not make this a very welcoming environment. I get it... you're a young hipster (or an aging one). Smiling is lame, for like the straight world, man! (don't blame me, blame Courtney Love). The patchouli makes smiling nearly impossible. Or maybe your dreads are in our face obscuring your vision. Whatever it is that is making you scowl at me while I'm giving you money, I'm kind of over it. There is a big corporate coffee chain in town -- HQ in Seattle hint hint -- whatever you may have to say about their coffee or their business practices, they at least smile at me and make me feel like they want my business and appreciate my presence in their store. I have a suggestion for the management and staff of Strictly Organic: *FIELD TRIP!* I know your street cred might take a massive hit, but take a walk down Bond St., left on Franklin, quick right on Wall and you're there! It's a beautiful day in Central Oregon! Spend ten minutes watching the corporate drones interact with their customers, Mr. and Mrs. America. Take notes. Try it out. This is the best coffee in Bend, hands down. I don't think I have been in a coffee shop that has it's ethos together as solid as Strictly Organic. The coffee is never over roasted and is fantastic in any way. I prefer getting a drip coffee or Americano before trying anything else when picking my favourite coffee places. This place passed the test from the very beginning. The atmosphere here is really cool..I wish there were more neighbourhood coffee shops like this place where I live. Went in to do a little work. Was standing behind a family, overhearing their conversation with the cashier and the barista. "Can't" was a word used by both of them a lot. One of the customers wanted a half-caff iced Americano. Apparently, that can't be done. At all. In the universe (given the waves of attitude coming off the employees)! My turn. Cashier can't be bothered to know what kind of baked goods are in the case. "Strawberry? Raspberry?" Also, as it's my first time here, I do not actually know the baked goods are self-serve. But apparently I should have known. And then he couldn't remember that I wanted a Lemonade. He's a Sass Master Level 10. I think he was more focused on the girl behind me because they chatted for about 10 minutes after I left to find a seat. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the scone and lemonade were decent, ample seating, speedy, free wifi, and I know in reality that the two jokers behind the bar don't represent the whole company. Especially considering the other glowing remarks here. But for me, today, they were representing the whole company. They don't seem to know that. This spot probably would have been in the running for a five star review if the staff weren't so testy. When I came into the shop, having never ordered here before, with no one else in line, I walked right up to the counter. In the process of ordering my burrito the short tempered hostess became visibly impatient. Her eyes widened and she paused angrily when I needed to ask her to repeat the sentence she rushed through the first time. If I weren't immediately turned away from the place because of the short service staff, I would have been better positioned to enjoy the burrito and coffee which weren't half bad. Coffee is okay but the service is terrible at this location. Not only did I receive no greeting when I arrived (or acknowledgement - I was the only one at the counter) but when I asked the lady how she was, she snapped back "WHAT!?" followed by "What can I get you?!" in a hyper aggressive tone. The attitude of her and the other employees did not change as I placed a iced cold coffee order, no smile was given nor even a welcoming feeling. I felt as if I disserviced her and her employees by being there. Note to the incredibly unpleasant women working there: There are MANY other coffee shops, with the same quality coffee as your place and with DECENT human beings working there. I don't expect you to be overly friendly, but decent customer service is not too much to ask for.
