The service is almost always good and the guy that built the bike when I bought it was really cool, helpful, and informative. I can't say the prices are always great, but what place has that? I will say they always have deals and good sales and so the pricing is pretty good. They have a large selection and the place is really big so there's usually many of each item in stock. I would recommend them for, at least, an option when you're shopping for sporting goods.

We love visiting BPS's, it's like going into the wilderness without the prep and mosquito bites. We're only semi-outdoors people of the paved or at least graveled/dirt-road variety, and not too much rugged terrain please for my getting-old bones. Pros: - It's for pros, hence the name, lots of specialty brands. - I feel like I'm a pro when I come here, only need to trick me. - My kids get such a kick out of this place, it's got all the cool gadgets to make camping and other outdoors adventures high-tech and fun - So many taxidermy animals, my wife hates seeing them and get squeamish, but the kids and I find them fun to look at. I personally think they're cool. Too bad I can't bring one home. - Some things on sale are pretty reasonably priced. - Huge place to walk around in, get your exercise done indoors in perfectly temp-controlled environment. - Clean bathrooms and the whole place is kept up nicely. Cons: - Some items are definitely full-retail prices - mostly hiking shoes, water sandals, didn't see much if any discounts for those. - Other items seem even higher than retail at other stores - grills, camping equipment, some knives (although I don't know prices for those as much). All in all, a great place to visit, stick to sale stuff and you can find some decent to good deal for your next outdoors adventure. Service from staff is good if you need help, just ask, otherwise, it's more a hands-off, self-serve, wander-as-you-like type of place which I prefer anyway.

The young man took the time to make sure we got gear that fit properly and also gave me options for different price points being very honest and transparent about pros/cons of each one. Liz took the time to make sure his helmet was fitting correctly being so sweet and gentle. I bought a new helmet, and used shoulder pads. Not even a month later the strap to the shoulder pads broke off. I brought them in, it appeared like the straps had been replaced before. The guy was great, he gave me a newer set of used pads in the same size, and credited me some money off those from the broken ones. The ammo selection is solid, the prices are reasonable for brick-and-mortar, and the optics section is pretty nice for rifles. The magazine and holster selection leave much to be desired, but that's expected. The place has nearly anything you need for fishing with the exception of deer hair flies for trout (no idea why). Everything else I wanted they had stocked. The clothes are absolutely insanely priced unless they are on sale. Sometimes I grab a pair of boots I like, the selection is pretty large. Anyway, worth checking out. They do seem to love pushing store branded credit cards but I believe that's a corporate requirement for the sales team. Great experience overall.

My toe pain overtook my apprehension and I dragged my formally slender body inside. Monika came up to me and helped put my mind at ease. She spent time checking out what was wrong with my current shoes then took me over to scan my feet. Turns out my left foot is longer than my right. She started pulling out boxes of shoes to find the right fit for me, then we went through what colors I liked. What shoe companies I liked. I came in looking for a pair of shoes that would actually fit me properly...I ended up buying two pairs. One pair was not her store, so we arranged for the shoes to be shipped to my home. I was so relieved, I went back the next day, on our way out of town and bought another pair that I really wanted and my wife came in and bought herself a pair and sliders. Service was great.
