I gotta be honest, I wanted to give it 4 stars because it's so damn expensive... but it's just worth it! The breadsticks, they're delicious pretzel sticks of perfect consistency! The sides, they're huge and delicious! The streaks, perfect! We had the 12oz filets and 3 sides. Everything was great! The sides were excellent! The mash potatoes were far beyond my expectations! I didn't even get to eat the jambalaya we ordered because we were so full! The sweet corn, it was in a cheese based sauce that was nowhere short of tantalizing! It was like a party in my mouth and every taste bud was invited! Dessert was a cross between cassata cake and tiramisu, it was good, but nothing compared to our main meal, and that's what we came for. Strip was great! We didn't have reservations but stopped in and got in luckily. We sat at the bar but the bar staff was GREAT! They recommended a few dishes and cuts and wow it was great. The sides are so big we had leftovers for 2 days. I'm glad there's such a great steakhouse out west so we don't have to go all the way downtown. At this moment in time I cannot think of a better steakhouse experience than the one I had at Strip while out for Galentine's Day (ladies celebrating ladies). The restaurant has a barn theme to it, but more intimate upscale vibe than your Uncle Vernon's cow barn out in Montana. My friend and I were seated upstairs in a table off to the side that allowed us to have a view of the place while still feeling like it was just us eating dinner and chatting away. Our waitress was excellent - very pleasant and we lacked for nothing (she did recite things fast so I had to ask her to slow down and repeat, but that's super minor). The manager even stopped to ask us how our meal was going. We decided to do the couples dinner for $88. It includes two 6oz filets with choice of butter/sauce, two soups or house salads, two sides, and one dessert, oh and don't forget the warm pretzel rods with peanut butter. Incredible value! You get a wonderful meal at an affordable price! We were a bit gluttonous and started with the cheese and shrimp dip with flour nachos appetizer $10. It was slightly sweet but still very good. I wasn't a fan of the peanut butter butter but the soft pretzel stick was good. Side salad was okay, eating some greens made me feel delusionally better about my heavy meal. I got my filet cooked medium with a garlic butter and it was perfect. Like melt in your mouth meat. For sides we got the cheesy scalloped potatoes and the creamed corn. Ooh my so good and enough for four people! We ended our meal with raspberry cobbler that included ice cream and whip cream. I had to be rolled out like Violet from Willy Wonka but it was a glorious meal. Also, pay attention to the decor, they have hands and other art pieces on the wall that you can slip money into for a great cause. All donations go to Genesis House, a domestic violence center because "Hands are meant to help, not hurt". Instantly I loved this place even more for helping others! I waited to write this review to see if the owner would contact me after speaking to the Manager and General Manager. Still, no call 4 days later. 4 of us went to the Strip for a birthday celebration 3 ordered the steak "special". 2 steaks were under cooked and sent back, delivered back to our table and again, not cooked the way they asked. Both steaks were sent back to the kitchen again and delivered to the table a 3rd time. By this time, all the sides were cold and no one ate the steaks or the sides. The WORST part, when we received the bill, those "specials" were 120.00 each! Which was NEVER told to us. If I order a 120.00 steak I expect it to be cooked exactly how I ordered it! The least they could have done was take money off the bill, instead offered a 100.00 gift card 2 days later, which we refused. Why would we want to come back and risk another BAD meal? Terrible customer service. The GM said I could call the owner, I said he has my number, he can call me. Still waiting for the call! Until then, I will let everyone I know about our terrible experience. This used to be a fabulous place to eat, I have seen the reviews recently that weren't very good, I wish I would have listened to them! With so many great restaurants in the area that serve steak AND care about the patron's service and experience, I say pick another place! Disappointed. First, the service was very good. Greated right away and off to our table upstairs. Our waitress was very pleasant and we setllted in with a cocktail to start. Drink were well made and decent pours. Then it was time to dive into the menu. We ordered an app. It was called Petunia. A crispy pork belly with some drizzlings of ginger glaze and a celery root puree. Very good. Was warm. We asked for some bread. Then we ordered main meal. I got my standard filet, my wife got the petite filet, and my son a special. My steak was undercooked. My wife's was perfect, and my sons was covered in items he asked to be put on the side. We asked for bread again. Since it as an ala carte restaurant, which basically means add $10 on your entree price for a potatoe, we ordered some steak fries, and a baked potatoe. We finally got bread, 2 pretzel buns for 3 people. Cold. No salt. In a basket on a napkin that did not look clean. ugh. We ordered a really nice wine and enjoyed every drop of it. Being my birthday, my wife ordered their birthday offering. It was a small cake (4-5 inches) with candles. Very nice. Cake was delicious. So why 3 stars? Because 3 is "OK". And....well, for a $300+ meal, I expected better. Plus, my son was too polite to send his steak back and barely ate any of it. He took it home. As we drove home we talked about it. Again, our waitress was very nice, but did seem to have a LOT of tables to cover. Maybe that is why we felt a bit under-served. We all agreed there are other steakhouses in the area that are better. Sad, beacuse the building (old barn) is so cool, and I wanted it to be a homerun, and not what I had read in reviews. One other thing. I went there yesterday with my friend for his birthday. I called Friday night to make a reso but they were full. So we went early and were seated upstairs immediately. The host said our servers name was Shontae. She was great. She was the only server in a white shirt, so assuming she was a Lead? She knew every special and there were a lot! The food however was mediocre at best. I'm giving 4 stars still but hopefully next time is better. (We didn't mention anything to the server so that's our fault.) My friend ordered the Jakes Steak mid well, it was well. Not a hint of pink. He didn't tell me tIll after he ate more than half of it so that's why I didn't bother telling her. The lobster pasta didn't taste like lobster at all. I thought there would be chunks of lobster but there was none. I ordered the grouper and it was literally tasteless. The pretzel bread is good! Are you kidding? This place is one of my favorites!!! The old barn structure has been relocated from middle Ohio. It makes the whole experience very unique and memorable. However, the casual "barn" exterior is completly trumped by the elegant interior table setup and design. We have been twice now and both times have been over-impressed with the quality of our meals. Truly disappointed in our experience at Strip tonight. This is one of our favorite steakhouses in Cleveland and are always recommending it to friends. Unfortunately tonight's experience left a bad taste in our mouth, there were several mishaps that we easily overlooked until there was a hair in our dish. We ordered the chicken dish on the menu which ended up having a hair in it, we let the server know and even showed him the hair, no manager came over to speak to us or anything. We were offered a complimentary dessert for a meal that was half eaten because there was a hair in it !!! Truly unacceptable for a place like Strip. So now to mention to other mishaps, we had to ask for silverware once we had our first course on the table, and also not enough side plates were initially disturbed for everyone in our party. Of course these were things we would overlook if the hair situation was better handled. Once walking inside we noticed NO ONE in the kitchen was wearing hair nets. We have totally changed our thoughts on Strip after this experience. If we're paying 5 star prices we have 5 star expectations. read more

Strip has been my list for a few years now. I used to work at a steak and seafood house in the medina/Brunswick area and the food for the price was great. So I'm always on the hunt to find a great steakhouse closer to Lakewood that isn't priced insanely. Now strip has $$$ as the price indicator which is true compared to other restaurants but if you are looking right at steakhouses I believe the price is more of a $$. Yes the sides are a la carte but the pricing for a steak is very reasonable. They also have a dinner for two which entails: two 6oz filets, two house salads or soup of the days, two sides and a dessert for $88. That's a great deal. We are going to try that next time. We sat at the bar as we went on a whim and didn't make a reservation. We waited about 10mins until 2 bar seats opened up and we were served and greeted immediately. Holly the bar manager answered any questions we had as it was our first time. The seats we had at the bar allowed us to watch the cooks do their thing which was fun to watch. The decor was rustic with some modern twists. The food is absolutely delicious. We started off with the mussels that had a rosemary white wine base and cooked with sausage. I'm not a Fan of mussels but my boyfriend loved them, I loved the base to dip the bread. Next they brought out pretzel bread with butter. Omg amazing. My boyfriend ordered the boilermaker med rare- it came out perfectly crisp on top with the most perfect warm red center. The flavors were to die for. I ordered the 6oz filet prepared med which was flavored and cooked perfectly. We ordered a side of the pierogis as well. They were topped with sour cream and caramelized onions. In a review writing mood so here goes with strip... Have been to Strip many times and yet to be disappointed. Drinks are good, fantastic wine selection, amazing happy hour pricing and selection. And of course the food, out of 30 visits, have yet to be let down. I won't say everything is alway perfect but pretty close almost every time. Usually sit at the bar and the bartender(s) are very attentive and have a great knowledge of the menu and naturally the drinks. Went here for my husbands birthday and had a reservation. We were sat upstairs in the back corner next to a loud extremely dirty floor fan. We had 6 people, and no one could hear each other talk. We asked that it be turned off or we be moved, and the hostess and waitress told us no. We were disgusted with their attitude and lack of assistance. It was a very uncomfortable dinner and we were all very upset. The steaks ordered were under cooked and over priced. 3 of us discussed how sick we were the next day. One of the people from our group was vomiting all night from the lobster bisque. This was a go to spot for us in the past for celebrations, but we will NEVER go back again. BUYER BEWARE! We had an awful experience for what we thought would be a rare special dinner. First of all WE were the ones showing some basic cheerful restaurant etiquette to the front desk staff. Sadly, it went downhill from there. Without going into too much detail, we were upsold on a "special cut" that would satisfy both of us. We later found out this special cut was Wagyu which we both dislike and was no where near the $60 steak we intended to share - it was $142. They take the reservation for the table in the bar but they won't give you the table when you arrive. And then a massive attitude along with no table. This has happened on more than one occasion so we won't go back. The rules change depending on their mood evidently. My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here. We made a reservation on line and were surprised when the only time available was at 4:45pm on a Wednesday. Nevertheless we made the reservation-this is interesting because while we were seated and for the duration of our dinner, all the tables around us remained unseated. When asked if happy hour was only in the bar the Hostess stated it was so, no pre dinner drink during Happy Hour. The ambiance is Barn chic but a little musty. Sue was our server and was very good. She guided us through the menu with ease and was attentive to our needs. Food and Drinks: The drinks were over priced and just average. I am a whiskey drinker and ordered the old fashion listed on their specialty drinks menu and for $17 would have expected a better pour of whisky-Buffalo Trace ($35 bottle). My wife also ordered a drink from the specialty drink menu-save your money and head a few doors down to Nemo's for an after dinner drink-just an all round better pour! Dinner-since it was our anniversary, we ordered the dinner for two-I upgraded to a larger filet and my wife added shredded lobster. The salads and sides were good. The steaks were lack luster at best with little flavor and barely seasoned. For all the hype that there cuts of steak are 100% angus beef one would think they would dry age, cold smoke or do something to enhance the steak. The cook on the steaks were hard to tell because it was so dark in the restaurant but my med rare was more on the rare side. If you can't tell I was not impressed with the steaks, ambiance and the drinks. I would not recommend for the price-definitely not worth the $200 + we spent. read more
