I've been here twice and it's been excellent both times. I prefer to eat clean and am dairy-free (but not vegan). I eat and cook a lot of vegan food and lived near SF for 3 years. I ate 1/2 of both items I ordered (brunch combo) and I'm so full! I had the breakfast taco and French Toast. Both were well-seasoned and substantial. I did not need meat or more protein. Both dishes I got were a perfect example of what vegan food should be - not a bunch of meat substitutes and imitations but genuinely good ingredients like fresh fruit and veggies and seasoning. They make their own plant milk blend and it makes a very good latte. I really should not order a pastry to go but the brownie and donut look very tempting. read more

They are both so welcoming sharing lists of ingredients and tips on items I was most interested in trying to make in my home. We are located in South Carolina, but if we lived here, we definitely would eat here often. The entire menu is vegan. That is hard to find. Food was cold and nothing like displayed on the website. The hot soup shown in the picture was actually straight from the refrigerator. The salad was very small and chickpeas were hard. If this was represented in the pictures on the website then I would understand but I'm very disappointed and unsatisfied and particularly frustrated with the amount of money we spent here. In the area for an appointment, finding this local vegan spot sounded enticing for lunch. We were greeted by 2 friendly dogs who were soaking up the sun on the beds in the parking lot. Lots of options from breakfast tacos to veggie patties. We enjoyed the food as it was quite tasty. However, the dirty dishes on tables, same dogs in the kitchen, plus uncovered food for samples sans utensils on the counter and more food for sale on the counter are not sanitary food safety practices. My review for this place is long overdue. Over the past several months, I have visited their stall at the Buckhead farmers market two times and visited the storefront in Sandy Springs three times. I love the cozy vibe of their storefront. I've tried their savory entrees as well as their pastries and desserts. I have previously ordered a raw cauliflower pizza, Thai-inspired bean soup and a flatbread. Strive shines in their desserts and pastries that are made with impeccable ingredients. Notable highlights include the snickers bar, seasonal harvest scone, and the raw cinnamon roll. My God My God, this place is so heavenly and divine. For starters Lauren and Claudine greeted us and gave us a tour of the food selections they had. From tacos, salads, soups, desserts, she showed us everything and stated that we could customize everything to our specifications. Everything looked great and I wanted to try everything. We tried the breakfast tacos, jackfruit tacos, mushroom galette, buffalo cauliflower, quesadillas, and there was such an explosion of flavors. It was just orgasmic. This place has a fantastic array of both savory and sweet assortments. The interior is very cozy and welcoming and it's an overall pleasant experience. The staff was super helpful and willing to explain all the offerings. I ordered a cauliflower Margherita pizza and an apple harvest treat. I tried the apple harvest first and it was just okay, it's more pleasing to the eye than to the palette. It was pretty much like an earthy scone that tasted like oats, apple, and nuts. The pizza was really good though! Very flavorful and light. Gives the feeling of indulgence while still being healthy. Overall I'd definitely try this place again, it's getting 3 stars mainly because the apple harvest was lack luster. But hopefully with my next visit I'll enjoy the selection more and will update my rating to a 4/5. Also, on a minor note, highly recommend the staff be mindful of talking over food. I hate saying it because they were so lovely, but there were some food trays on the display and the staff member was explaining the dishes. The trays were so close to her face so definetely need to be mindful of breathing/talking over the food. I am not often in this area, and had bookmarked this place to try the next time I was. This is mostly a grab n go, though they have a made to order brunch on the weekends. Hot foods can be warmed for you before you go. Everything is GF and vegan! There are a variety of base ingredients including Bob's cup for cup and oats. The breakfast tacos were scrumptious - hashbrowns, just egg, beyond sausage, pico (?) and they will add sliced avocado if available. There was a spicy sauce on the avocado (too spicy for me, I have no chill, but the flavor was awesome). We also tried the "quesadillas" which are really more like a taquito, rolled in a corn tortilla. Those were black beans and soy chorizo and the flavor was really good. Those come work pico and green salsa as well. These are maybe a better value at 3 for $13 than ~ $8+ for the breakfast taco each. (Taco Tuesday gets you 10% off!) We also tried the apple raspberry crostada (~$11) and a cranberry orange scone (~$9). These would be phenomenal toasted at home, but they didn't really make it that far. Definitely a splurge for the pricing,, but worth it for the taste. They also have a smoothies ($12.50+) and a refrigerated case with kombucha and my elderberry fairy products. First of all...WOW! I come out to ATL for work a few times a year and as a gluten-free vegan it's challenging finding the perfect spots that checks all the boxes. While working on my latest project, I was in the mood for some vegan gluten free pancakes or waffles. I searched all around Buckhead and Midtown and couldn't find anything. Finally, Strive popped up and when I saw the menu I just knew it was the right choice. I called ahead of my visit and luckily got to speak with Claudine, the owner. She was so sweet and hearing that the place was busy further confirmed that I was in for a treat! My instincts were on point! I ordered so much food, partially because my eyes were bigger than my stomach but also I wanted to taste a little bit of everything. The waffles and poppyseed pancakes are chef's kiss to perfection. The tacos...sooo delicious. But the star of my heart was the Uttapam (a Mother's Day Special) Avocado Toast. It gave Gratitude Cafe in LA a run for its money for me. Soooo good that I had to place another order of toast to go! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was super chill and comfy! I could have hug out there all day, if I didn't have anything else to do. Chatting it up with Claudine was great too! She was so sweet and her heart is definitely in the right place when it comes to serving delicious food to all of those interested in taking the plant-based vegan journey. This is the coolest spot and a home away from home, for me! Strive and its surrounding community is lovely, not to mention the food! Everything is vegan, gluten free and inspires an interest in gourmet plant-based cuisine. The pretty cauliflower crust pizzas caught my eye and got me coming back. Wow! A must-visit vegan spot if you are in Atlanta. I stopped by on a Wednesday morning shortly after they opened. I had seen photos of brunch dishes and a brunch menu on Yelp, but learned that brunch is only available on the weekends. On weekday mornings, they have specialty lattes, a variety of baked goods (including their very popular blueberry and banana cookies, which are so healthy they legit can be a breakfast), and breakfast tacos (which include black beans, vegan egg, a variety of vegetables, and vegan egg and are then topped with fresh avocado and, if you want, can also be wrapped in a collard leaf). I went with two breakfast tacos -- and loved them so much I ordered another one. They were so flavorful and had a variety of textures, too. Absolutely delicious! I took a few baked goods to go: a raw cinnamon roll made with pecan and oat flour and psyllium husk, tahini chocolate chip cookies, and a double chocolate pistachio cookie. The baked good were absolutely amazing. The cinnamon roll was fluffy and light, the tahini chocolate chip cookies were divine and not too sweet, and the double chocolate pistachio cookies had a rich chocolate flavor without being too sweet. The owner, Claudine, is so personable and friendly. We spoke for about fifteen minutes and I learned about her journey in the restaurant world. With that being said, I came across Strive Foods from a referral and from what I saw and the reviews - it looked pretty darn tasty! Location: It's Sandy springs area and located inside a plaza so great location and parking. Finding the actual building can be a little confusing because they don't have a huge sign on top of their spot. I wound up driving all the way up top to the other shops trying to find it. Appearance: The four stars is attributed to the appearance of the actual restaurant. It didn't seem as clean as I'd like. There were ladders and other objects like right behind the counter. It was an eye sore for sure. However the food looked absolutely amazing! Everything looked yummy and good and fresh as advertised! Menu items: Be aware, the menu items are fresh and seem to change daily. We went in for specific items and they weren't there so I think that is something that should be advertised "menu changes daily". Experience: I'm not sure who rung me up but she was awesome. Great personality, and knew the ingredients and menu very well. I felt like I was well versed in what they had to offer.
