Lauren and Claudine are totally delightful. We came in around 2 pm on Christmas Eve. We ordered lunch and then picked up several desserts to try with the rest of the family tonight! They are both so welcoming sharing lists of ingredients and tips on items I was most interested in trying to make in my home. We are located in South Carolina, but if we lived here, we definitely would eat here often. The entire menu is vegan. That is hard to find. Lunch was fantastic... the breakfast taco, black bean enchiladas, spaghetti squash lasagne! We ordered desserts, slices of: pecan pie, pumpkin pie, raw chocolate bar, carrot cookies, scones, and tahini chocolate chip cookies. Can't wait to try them. https://strivefoods.smartonlineorder.com/ for menu

Dedicated Vegan and Gluten Free Eatery. I bookmarked this restaurant while I was still living in the DMV. During a midweek self-care day, I figured this was this perfect opportunity to try Strive Foods. This neighborhood Vegan eatery is a gem in every way. From the moment you walk in, you're met with warm, welcoming energy. The staff was genuinely friendly, always taking time to chat, engage, and make you feel at home. They do Vegan food beautifully with their creative and flavorful recipes. The food is cooked and presented with in a communal setting so you can watch, sample, and discover. Their grab-and-go selection is fantastic too,l easy, high quality, and always something tempting. The weekends bring Brunch highlighting favorites like their French Toast, Pumpkin Pancakes, Avocado Toast, and Mushroom Galettes. For my own favorites, is the Quesadilla, full of delicious veggies/herbs filling, and the Salted Caramel Brownie, pure decadence and not overdone. The decor provides such an inspirational and warm environment. From the varied affirmations, mini-nooks (books, music and etc) provides a cozy environment. They also offer a variety of wellness retail products. Strives is more than a place to eat, it's a food-lovers' community, a spot where Vegan cuisine gets its due, and every visit feels special. Claudin and Lauren made my 1st visit extremely wonderful and full of light.

Strive Foods offers so many delicious plant based/vegan meals that are ready to grab and go! They also have family sized meals for purchase as well. You can even bring your own containers with you. The space itself isn't anything fancy or shiny, but the food is outstanding! Everything is fresh, organic, and made with the cleanest, local ingredients that will nourish your body and mind. The menu does change daily so keep that in mind if you're looking to get something specific. Don't skip the desserts and baked goods! The staff is always very friendly and I always have a delightful experience, especially when I get to see the owner's Husky!

Food was cold and nothing like displayed on the website. The hot soup shown in the picture was actually straight from the refrigerator. The salad was very small and chickpeas were hard. If this was represented in the pictures on the website then I would understand but I'm very disappointed and unsatisfied and particularly frustrated with the amount of money we spent here. I feel deceived and probably will never return. Money waste.

The food was flavorful and thoughtfully made, and the staff was extremely professional. One of the best vegan spots!

One of the better tasting vegan meals I've had. The place is eclectic with lots of reusable materials. Service was great. Small but quaint with good quality ingredients. Beautifully presented foods.

Food and staff is a whole vibe!!!! From the moment that I walked into the Appalachian vibed cafe, I felt a spiritual connection. I felt calm and grounded and this is uber important to me as I am changing my relationship with food. I suffer terribly from stomach ulcers, diverticulitis and now celiac! I am aware that an unhealthy gut is spiritual blockage that is connected to my root chakra. Eating @ Strive foods contribute to my spiritual balance, cleansing and nourishes my organism.

My review for this place is long overdue. Over the past several months, I have visited their stall at the Buckhead farmers market two times and visited the storefront in Sandy Springs three times. I love the cozy vibe of their storefront. I've tried their savory entrees as well as their pastries and desserts. I have previously ordered a raw cauliflower pizza, Thai-inspired bean soup and a flatbread. Strive shines in their desserts and pastries that are made with impeccable ingredients. Notable highlights include the snickers bar, seasonal harvest scone, and the raw cinnamon roll. It does seem like they are perpetually understaffed as there is usually only 1 person in the front and back of the house. Be sure to join their rewards program so you can accrue points.

My God My God, this place is so heavenly and divine. For starters Lauren and Claudine greeted us and gave us a tour of the food selections they had. From tacos, salads, soups, desserts, she showed us everything and stated that we could customize everything to our specifications. Everything looked great and I wanted to try everything. We tried the breakfast tacos, jackfruit tacos, mushroom galette, buffalo cauliflower, quesadillas, and there was such an explosion of flavors. It was just orgasmic. With each bite there were more flavors to enjoy and discover. The food is just so friggin delicious. By far the best vegan/ plant based food we have tried in several years. The key lime cake is sooooo good, the butterfinger thingy that my daughter had was just amazing. The decor, ambiance and vibe was so inviting and and immaculate. I really enjoyed everything about Strive! Thank you so much Lauren and Claudine!

The Food here is ABSOLUTELY amazing!! I will definitely be a regular here. Every bite just made my soul smile :) I got the brunch special which is only done on Sundays. Met Lauren at the Peachtree Framers Market in Bucket and she suggested we come to the restaurant in Sandy and I am so overjoyed that I went. She is the sweetest!!!

My wife and I were visiting from the west coast and found this cozy, delicious spot on Yelp. We had the flavorFUL, breakfast tacos and a couple of the smoothies. My body needed the #7 and I highly recommend it. I am from Georgia and we have family up and down the state, so, we'll be back! Thanks for filling our water bottles and the pizza was amazing.

At the recommendation of the staff we went in heavy on the breakfast tacos - so not disappointed. It's been a rough go on the visit to Atlanta to find restaurants that are still using fresh ingredients and offering a variety of vegan and gluten free options. The smoothies were divine and the restaurant/dining area is welcoming. We got snacks to go, including the granola for a flight - we will definitely be back!

I went here today for the first time, because I wanted something clean and fresh to eat; and I absolutely love this place. Claudine, the owner is absolutely amazing and Sarah at the register was great as well. They made sure I was taken care of and had everything I needed. I went in to do a food vlog and got some great content to post! I will definitely be back. If you're ever in the area, you should check them out. You will not be disappointed!

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the restaurant was spotless, and the ambiance was warm, modern, and inviting. It was the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great conversation, and have an outstanding meal. The Star Michele pizza was easily one of the best pizzas I've ever had. My friend and I also decided to try the Nutella Pizza, and it was absolutely worth it--rich, delicious, and the perfect dessert. The Caesar salad was fresh and lightly dressed, which I really appreciated. Every dish we ordered was excellent, and the quality really stood out. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing more friends to experience this place with me.

Also subbed vegan cheese. The upcharge for the two options added almost doubled the price, which is obnoxious, but such is life as a dairy and gluten and 'everything that is good and wonderful in the world' intolerant annoying human. We also split in of their spring mix salads and each got a glass of wine-cab for me, Pinot noir for the beautiful wife. Start with portions-huge. This wasn't a small salad plate that we split. This was a huge dinner bowl with a good 4 servings. We each had 2 full plates and still have leftovers. As for the pizza, most single serve pizzas, especially gluten free crusts, are 8-10". This was 13". It was gloriously big. And like John Morgan or Morgan & Morgan says, "size does matter". I sticking with 4 stars because I can't give 4.5 and there could have been more cheese and it needed a bit of salt and red pepper. There was good flavor but it was very mild. Also, while my cab was okay my wife's Pinot was awful. The pizza is very good though and like all my pizza reviews, it really only applies if, like me, you are intolerant or allergic to everything good and delicious. Take it for what it's worth. I think you'll really like it here though.

The bowl options looked fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a quick but satisfying meal. We arrived around 11:45 a.m., just before the lunch rush. I ordered the barbecue chicken bowl with black rice. Overall, my bowl was pretty good. The portions were solid, the ingredients tasted fresh, and it was filling without feeling heavy. My coworkers ordered the Greek bowl and what I believe was a teriyaki style bowl. The only strong feedback we had was regarding the seasoning on the Greek bowl. I noticed the seasoning appeared to be sprinkled on top of the chicken after the bowl was assembled. I think if the chicken were tossed in the seasoning beforehand, it would create a more impactful flavor throughout. As it was, my coworker felt the bowl leaned slightly bland because the seasoning did not fully incorporate. What truly stood out to me was the customer service. I believe the owner came in while we were there, and he was incredibly pleasant and hands on. As the lunch crowd grew, it was clear he remembered returning customers and even their usual orders. That level of attentiveness makes a difference. I would definitely return to try more menu options. Next time, I may ask for extra sauce or seasoning to give the bowl a stronger flavor boost. Overall, it is a great lunch spot with solid bowl options in Sandy Springs

Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Reviews I'd seen online mentioned parking is a bit limited and that the restaurant is frequently busy. So we were prepared for that even though we were going on a Thursday mid morning. I think there was an influx of people celebrating graduations because it was in fact very busy. However we got very lucky with parking and happened to come in right as someone was leaving. I was sure we would have a wait for a table, which of course would have been fine, but actually we were seated immediately! Which was super nice and unexpected. The atmosphere is bustling but not in a bad way. The restaurant itself is adorable and has a lot of character. It feels like you're having breakfast at an old friend's house. The service was great and our food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I ordered a specialty coffee, I believe it was the almond joy cold brew, and it was delicious. Strong, which is how I like it and not overly sweet. I ordered the chicken biscuit on the waiter's recommendation and it was absolutely the best fried chicken I've ever had. Juicy and crispy. My husband ordered the pimento cheese omelette and was very happy with it, the bacon was thick cut and smoky and flavorful. The pimento cheese grits that came on the side for me were also a stand out, such great flavor. The biscuits are fantastic and the blueberry basil jam that came with my husband's meal was such a nice touch. We will absolutely make a point to come back to Buttermilk Kitchen next time we visit the Atlanta area.

First things first: the Chicken Biscuit. Buttermilk Kitchen's biscuit is on the crunchy, honey-flavored side. I personally prefer fluffier, more buttery biscuits, so this one wasn't my favorite. That aside, the chicken was crispy and well-seasoned and paired well with the cheese grits. If you ever wanted a dry, crunchy version of Homegrown's Comfy Chicken Biscuit, come give this a shot. I also tried the Hash Bowl, which was a bit underwhelming. It was a *lot* of potatoes compared to the eggs and bacon bits, and there wasn't a lot of seasoning other than the bacon. Would rather recommend one of the other options if you end up visiting. The drinks are good as well, would recommend the matcha latte (not too sweet!) and the French Press coffee.

We were in Atlanta visiting family, who keep kosher, and scheduled a birthday dinner at Fuego…read moreMundo. I've only been in kosher restaurants a few times - and they were delis. However, I kept kosher when I raised my children, so I'm no stranger to observance. We started off with an order of the Fuego Animal Fries for the table. French fries topped with brisket, red onions, green chiles and queso sauce. The appetizer was excellent! See the attached picture, which tells a thousand words! The brisket was lean and tender, and braised perfectly. The red onions were sautéed and added such depth with the cheese and chiles! Next up, the Fried Cauliflower; crisp florets with a horseradish-roasted garlic aioli. The cauliflower was fried with a crispy, flavorful breading, and was tender inside. The horseradish sauce was very good and I dipped every bite. The last appetizer, the Southwest Rolls, fell short of expectations - most people didn't finish theirs. It's not that it had a 'bad taste', but the texture inside was really strange. It tasted sandy, or powdery to me - not what you would expect from a roll stuffed with brisket, black beans, corn and peppers. Maybe the beans were the reason; whatever, the recipe needs serious adjustment. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries for my main course. I was trying to decide between the brisket sandwich or the fried chicken sandwich-after the brisket and fries appetizer, I almost went with the brisket, but decided last minute to go with the 'Schnitzel Sandwich', as it's called. We all know what the term 'schnitzel' means when it comes to meats - pounding it down to about a 1/4 inch thick, breading and frying. In this dish, the chicken is pounded and fried - I was surprised to see, not one schnitzel, but two in my sandwich - see attached picture. It was a tasty chicken sandwich - it was tender - but, since it's so thin, it wasn't juicy - but, wasn't dry either. I prefer a large piece of meat when having fried chicken, but it was fine. Overall, I enjoyed the lunch at Fuego. If I return, I'm definitely trying the brisket sandwich!

On our way , we called twice to ask a question about gluten-free menu options. Both times the phone rang until the call disconnected. We walked in at 6:42. We stood by the "wait to be seated" sign. They have no host, and we were a foot away from a table dining. After we got there, a party arrived and were seated after talking to a manager/whoever ran the expo. I understand they probably called ahead or set it up, but at some point, guests need to be noticed - not just the ones who know the staff. Around 6:53 someone finally acknowledged us, but they just asked how many there were (2) and walked away. At 6:57 we sat after getting the attention of a different person, but not until after a table for two that hadn't been cleared but was empty since before we arrived was slowly cleaned. Once we were seated, we were not greeted until 7:05 - 8 minutes after sitting down. We had questions about allergies and the server seemed unsure of the menu. I found out that for the wings, you can't split sauces. Our server told us we could get a side of a second sauce. This was his idea, and we were surprised to be charged for it. No mention of an upcharge. Also - this sauce did not arrive until later. At 7:13, we placed our order. No alcohol or drinks were ordered. We had noted that we wanted to start with the wings as an appetizer. The wings arrived at the table at 7:22. The spicy sauce (that we were charged for) was not with the food. The wings were fine. The ranch was great. Entrees hit the table at 7:26. We'd hardly had a moment to eat the wings before everything was on the table. The burger and sandwich were fine. For the Fuego burger being $33 dollars, we expected a larger portion size or something more special about it, but it was just a burger. The BBQ Brisket Sandwich was also fine, but didn't feel worth $26 dollars. Both of our meals were good, but not good enough to justify the prices or lack of service. Throughout the dinner, we noticed our server took better care of other tables. I don't know if it's because we didn't buy alcohol (again, overpriced) or were only 2 people, but we felt like a second thought the entire time. For a place at this price point, we expected better. There are no sections for the servers in the building, so they have tables all over the restaurant, making it easier to forget a table. I think this is a symptom of how the restaurant is run. Our server didn't check on us until 7:34 which was when we got much needed water refills and the extra sauce that hadn't come. At 7:44 we finished eating. At 7:47 our server checked in and we asked for a box. At 7:48 he dropped the check and a box and said he would be right back to pick it up; he just had to clear a table for new guests. Our table wasn't cleared of the empty dishes. After waiting 11 minutes with the check and dirty table, a different staff member picked up the card at 7:59. She came back a minute later and we had to sign the check on a tablet she held. It asked if we wanted to leave a tip, but there was already a 20% service charge on the receipt. It's on the menu and website, but it feels scammy to not disclose this to guests upon payment and to have a "would you like to leave a tip" while an employee is holding the screen. Our meal, 10 wings (the upcharge sauce), the fuego burger, and the brisket sandwich, cost us $102 all said and done. I hope this was a fluke, but we will not be returning. At this price point, guests should be able to feel like they are being taken care of. Throughout the movement at dinner service, guest left and their tables weren't bussed or cleaned, and if they were, trash was left. We saw a lot of people around the restaurant receive better service and more attention. I work in fine dining myself and have a lot of empathy for being busy or understaffed, but I've never had a dining experience that truly made me feel like I was being taken advantage of.
