We decided to do a "train day" and so we parked at Fullerton station and spent a day riding the train. When we got back, we were hungry and so decided to give Stubrik's a go, not really knowing what yo expect, other than that it was close to the train station. Overall, we were super impressed. This place looks a little out of place in Downtown Fullerton. It has a barn like rustic charm. A full bar and several smaller dining tables. I also recall an upstairs lounge (maybe on my next trip to check it out) I sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender ordered up a nice glass of Cabernet from Austin Hope Winery. Meal consisted of the 12 ounce filet mignon cooked up nice and rare. Definitely worth the price. I look forward to checking out the rest of the menu on a future visit. read more

My wife and I visited with another couple while we were in Southern California. We didn't have Reservations and More lucky I think to get seated. Our waitress is very thoughtful and attentive. We had a variety of dishes at the table. My wife chose a chicken Caesar salad while I did their half roasted chicken. We also enjoyed some adult beverages, which were perfect! We truly enjoyed our meals. I thought the chicken was absolutely yummy! It can be a little dark in the steakhouse, especially seated in a booth in the back. But we preferred that over the close seating in the front and the noise that brings on. Great work! Keep it up! read more

LOCATION: Its located between other establishments. There is shared parking in the back but can get full. ATMOSPHERE: If you enter from the back entrance it will be a long hall with booths along the way. This leads to an opening where there is the dining area with tables and the bar. It's relaxing with dimmed lighting. There is another entrance/exit on this side that faces the street. If you feel like walking and checking out some stores you can take a stroll along the street. SERVICE: This was great. The employees were friendly and welcoming. FOOD: The food was delicious: I got the meatloaf. I loved it! The mashed potatoes were also delicious. In town for the week on business...was looking to sit down and enjoy a good steak. Went in just before 6pm today (a Wednesday), it was not busy at all...maybe 12 customers in total. There was no host on duty to sit down incoming customers so I proceeded to look for a server to help me with a table near the bar area....Long story short, waited 10 mins for one of the employees/servers to acknowledge or greet me...maybe ask if I've been helped...nope...everyone in the place avoided me like I wasn't even there. Even the bartender on duty made eye contact with me but decided to engage. Pretty disappointing. Went to another steakhouse and found better results. read more

I've been here a few times now. A good friend recommended it as a good place to get a great steak at a reasonable price. He was spot on. Parking-can be difficult to find and I think there are times when it is free and times when you have to pay Staff- very good...one waitress was overly sweet and it felt too forced I've gotten the ribeye each time and it is cooked to order and delicious. All the sides we've had have been great and the soup too. Decent selection of beers. It is a strong 4, almost 5. No need to spend a couple hundred dollars on a nice date night meal. read more

Dined at this restaurant for my birthday with my family, whilst the appetizers were enjoyable the main meal was the problem along with the service. We weren't a massive group, only 7 people, but our waitress seemed very impatient and in-genuine when serving us. The food also arrived and we all agreed that the food flavor was bland and unseasoned. Because of the occasion I ordered the largest steak offered which was quite expensive, and the flavor was very lack luster and tasted like pure pepper. The environment of the restaurant is nice we sat upstairs. The service was good although it did take her like 25 minutes to change the channel and turn on the game. Ordered the 16oz ribeye and holy peppery. The steak was cooked fine but it was the pepper that made it bad. Stubricks for many years has been a second home to me. This was my go-to spot after a long day at work to grab dinner and drinks by myself at the bar! Food: Though this is a steakhouse, they have other tasty options starting with their appetizers. My favorite dishes here aside from steaks are: stub's wings, chicken tenders, pasta dish, shrimp cocktail (not filling but tasty), calamari. When it comes to steak, you can't go wrong and they cook according to your desired style, I enjoy medium rare and they've never missed! Drinks: Dennis, bar/store manager is great and what he does and has introduced me to many drinks. My personal favorite is the Stub's Old Fashioned. Their Penicillin is also wonderful! For something sweeter, their Daquiri is delicious as well, and they use fresh squeezed pineapple juice. Ambiance: Beautiful decor, not overly bright and not too dark either, two stories (pool tables and darts upstairs). This is one of the best restaurants in the area. It is truly a hidden gem. I've been coming here for years. My favorites are fillet mignon, NY steak and pork chop. The price includes two sides plus soup or salad. What an exceptional value! The 'best that I've ever had dishes' are their tater tots, bananas foster, and Cajun shrimp. I usually get the Cajun sauce on the side for dipping. The service is always friendly and attentive in a casual setting. It is surprisingly family friendly in fact.
