I give it two stars for good service and nice atmosphere. Zero for expertise with steak. I brought two customers so over $300.00 for the three of us. So when two of us ordered the featured Ribeye we both were expecting premium steaks expertly cooked. Both were under seasoned and comparing notes we both didn't think these were the best cuts. I may try them again but I don't think I'd go out of my way for their steaks. Again it's nice inside and our service was professional. Came here last Saturday with a the fam to celebrate my wife's birthday. Between the group we ordered the New York, Black and Blue Filet, Ribeye, Pork Chop, Shrimp Scampi, appetizers, and a couple of drinks. Everything was top notch but what put the meal over the top was our Sarah. She was super friendly and made some great recommendations for the folks that were making their first time visit. She was waiting on several tables but she was always around to check on us and to refill the drinks. Overall the food was a 5/5 and the service was 10/5. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I love coming here. I've been coming here since the early 2000's and have always had a great meal. I love the cocktails, too. It was national red wine day, and decided a red wine with a medium rare steak would be perfect. We arrived round 7:00pm and found some open seating at the bar. Dennis, our bartender, was really great. He was personable, explained a few drinks to us that we were not too familiar with, and made the night more enjoyable with good conversation. We had the 12oz baseball cut steak medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. We opted for the asparagus and baked potato. The broccoli cheese soup was delicious. Dennis made a great whiskey sour and I had a merlot. Overall a great night. We also had the jalapeno poppers, which weren't a personal favorite, but then again, who orders jalapeno poppers at a steak house? We do lol. read more

My wife and I went to Stubrik's Steakhouse for our "date night" recently. It was an hour wait but it was on a Saturday night and it was worth it! They have a waiting area upstairs with two TVs and two pool tables. Take advantage of that because it makes the time go by faster. Another tip is to go grab a drink or two at the bar while you wait for your table. My wife and I both got top sirloin steaks. I got a 12oz and my wife got a 10oz. Both were cooked perfectly with a nice exterior crust. One of the best parts of Stubrik's, aside from their extensive drink menu, is the fact that two sides and a soup or salad comes with your meal! Portions are decent. They are not as large as the sharable sides at other steakhouses where it is ordered separately but perfect for one person. Now for their drinks...they have an extensive wine menu where you can orderly the bottle or glass. Beer selection is not as long but still decent. They have both bottle and draft selections. As for liquor, they pretty much have everything you could possibly want. Parking in downtown Fullerton can be challenging so give yourself time to look for parking. Honestly, greatly disappointed by our dining experience. The prices were way overinflated. We spent nearly $70 for our meal (lemon chicken, chicken fettuccini Alfredo). Chicken was dry and came with awful and bland mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Fettuccini was done okay, but not worth the price we paid. Ambiance was okay, place seemed a little old and run down. Sticker shock when I saw the steaks starting at $40. Oof. I saw the response provided by Craig. I admit I didn't give precise figures, but I'm not making up the over inflated prices and disappointing food prep. With tip we paid over $65. At that price point you need to deliver on quality. Which was missing. That was the point. We were there on a Friday night and there place had lots of available seating. This restaurant is located in a busy college town so as you can imagine the surrounding area gets super crowded in the evening hours. I strongly recommend an early dinner. The beauty of this is place is that it has intimate booths as well as tables in the main dining area adjacent to the bar. Casual attire for both men and women seems to be the norm here. The upstairs area has pool tables & TV's and it works great for private parties. The food is delicious. The Chilean Sea Bass literally melts in your mouth! The 8 oz filet & seared Scallops are my go too! Even though the scallops are a little on the small side they are cooked to perfection. If you like Ole Fashions then you won't be disappointed. We finished off dinner with martinis instead of desert. My wife had an Espresso Martini it was delicious and dangerous! I decided on a dirty Martini. Great service with a super friendly staff. The only negative thing I must say is that unfortunately the sewer lines may need looking into. The area upstairs tends to get an occasional odor, which is much stronger inside of both the men's and ladies restrooms. The main dining area is not impacted by this. It hasn't stopped me or my family from coming back though! The place has a great ambiance very old school witch I liked. Started off with some drinks from the money and enjoyed them great cocktails. Service was also good server was there when we needed her. We had started off with some crab cakes and calamari and they tasted delicious. And for the out mains we got steaks. this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I was craving a steak and heard great thing about this place. There was no parking spots right behind this restaurant, but if you park in the structure, you should be fine (the structure is roughly 1 block away. ) Anyways, we didn't need to wait for a seat and was able to get seated right away. however, we decided to sit at the bar. its a full service bar, so you can order anything off the menu there. You need to enter in from the side of the parking lot in the back, and not the entrance that faces the main street for them to take you to your seat. I ended up getting calamari, cheese bread and a blue cheese steak. All of the items were delicious and really filling for two people. The cheesebread will go well with the soup. They also served marinara sauce with the calamari. The steak entree comes with a soup or salad and two sides. I ended up getting a potato bacon soup and for the two sides i ended up getting the potato au gratin and spinach. This place isn't a really fancy steak house or anything, but if you're craving steak and don't want to shell out +50 bucks for a cut of meat, i would recommend coming here. read more

Had a tried this place for the first time a few weeks back. Had an excellent experience with the food, drinks and service. We decided to have my granddaughter's birthday. We had a party of 15, made reservations-we arrived and they had our table ready, Lucy was our server. Gotta say she has got to be one of best i have had. With all the people in our party I can honestly say she did an amazing job. We ordered the wings, calamari and sqaw bread. All super delicious. Most had the rib eye ,I had the porterhouse, au-gratin potatoes and asparagus. Everything was delicious, the meat was not over seasoned at all and right on how I ordered it. Lovely dining experience, perfect for a warm or cool evening . They're was a short 20 min wait but you can grab a drink from the bar and enjoy it outside by the barrels. They're are heated lamps and awesome music playing . The menu has a lot of great options if you're looking for steak , pasta and seafood. I definitely recommend the stuffed mushrooms, they were perfectly seasoned and topped with melty cheese, the crab was very fresh and flavorful - the dip had a little kick to it ,squeeze a little lemon with it and it took it to the next level! The prime rib was a hearty portion- perfect for sharing . There was a nice crisp char on the outside of the steak while still having that buttery taste with minimal chewing . And the Scallop pasta - top shelf choice, such a beautiful symphony in the sauce , the scallops were tender but the star was the sauce with the linguine. They tasted like they came out from a plastic bag like instant potatoes where they just added water to them. The gravy had no flavor. The portion of the Seabass was very small and thin. I thought I was eating tilapia. It looks like a tilapia. They didn't taste like Seabass at all. I'm wondering if they confused the fish ??? Came here on a Thursday night for a work dinner with 9 people and were seated right away. The server was friendly and the service was quick! Everything we ordered was delicious. For appetizers we got mozzarella sticks, stuffed mushrooms, and calamari. Most of our group got the ribeye, myself included. You can choose either a soup or salad and 2 sides. I chose the soup, which is their housemade soup, au gratin potatoes, and mixed veggies. Every component was delicious and cooked perfectly. For dessert we got the banana's foster, cheesecake, and chocolate cake. They were all good but the banana's foster was amazing. I had never even heard of Stubrik's until an employee from here (Matt) was at Roscoe's and mentioned that they have great steaks. I had mentally bookmarked this place then itself. So, when the opportunity presented itself on a Tuesday, I decided to check this place out. I parked in the train station parking lot. Walked in at 4 PM right when they opened, sat at the bar and was blown away by the level of service Dennis offered me during my 2 Hour stay here. Cocktails, Dinner options and dessert were his recommendations. Crown Royale and Ginger Ale was delicious as expected. Chili infused Mezcal is something that the bartender (Joe?) does. Cocktails are his specialty itseems. I loved the strawberry and Mezcal flavors in the cocktail. Clase Azul, Agave, Lemon Cocktail that Dennis prepared at my request was also superb! Ribeye is their most popular meat. It was prepared medium like I requested. The cut was tender and tasted consistent. Sea Bass was amazing! Scallops were goood! Shrimp was the large sized variety and the sauce paired really great with it. Tiramisu was "oh my god!" good! Dennis brought out Cream, Liquer, Chocolate dippings with the Tiramisu for me to try. It was definitely unique trying the cake out with the liquers. I think that is how I will eat my Tiramisu going forward! You should definitely check out Stubrik's.
