It was a good amount of food. The second visit we ordered nachos and tamales. The nachos are quite yummy and very heavy. Two of us could not finish them. There were enough leftover toppings for another serving of nachos in our own chips the next day. We had to get the tamales to go bc we had no room left in our bellies. Fried tamales were unexpected! We tried one bite and I think they'll be pretty good. I did want the lighter experience of a regular tamale tho.

Additionally, the room is set up so that everyone turns to look at you when you come in. This would not be so bad if you were greeted as a welcome guest. However, that is NOT what it's like! In fact, the wait staff was aloof almost to the point of being rude. We felt like we had crashed someone else's party and we weren't welcome! The food itself was not worth the money. We had the Parmesan garlic wings, and some potato dish, and the tamales, The wings were ok - nothing to write home about tho - but the potatoes, they were dry and a bit burn flavoured, and definitely not worth the price! The tamales were edible, but the refried beans and Spanish rice were awful (himself NEVER leaves food and he left this). I got a margarita and it was horrible too (how do you get a margarita wrong!) We felt like we had been robbed by the time we left! As for the tables and chairs, the table was wobbly and the chairs were so miserable to sit in, it was clear they didn't want you to stay long. Lastly, it was cold in the restaurant in general. Not an experience we want to have again!!

This is a great spot located in the heart of Cle Elum! They have a food truck on site, which we unfortunately were not able to try because they had closed a bit early. Luckily, they had a number of sandwich and salad options. Our group enjoyed the Cuban, the chicken pesto, the Roslyn Rider, and a Caesar salad, which had some of the best croutons we've had in sometime! Another notable find was the snack mix... Not something that you would normally gush about, but this was filled with all of the best things the world has to offer Cheetos, bugles, Cheez-Its, and pretzels. If the Gardetto rye chips were in this, your head might just explode. For a relatively small outfit, the service here was very fast as they pumped out all of our food in about 10 minutes. There is ample indoor seating, and a lot of outdoor seating, which is shaded, and all of which is lovely! They've got a nice area with cornhole and some other games to play. They also have board games available inside. The only thing they are lacking is a big grassy area kids can go run around, but the asphalt worked just fine this spring day. We very much enjoyed our time here and will likely be back!

Not nice--aggressive flies that swarm you, your beer, and pizza. Pro tip is to order to go and use the pizza box to keep those nasty things off of your pie. Literal swarms. Well... we finally did it... and shame on us for waiting so long. Such a very cool place and the vibe was great. An open concept inside, with a couple spots outdoors as you enter inside. My wife and I decided to split our meals and we ended up ordering the Chicken Tinga Street Tacos, as well as, a platter of Chicken Nachos. Both very delicious and the cilantro is simply supreme on this! The radishes was a nice touch, with some sauce over corn tortillas with that Cotiga cheese. I would prefer flour, but I'll take it! We also had the Saison which was light, a bit dry, crisp and sort of lemony. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the neighboring tables. Had some good conversations with local folks. As always, enjoy and Happy Mule Elking!

The tacos were a 10 out of 10, the fire pit was awesome outside and I note several little improvements wherever I look. Under the old ownership, things seemed to be slipping toward the end, but all that is fixed now. I haven't been at this place for a couple of years and was passing through so I thought I'd give it a shot, and I'm super glad I did. It is once again on my list of cool places to stop in my travels. To the new owners --well done.

I upon entering, you are greeted with tables on the left side of the dining room, and a bar on the right side. It's probably seating for 40, and there are a large number of TVs for the size of the space. We stopped in on an evening when the Seahawks were playing, so it worked out very well! The bar is about two steps up from a dive, and had a nice array of nonalcoholic options in addition to the standard, small town, alcohol fare. The food was quite good, and pretty straightforward. It's pretty standard bar type food, with a couple of nice burger options, a couple salads, and a couple other fried options. We ended up with a number of different burgers, and a couple of salads. Everything was made when we ordered it, and was really good size for the price. Our waitress took really good care of us, and everybody left full and very happy with the decision to stop in! They're honestly was nothing we didn't enjoy it. The food, the service, the overall vibe and the price. We're all exactly what we were looking for. This is definitely a spot. We will be back to, and was a big win for the evening!

A brewery, not on my radar? Could it be possible?... Well, as I'm learning my way around the PNW, I'm finding all kinds of gems, that my sometimes messed up radar didn't pick up. Lol The kicker was having the best pastrami Sando ever, at the Red Bird Cafe, along with a great selection of beers, there was Roslyn Brewery! Of course, ya gotta know the choice I made to drink with my yummy sando? Roslyn brewery Brookside Pale Lager, cool and crisp with tasty Lager flavors.. pale Lager? You might ask? Didn't you mean Pale Ale? So I was thinking as well, but nope, they make a pale lager, very well to boot. So, of course by this time, I'm hoping on Yelp search for this Roslyn Brewery... What!! It just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Red Bird Cafe, so being the beer adventurer I am, I made the hop, skip, and a very excited jump over to Roslyn Brewing, another sweet little place in Roslyn, small inside, but a big area for outside sitting, but definitely at a balmy 30 degrees, it was close quarters at the bar. Great atmosphere, friendly service, just pouring beers.. although they have a great cider menu and wines.. it was definitely a beer drinking crowd. Next time I'll definitely try some of the tasty looking cider choices they offer. Of course, loving the red, I tried the Red Lager.. Yum! I wish they had it in cans.. I would have taken a bunch home. I also tried the Bullfrog IPA, delicious, as well.. a little darker than most IPAs I've had, but full flavor, not over hoppy. I also took a bottle of each of the Pale Lager and a Dark Lager, looking forward to trying them at home as well as return visits to Roslyn and Roslyn brewery. Well worth the beautiful drive over Snoqualmie Pass. Happy Yelping, God bless and a big Cheers!
