I will respond to all questions regarding the letter I received from US Bank in reference of Student Movers Inc. I have to admit it was a very stressful day for my wife my children and me, and I don't wish any body to go through with the experience I went through. To star: 8.45Am 2 persons arrived at my address in Winchester, Ca 92596 one staid in the truck and the other tells me that I have to sign about 10 places of his work sheet and also initial several spots. If I was to read every thing that he made me sign I would have taken me more than a day and most likely I had to ask a lawyer for advise. I ask why if it is so important all the signatures before moving, why didn't they send me the same day we contacted them 9/24/20 and made reservation all the paper work so this way I had a chance to review every thing. Instead on the 10/02/20 they came and without starting to load the truck I had to sign, imagine if I was to read everything they would have charged me who knows how much. So now the loading starts but because one guy was missing they spend time on the phone to find out were is the third guy, and of course time start to add up. The third guy shows up at 10.20Am and he claims he was not supposed to work that day, but the fact is that after spending time on the phone and smoking very little was done, I disassembled my office desk and my bed, that was all that needed to be disassembled the rest was and big item was a refrigerator and a tool box that they drooped and damaged it to the point that some drawers will not work. Also because of negligence the broke my office desk trying to insist that it was like that. When it came time to load the refrigerator the realized that in order to go trough the door they had to remove the door handles with an alen wrench This was close to 11Am and after going in and out of the truck they said that they had to go and buy one. They took the truck with some of our merchandise loaded and went. It took them and hour and 10 minutes to come back but with the wrong tool, and again after smoking and puffing the driver of the truck realized he had some tools under the seat, and he found the alen wrench he was looking for.Needles to say that the clock kept on going. The finished loading and they left to the new location, we even asked them if the new the new address and the response was that they have a GPS OK, the distance is 18 miles more or less, but it took them more than an hour to arrive, claiming the got lost. I have in all my years never seen people so unprofessional the driver asked for the use of the bathroom and it took him more that 10 minutes to come out of the bathroom full of smoke, and about half hour again without asking he made use of the bathroom. Again the clock was running and of course adding to my bill. The reality is that I do not like to be taken we tried to call the owner of the company several times to find out what was going on with his men, so unprofessional and careless, we left several messages because nobody would answer the phone but fortunately we have every time we called recorded, also we have pictures of the damage items. And finally I agree to pay only for 4 hours including truck expenses and gasoline in the amount of $1000.00. Please keep me posted if additional information is needed. read more

I am reposting this since my original post was removed DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!! This is long but not even the entire story!!! I did not have a choice on who moved me since my apartment leasing office arranged for my move from one unit to another. I have moved over 10 times in my adult life and this is by far the worst move ever and it should have been my easiest and quickest. My move was scheduled for 8 am and the first 2 guys showed up after 10am...with NO TOOLS, NO DOLLIES, NO TRUCK, NO FURNITURE PADS OR SHRINK WRAP. The first two guys one was his first day with the company so he had no contact numbers or any information and the 2nd guy he brought was his brother to help him!!! So moving experience was not obviously something this company cared about. We started moving boxes on dollies while we waited to see if the company was going to send anyone else with proper equipment. The owner, Sean showed up at 11:30 but still did not bring any equipment either. He apologized for the delay saying usually they have a window to start between 8-9 and my response was then they were still late by 1 1/2 hours and he was over 2 1/2 hours late and we still could not move anything but boxes. He then took one guy with him and they went to home depot to buy tools, pads and wrap. What moving company does not come prepared? Not sure why he needed to take someone with him to go to Home Depot anyway! When they returned at 12:30 two more guys finally showed up with a truck. So I figured at this point they would knock out the move. They only needed to move my marble dining table, 6 chairs, sectional couch, 3 beds to be disassembled, TV, 4 small side tables, 4 piece small patio set and small entry way table. Needless to say even with all this help and I had spent hours moving boxes myself they still could not get the job done. At 4:30 pm after 21 man hours not including my time they left the job. Sean blatantly lied to the leasing office and told them I just wanted them out of my apartment and that I said I would finish the job! They had left all 3 beds disassembled in the bedrooms and left my TV, bed parts, and a standing mirror in my old unit. Why in the world would I want them to leave it all!!! I put my 3 beds together so I had a place to sleep!! The leasing office confirmed in an email with his company that it was a full 3 bedroom move with furniture but Shawn insists that is was just supposed to be a 2 men moving boxes. Either way, Shawn continues to take no responsibility how this move went and attacks my character which he does with every bad review he gets. read more

I would first of like to say how extremely AMAZING Tyler and Daniel at Student Movers are! They worked with my busy schedule to fit me in for a move with in 12HRS! Moving from being over seas was overwhelming but these guys are SAINTS saved my life. Michelle was a huge help in coordinating her crew to come down on such a short notice I COULD NOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR YOUR SERVICES. The team showed up 15 MINS PRIOR ready to get me moved. They were extremely respectful and didn't expect me to lift a finger! I have used a private company to move and by FAR these guys blew them out of the water!! If you are looking for a QUICK and EASY move these guys are it. They are gentlemen of PRIOR SERVICE and deserve all the business they can get or more. We used Student Movers to move from our long time home in the SF Bay Area, to the central coast. Student Movers used two trucks, and a team of four movers. They had to load items from both our home and then from our storage unit and did an excellent job packing and organizing everything. We moved to Pismo Beach the next day but due to some unforeseen issues needed to unload items in two different locations. They did a great job of adjusting to the changes and unpacking everything into the proper location. The crew was great to work with and were professional every step of the way. Our items arrived in same condition they were in at the start of the move. I will definitely use Student Movers for any future moves. read more

My cousins, who drove our rental truck down, got here after the storage facility closed and had an early morning flight back home. So I had to find movers to offload the truck. I wanted people with insurance so I called around to different companies to get prices and availability. Other companies only do whole moves or did not have availability on such short notice. I finally found Student Movers. Michelle was so helpful. She knew how many movers it would take and how long. She sent 3 guys and they finished before the storage facility closed. They were efficient, careful and nothing was dropped or broken. I am very happy. I will definitely be using them again in the future. read more

Wow, I had a mover scheduled that I have found on CL to move me into storage on 4-17-16 needless to say he never showed & called me several times to try & re-schedule. I finally found student movers late on 4-17-16, they told me they would be at my place @ 9:00am on 4-18-16. Greg & his partner Andre showed up @ about 8:50 that morning & has me in my storage & completed the job in about 1 1/2 hrs. They were very professional & made sure all my valuables were covered & protected. When my escrow closes in a month I will for sure have them move me into my new place. I moved my furniture into a storage unit in April of this year and used Student Movers. Steve P, lead mover was efficient and has sharp analytical skills to access how to move items in the best safe manner. I again used Student Movers on October 3rd and Steve and Ryan were moving my items out of storage into my Condo in Huntington Beach. They were very professional and courteous. The process from start to finish was really great. The manager Shawn came to our home for an assessment so that we'd get a proper quote which was totally reasonable. On the moving day the movers were right on time. They were very friendly and professional and once they got to work they were very fast and efficient. They were respectful of our property and did everything they could to avoid scratching and damaging our walls. They're a bit more expensive than some other movers, but it's worth it for the quality of their service. read more

All the movers I've had in the past have ranged from terse and inarticulate to straight up sketchy and rude - while also being careless with the move. Student Movers were fantastic. In addition, the manager was on site on moving day to make sure everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for movers. Great job!!! these movers are worth it. If you get a lower quote elsewhere, keep in mind, you get what you pay for. I tried moving with a different company that offered half the amount Student Movers quoted me at, and they completely ghosted me on the day of the move. Student Movers is worth your time and money.
