Charlee and Doug showed up early to set up and they knew exactly what they were doing. Quickly wrapping and protecting all my furniture and moving it down a staircase into their truck. They had all the right supplies and also lugged all my stuff up another staircase at my new place. Overall my 2-bedroom move took a little over 5 hours. Searching for the best movers in SoCAL? Look no further. Charlie and Cameron are amazing and efficient at what they do. They are also super hilarious and always cracking up jokes. I was recommend Big Time Movers by my brother who used them for his move as well. In terms of moving, literally each one of them of them is strong and efficient enough to carry a whole king bed, desk, or any type of furniture themselves. Cameron also created plastic handles on a mattress cover, which I've never seen anyone do before - it was literally a magical trick. They are very well prepared and have every tool/resource to use for the move. They shrinkwrap/tape up everything to make sure it's well protected for you, so no need to do that yourself. They even brought 3 pre-made huge cardboard boxes for us to use incase we wanted to pack more thing & have them take it for us. 100/10 for customer service. I originally agreed to a 3 hour move for my apartment, but it ended up being 6 hours since my apartment was ontop of a shopping plaza, and had a long walk to the street/moving truck, which makes sense, so this is something that everyone should keep in mind when making appointments with movers in general. Although I paid for 6 hours vs. the original 3 hours, I can say that these guys are worth every penny because of how hard-working, efficient, and hilarious they are. Moving is always a hassle, and it's never an easy task to fulfill. There are so many variables that make this difficult, but Charlie and Cameron make moving look like an art form! We had quite a few items to move for me and my roommates three bedroom apartment, but these guys were able to accommodate our requests and much more! They handled our items with ease, and with such creativity and efficiency. They left us a couple of boxes they brought with them to put all of our miscellaneous items, which I thought was very considerate. Afterwards, we checked out our items to make sure there was no damage, and everything that they packed came delivered just as it was. They even went out of their way to fix a bench that we had trouble stabilizing. Having your items in better condition after the move as opposed to before has to be some sort of sorcery! The best part of it all, was their overall presence and positivity throughout the time they were helping us. It truly felt like it was your older brothers helping you out, and it was a fun and entertaining experience having them with us. They were cracking jokes, and immediately left a positive impression on me while they were working tireless to fulfill the task at hand. I unfortunately had to leave my roommates during the move due to work, but I almost had a case of FOMO because their presence just made my day so much better! I had received several bids for moving the content of two very full 16' x 8' PODS into two storage space units. I was quoted from 2 hours with 2 men, to 6 hours with 4 men. Some bids were very unclear about the services they would provide, so I had written down exactly what I needed and had asked them to give me their rates: time and number of men. Many simply kept sending generic information that did not answer my questions. And what amazed me the most was the lack of follow-up. It was almost as if moving companies were only concerned about sending a quote out, but had no interest in finding how competitive their quotes were and what they should do to earn the business. Only two companies did exactly what I was expecting: the company who was trying to convince me that 4 men were needed for 6 hours, and Charlie from Big Time Movers. I decided to choose this moving company with a referral from a friend, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. And this was my 3rd move in 3,5 years! Whenever I tried to carry something myself, they would kindly ask if I needed any assistance, which made the moving process much smoother and less stressful for me. My move was extremely simple, no truck loading and driving...just a few dollies needed. I imagine that they would be great on a big move. They were so quick that it only took them 45 minutes. I do wish they would have cut us a bit of a break considering it barely took them anytime to move our stuff but I did agree to a 3 hour minimum so that was on me. They moved efficiently and safely throughout to load and unload. They wrapped all of our furniture and disassembled and reassembled it when we arrived.
