Okay so Lindsay is amazing. I went in for a spray tan, i saw the groupon. I told her i didn't want to be orange at all because i'm so fair skinned and she assured me i wouldn't be ( this was my first spray tan ever ). She was quick and made me so comfortable. Super easy to talk to & down to earth. I also let her know i was going to get sugared 2 days after the spray tan and she told me that wasn't a good idea and told me she could give me a brazilian right before I did the spray tan (which i've never done either) i've only been sugared. & this brazilian was like the most painless & quickest thing ever, WAY better than sugaring. I came across this Salon on Groupon and I'm ecstatic that I did! My former wax professional moved to Morocco with her new family and I was having a hard time finding a replacement. Enter Lindsay Florek! She was friendly, quick and painless. But the real test came weeks after my bikini wax. Two weeks later and I'm relatively hair free! This means that Lindsay did an excelled job of removing the hair root. I think she has many years experience and it shows. Another plus is that when I saw the Groupon I called to make sure I could get an appt. with Lindsay during my time off. Best spray tan ever!!! Lindsay is seriously amazing!! Not only is she professional and super sweet, she strives to really understand your tan needs and customizes each tan for each occasion. I have super vampire white skin and most spray tans either turn me orange or don't really work. This tan not only is super natural looking, it dries so fast and doesn't smell!!! I have been coming to Jessica at Studio 486 to have my hair done for over 7 years. She's been my hair stylist, therapist and friend. She always leaves me feeling beautiful and amazing! She's without a doubt the best hair dresser I've ever had! Lindsay has been waxing me for 5 years and is absolutely an artist. She's waxed me through two pregnancies and is always so positive and encouraging. Before I met her I could not find a good and dependable person to do my Brazilian wax and now I would never see anyone else!! I'm thankful to call her my friend as well. When Jessica is away I've also had the pleasure of having Jen do my hair. She is so fun and talented. She stays up on the latest hair cuts and color techniques and can do the most amazing things with your hair. She is amazing! She's also a makeup artist and can create the most epic hair and makeup looks for a special day for you. I myself am a mother of two and in the beginning when my daughter was a newborn I found the 'no kids in the salon' rule annoying, especially when I had to breastfeed my newborn in my car and switch her with my husband. However, as a lawyer I absolutely understand the huge liability of having young children in a salon. And now as a busy mother of two I absolutely adore my time in a nice clean, quiet kid free area with my glass of champagne and no interruptions from the kids. I had a great experience this past week at studio 486. My appointment was with Lindsay for a Brazilian wax. Fastest wax job I've ever had, also pretty painless. I LOVE how she gets it all the first time. No re waxing. Very clean studio, no double dipping. The waxing room is very private. I really appreciate her advice on products and the best way to exfoliate. She's really nice and funny, and makes you feel like you've known her for years. The salon is clean with a chic style. The price is in line with the surrounding area. I bought a Groupon for blowouts with Chelsea at Studio 486 and I'm so glad I did! She is so sweet and personable, and made me feel comfortable right away. 5 stars for Lindsey!!! First off let me say I'm very picky and particular when it comes to spa services and she did not disappoint. She was very professional but super nice as well. I'm a religious waxer and it was perfect!! No pain and very fast!! I usually go to the pretty kitty but this was just as good if not better. I like Lindsey because she is a small business owner, down to earth, and a great waxer. The salon itself is very nice as well, I did get a little lost but found it. Lindsey is super nice and like mentioned on other reviews super easy to talk to. She informed me while waxing ways to clear up my in grown hairs and scarring. I wasn't able to get the products today but definitely have put it in the budget for next time. I bought the group on for 2 Brazilians, she uses cloth strips instead of the usual I want to say paper isn material. This was my first time experiencing the cloth and I have been getting Brazilians waxes for at least 4 years now. She also recommended ways to extend the time between my waxes which is very considerate. And she also gives you oil on cloth at the end to clean up any left over wax I believe this should be standard but I have been to many places that do not clean up the wax afterwards so its helpful. Definitely excited to go back and get the products. I will write another review for the second visit and if the products worked after buying them! So I went back for my second groupon Brazilian lindsay was super easy going and suggested I wait a bit longer next time also was able to get a an eyebrow wax and she explained how the hairs lay and the direction and all that good stuff This is definitely my spot for waxing! read more

I have been going to see Brandy for over 9 years now. I have never had to wait, but if I did the waiting area is bright and comfortable, and there is always someone there to offer something to drink. In 9 years I have not had a single complaint for Brandy. I love that she is honest about what she thinks will and will not work for me, she knows my hair better than anyone. I have had my color done, cuts, highlights, brazilian blow outs, extensions and have always been thrilled with the results. She has always gone out of her way to accomodate my crazy schedule, which being a single working mom can be hard to do at times. I recommend her to everyone I know. Studio 486 is adorable and in a perfect location in Newport Beach. It has great lighting, great product selection, friendly staff, very clean, good parking, easily accessible. I am in the salon about every 4 weeks and can honestly not come up with a negative thing to say. If someone is in need of a new salon I highly recommend going to Studio 486. I think you should visit Brandy but in my opinion you really can't go wrong with anyone in there!!!! read more
