I'm obsessed! My friend brought me in to do a free trial. I normally don't like group workouts as I end up feeling self conscious the whole time. I was also nervous just jumping into something I had never done before. There was no reason to worry!! Every woman that works there is so kind and wants to help you feel comfortable and get the most out of your workout. It's a fast moving hour and you never get bored! I looove Studio Barre! You get in a great workout while having fun. The instructors are all super nice and very helpful when they see you struggling or doing something incorrectly. They have classes all throughout the day so it's easy to find one that accommodates your schedule. They also run a lot of specials and promotions so it's not too expensive. I've taken classes from a few of the instructors and they all put their own spin on it so it is never boring and redundant. The workouts are hard but you can go at your own pace and modify the moves to work with your body. Everyone who works there is super nice and welcoming. I wanted to get my girlfriend some barre clothing for her birthday. I drove to Studio Barre and they were closed even though it was during their hours of operation I called and left voice mails, but none were returned. I drove out again, and of course closed I finally drove out a THIRD time when I knew they were holding a class Shocker: there was a notice posted saying class was canceled and it was locked and dark yet again. There is more to running a business than showing up a couple minutes before a class (or just canceling class because you have a fun Halloween party to get dressed for). Learn responsibility. Care for your customers. Don't make up bullshit hours when you know you won't be there. Return phone calls. I would be leery of signing up for any membership longer than 30 days. Seems like a fun fad, but the industry isn't drawing the best and brightest. The Westlake barre studio already went belly up (I tried there too). Studio Barre seems next in line. read more

Fantastic core workout! As a runner cross-training is critical for strength and injury prevention. The classes target all the key muscles to build a phenomenal core. My body is loving it! And as an awesome bonus, all the instructors run a high-energy supportive class. I love that the entire hour is filled with "class" time. The instructors adjust for all levels on an individual basis without missing a beat or taking away from class time. The barre is super chic and clean. I always wanted to try a barre class, but never had anywhere close to where I lived that was also affordable. Studio Barre opened up close by and offered their first class FREE! After my first class, my seat was sore. I signed up for 7 more classes and each class continues to help me improve but also challenge me. It is never boring! The barre tenders are all lovely, and they remembered my name after the first class. I have brought both of my sisters, and one of them has signed up as a monthly member. The owner, Cindy, and her front desk staff are warm and welcoming upon entering the facility. They always make sure that I have everything I need to attend class. The first time I came to the studio, Shannon showed me around and I absolutely loved the bright, warm atmosphere with the detailed decor. I always have trouble leaving after I finished class because of the inviting ambience. The little shop in the studio is to die for! I wish that I could buy everything there! I have purchased a bandana and two pairs of the tall socks! I absolutely am in love with them! They also create fun events like Men and Margaritas Fridays for the 5:30pm class. My goal is to get my boyfriend to come with the bribe of a margarita afterwards because even men can join in on the fun of barre classes! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Studio Barre!!! I just moved to the area about a year ago and was sad to see that there weren't many barre options at the time. Barre is my workout of choice, and has been the only thing that keeps me motivated to keep going. After just over 2 weeks of Studio Barre my body has shrunk significantly (which also comes with some hard work, sweat and dedication :) ). ALL of the instructors are incredibly sweet, friendly, and welcoming as well as giving you an efficient and challenging workout. I really enjoy Studio Barre, as it brings together elements of strength, yoga, ballet, cardio, and stretching. The choreography is not too complex, but it's varied enough that you feel challenged each session, and that the more you attend, the more your form builds and improves. I'm not a dancer, and could never come remotely close to doing the splits, and now I'm pretty close. I like the fact that I get in a solid workout, but am not drenched in sweat when I leave the class. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. The staff and teachers are all incredible about remembering my name, even though I only attend about once/week. The teachers are helpful in correcting form. They offer FREE childcare several times/week (though it fills up fast), and the childcare provided is very high quality. Monthly packages are $$$$, but they frequently run specials where you can buy a pack of classes, as cheap as about $10-$11/class, which makes it more affordable. The music in class can get a bit sexy/club vibe, but not overly so. There are all ages of women. I brought my 60-something mom, and she enjoyed the workout and wants to come back. Check it out! Going to barre is literally my favorite part of my day. It's so much fun and an amazing workout. All the instructors are so friendly and encouraging. The front desk is great too! Everybody always gives you a warm welcome right when you walk in. I didn't play any sports growing up and have never been one to go to the gym but I feel like I finally found a workout I can stick with. It is so tough and never gets easier but it's so cool to see your body change in a short amount of time. I've been going several times a week since February and I feel like my stamina has gone up and I actually have (little) muscles now! I love this place! It has a great ambiance and the staff is very friendly. All the staff members remembered my name after only one visit and have been very attentive to my needs and questions. They even sent me an adorable thank you card for coming to class! The atmosphere is very female friendly. The decor is cute and chic plus there are complimentary hair ties and tampons in the bathroom. The studio and the instructors just scream "girl power!" As for the classes, it's a great workout. It's not really a cardio intensive class, but you definitely work up a sweat. The class is more like a Pilates class where you target specific muscle groups and do small movements with a lot of repetition. The class moves quickly and you get to work on every aspect of your body. I've left every class with my muscles tired and drained and feeling like I got my money's worth. The class is good for all levels and the instructors provide modifications (both easier and harder) where you need them. So overall, I would highly recommend checking this place out. I have been taking barre classes in Nevada at Barre 3 for 2 years and love it. But Since, I have been back to Cali,I have tried several Pure Barre Classes and was not impressed. The Pure Barre has carpet and is mostly done on the floor. Who wants to workout on nasty carpet. Studio Barre is by far the best! The teachers routines are amazing and they will literally kick your butt. The studio is very modern and large with nice bamboo flooring. You will have lots of room to spread out! I also love the energy in the classes and the music, rocks... . I also enjoy how every teacher has a different routine, so you will never get bored. If your like me, I get bored doing the same thing and need variety to keep me motivated. Once, I started taking barre, I will never go back to the gym. Not only, will you have a killer body, but you will end up with a killer butt and if your lucky, it will be lifted and firm like The Kardashians . This place is amazing! I am so glad Newbury Park has a Studio Barre now so I can get my Barre on nearby. But outside of the convenience, this place is just nice to go to. Its a beautiful studio that always seems clean and well kept. The room you work out in isn't the "store-front" so you don't have to worry about passerbys looking at you while you are working out. And of course, all the instructors and the front desk staff are so friendly and nice. But I can't review the place without reviewing the workout. I have done barre classes all over the place. I can't believe I look forward to going to get my butt kicked, but I do when I go to Studio Barre! As soon as you enter, the staff warmly greets you by name so you feel like a person and not a PIN number. The studio is very clean and modern and I love that they think of the little things, like towels, water, and hair ties. They also run promotions and fun events all the time. The teachers are very knowledgable and enthusiastic, and they also make each person feel welcome. The workouts change every few months, so your body doesn't get too used to the routine and I'm finding that there are daily variations as well. This is not an easy workout! I think that whatever your fitness or health level, you can make accommodations and get a challenging workout. I've had plantar fasciitis and find that low-impact exercise like this works wonders. I do other kinds of exercise, but I think that this class is making the most significant improvement to my overall strength. I feel sore, but great afterwards! read more

Studio Barre is amazing!! Easy to find & right off the 101 freeway, is a little place tucked ;) away where you can get a fantastic full body workout! I was not in the best shape when I first started, having no dance background, and a huge dislike of cardio exercises. But I love this workout. Yes, they are challenging at first, but the support from your fellow barre babes and the amazing instructors help you build confidence in the movements. They will even come around and show you how to work the muscles they want you to target. Honestly, I have never sweat from a workout more in my life!! They have coffee and tea in the front room along with gorgeous workout clothes and some great swag. It is obvious that they take serious pride in how clean the Barre is... Now... to the real good stuff... the work out. My first class I took was with Addie. She is FULL of energy and spunk. She will have you shaking in your socks... literally. This is a full body workout from your head to your toes and nothing is skipped in-between. It's fast paced with music and she counts for you which helps me! No matter what your goal is for getting healthy, Studio Barre will help with it! The class is a one hour workout and you will walk out sweaty! You don't have to be in killer shape to start their classes... but oh how fast your body will change with these classes! They encourage you and support you through the whole class.
