The woman who did my eyebrows asked me about the shape and at the end put a soothing cooling gel on them to reduce redness- a very nice touch! I came to Austin for a family event and didn't have time for a pedi before I came into town. They were able to squeeze me in before closing and gave me one of the best pedicures ever. They were nice, had lots of colors and options to choose from for the pedicure, which I loved, and the price was great for the service I got. Horrible experience. The pampering was good but it's like they didn't go to school to do nails. My nails look horrible and are chipped. Even my toes are chipped and don't like good at all. I've gotten shellac fills before and they always last up to five weeks. This one didn't last a day. Granted I should have said something to the manager but the nail tech knew it was a bad job. We had a really bad experience with these guys, we had called and booked the appointment for 6pm, after 40 min they ask us to sit on the pedicure chair, nobody comes and attend us, the water had become cold, I told the guy there what is this? He says we are busy! So if u are busy why take appointments? Later on a lady comes and does my deluxe pedicure in 20 min! I have been sitting and watching the clock, it took her just 20 min, she did everything so quick that the nails had bumps on it, I asked her to correct she comes with an anger face telling me I have an appointment of another lady ? Really? We booked appointment too????? No customer service, they just want more clients so that they just get more money! All they care is money, we paid around $130 for getting this service! There brushes are stuck on ur nail, but they don't care! So anyone who wants to go please go on ur risk! read more

OMG.... This place is a hidden gem! I had a royal pedicure with Jimmy and he gave me the best happy ending. I also got dipping powder nails with the beautiful Mrs. Nancy, she does the best nails there in my opinion. Super friendly people and atmosphere. They have a huge massive selection of colors to choose from and gorgeous designs. I'm definitely coming back and I'm going to try there SN9 pedicure. While the girl who did my friend's nails was very friendly and did a wonderful job on her, my experience was not pleasant. I went in for a simple gel manicure and sadly my nail technician really seemed like he did not know what he was doing. He didn't even know he had to cure the polish until the other technician pointed it out. He painted over my cuticles, left the nail color blotchy and uneven and missed all of the edges when applying the top coat. What was more disappointing is that the other technicians at the salon were aware of his poor job during and after he did the nails, one even came to me when I was paying to clean my nails from the grease of the hand lotion. Regardless of them being aware of the terrible job done by their coworker, I was still charged $30. I do not think I'll be going back to a nail salon that let's such a terrible job represent them. At least one of the other technicians should have stepped up and offered to do a better job, we were their only clients at the moment so there is no excuse for making me feel so ripped off. read more

Went in to get a basic manicure. Waited about 10 minutes and was seated. The charge was supposed to be $15 but somehow they charged me $20, even though that price isn't listed on the menu. Unsure what the extra $5 was for. Ended up going across the street to target to get nail polish and redo myself. read more

What a great find! The manager and the staff were all very friendly. The pedicure tubs had disposable liners which is a huge plus! My friend and I were able to relax, have a glass of wine and enjoy the pampering. There was no overwhelming chemical smell, the salon is bright and pretty, and the prices are very reasonable. The best mani-pedi I've found in Austin! Called this morning & got an appointment today. Nancy did a gel manicure & Lisa did a deluxe pedicure! The leg & foot massage alone were worth the price - which by the way is quite reasonable. Both were pleasant, personable, and professional! The salon is clean. They use liners in the pedicure baths. The equipment is up-to-date. Decor is tasteful and relaxing (no mauve paint!). Will definitely be back. read more

Came here after a referral from my hairstylist (just moved all the way from CT), and feel like I hit the jackpot. Customer service was top notch, friendly and personable staff. My pedicure was done by Maithai, she was amazing! Prices were reasonable for quality service. Both my manicure and pedicure looked the best I've ever had. Seriously! The ladies took their time, made sure I was comfortable, and were very welcoming. The location itself is very clean, and the massage chairs very comfortable. Great variety of services. No. 9 Studio was formerly Quality Nails, but Lauren is still at the location, which is great since she does really careful work and is always friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. Former owners were not inclined to speak English with clients, which made getting appointments and making requests difficult. The business is now much more efficient under the new management, and other operators are probably good too, but I still choose Lauren!. read more

I came here based off of the great reviews, but ended up pretty disappointed with the manicure. The pedicure was wonderful, but the quality of the SNS dip and manicure will make it so I don't come back here. They rushed through my SNS dip having one person working on mine and someone else's at the same time. The other customer was clearly her "regular" and she was just looking to hurry through with mine. She quickly filed my nails, did the dip, and then finished up within 30 minutes while switching between me and the other customer. I was left disappointed with how thick my nails ended up, since she spent almost no time filing down the dip she put on. I've never had someone before just apply the dip and then seal it off. I understand it was busy, but I would have waited for someone who was looking to take care of me as a customer too instead of rushing through to help someone else she viewed as more important. I feel like I wasted $40, since I'll end up having to go somewhere else this week to have them fixed. read more

I've been getting my nails done here since it opened and I'm totally in love! The staff is SO kind and accommodating. I've had to see other technicians in a pinch and have always loved the results, but I regularly see Lauren. This lady KNOWS what's up. I used to manage a high end nail salon years back, here in town and so I've become quite the snob when it comes to sanitation and quality- which up until recently, meant constant disappointment. Finally a place where I don't need to point out mistake after mistake, worry about the questionable implements, or come back for regular fixes and repairs. And the prices are insanely reasonable. I'm still offered free services on a regular basis elsewhere, but prefer to see my Lauren. This is where you go to get it done RIGHT. Lauren is who you see when you're ready to take serious care of your nails. Quit cheating yourself and check them out!! read more
