I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Nancy Nguyen about 3 - 4 years ago after a long search. I wanted a dentist I could stay with long term, since I really dislike switching doctors or dentists once I've built my trust. and like most people, building that trust takes a lot of time and effort for me. My first visit with Dr. Nguyen was great, but then she suddenly became unavailable. Since then, every time I've tried to schedule with her, I've been told she is still on maternity leave (same excuse for the past 4 years). The frustrating part is that when the office calls to confirm your appointment, they don't inform you upfront that you will not see Dr Nguyen (unless you specifically ask her name) and you end up being surprised with a random doctor instead. This has happened to me multiple times. I never wrote a review until now because I thought maybe it was just me. But after seeing other reviews describing the same/similar issue, I felt I should share my experience. If you search her name on Zocdoc, you'll see plenty of open time slots, but that's not true, and it feels very ,misleading and dishonest practice , since it's just a tactic to get you into the office. My suggestion is just be aware of this - if you want to see Dr. Nguyen specifically, make sure you confirm directly with the office before your appointment. read more

Don't go here. It's false advertising!! I booked through Zoc Doc with Nancy Nguyen and when I got there she was no where to be found and they said she's the owner and that she's not available. They also have different doctors for extractions and you will have to go elsewhere if you need a tooth extracted so this is not a full service dentist. They also had my coverage details incorrectly and when I complained about Dr. Nguyen not being there she magically became available and I was asked to stay an extra 15 mins to meet with her. This was 75 mins from my appointment time and after I was already seen by another doctor. I had to run so refused to stay and meet with a doctor who didn't care to inform me that she was not "available" when I initially booked my appt. Save your time and find another dentist! read more

I haven't had a bad experience here yet. Ive been coming here for a few years and recently started going for his new location. A woman in the previous one I went to used to sing to me haha so thoughtful. The art and design at this new location is super cool. I love how the majority of staff is female. Everyone has been so kind and easy to talk to. The modern art really makes me feel comfortable. I recently came in for a cleaning and x ray. They were able to fill a cavity same day. The dentist, Dr Bhatt, did not know the patient's right from left... She giggled when I corrected her and then made the same mistake, again.. When she finished, she sent Denise, from billing, into the examining room to discuss prices. Denise told me each filling would cost $300. She then said for six cavities the total would be $1500. I'm still confused, because I thought 6 x 300 equaled 1800. But that's okay. Denise then said she'd call me in two hours, after getting quotes from my insurance company. That was August 26. Today is Sept 12. addendum: I am followed by another dentist who said I didn't have cavities and what (Dr Bhatt) saw was fillings. I gave one star for the gorgeous and clean looking office. Of course my husband's crown just had to have issues during our trip to NYC. We asked concierge for the best dental practice in town and he recommended Studio Smiles NYC which is known for seeing celebrities and famous leaders. He told us international leaders flew in to have their dental work done at the clinic! We were sold. My husband is not tolerant of pain. He hates pain and is afraid of even going to the dermatologist so needless to say, he was a nervous about the dental visit. The office is gorgeous and so high tech! We live in a nice area ourselves but none of the offices were as nice as this one. It was so clean and the staff was so understanding and nice. Hubby was very happy with the work done and joked that he would be willing to fly across the states to have his dental work done here. I only leave negative reviews if I feel an ethical obligation. I saw a dentist here for cleaning and exam. She was nice but she recommended a few different things that seemed off to me so I got a second opinion. It turns out she was either wrong or lying, and would have done invasive, permanent procedures in my mouth for no real reason. There was also one legitimate concern that she completely missed. Given another reviewer just mentioned a similar experience, I would steer clear of this practice. read more

The overall experience was fine. But the staff did NOT tell me that they were actually out of network for my insurance and proceeded to billing me $800 for a simple checkup and dental cleaning. There was zero clarity about how much my procedures cost and how they were going to charge me. And clearly they overcharged significantly. This is just shady practice on their part. As a result, I'm not able to actually get all the other treatments I need elsewhere because they charged my insurance so much. I had started seeing Dr. Sara at this office back in January for regular check ups. I Recently became pregnant and developed a wisdom tooth infection. Upon arriving to the office I discovered my dental benefit maximum for the year had already been met so I had no coverage. I left feeling distraught and considering going to the ER. While on my way home the office called me back to ask me to return. They offered to examine me free of charge to make sure I was okay considering I was pregnant and mouth infections can be very dangerous. Dr. Sara was wonderful. She fully examined me, gave me a quick clean, and even took an x-ray all without charging me. She even called in a prescription for antibiotics and sent me home with a medicated rinse. I felt so taken care of during a very vulnerable time. This office definitely went above and beyond and I will be forever grateful. read more

The owner & head whatever treats everyone like crap here from the patients to their own staff. One of the managers I forgot her name I think it started with a D she's the worst of them both. I know I'm not the only one who has witnessed it and complained I see a couple more reviews stating the same it's a shame. Negative stars haven't went back since one of my favorite doctors left. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this woman. She is an absolutely fantastic dentist with an amazing staff. I was so scared of the dentist that I didn't go for many years and I am so very glad that I found Dr. Nguyen. She explained every single thing that was happening, she is extremely professional but you also feel completely at ease like you've known her for years, which is truly a rare gift. She also makes sure you are completely satisfied before you leave. I've had 4 appointments so far and not once did I have to wait. I am confused about Ak's review. You have to understand that I have not changed dentists since I was a kid so I felt like I cheated on my old dentIst when I went to see her. However, I just moved so it didn't make sense for me to drive far! She did my exam and went over stuff in words that I actually understood instead of some doctor jargon. And she was not only super thorough with my cleaning but also extremely gentle. I had a lot of embarrassing dark stains from the vast amounts of coffee that I drank and she removed them ALL. She even took time to explain to me the pros and cons of everything including polishing!! Did you even listen to her ak? It's not for everyone. Look it up. Also, contrary to what you said, there is also a pano machine right in the front and everything looks updated and new. Not once did she try to push anything on me and was even accommodating to my financial situation. I have much more confidence in my smile because I actually LOVE going to the dentist now. Truth is, nobody likes that, so if you say you do... you're a liar and I don't respect that. But let's get down to the topic at hand. This woman is the Michelangelo of dentistry. If you know anything about professional dentistry, than you know this....Dr. Nancy Nguyen is the third most famous of all time, humbly following William Robert Rollins and Doc Holliday. Personally, I think she is going to be moving into second place very shortly but that is up to the writers at the ADA. Besides all of her professional accolades, I truly believe that it is the little things that separate her from her dental counterparts. For Instance, the parting gift that you typically receive from your friendly neighborhood dentist is a nice way of saying "Thank you for letting me charge your insurance thousands of dollars for repeatedly shanking you in the gums and then covering it up with Bubblegum flavored fluoride". However, the goody-bag that Dr. Nguyen provides offers a full sized Floss container along with a stiff but not too stiff tooth brush. The point of this story is simple. it is your mouth and you can chose who you let into it. But if you are really serious about your dental hygiene, then there is no doubt you should give Dr. Nguyen a chance in there. The experience is soothing and rather relaxing for the amount of shrapnel that you have in your grill. I would rate my experience 6 stars if given the option. Every time she is nice and gives me good advice for tooth. Her staff are all kind and nice too. I had problem with gum. She put filling on my tooth and felt much better. She gave me free sample. Dr. Nguyen is an amazing dentist! I went to her because a severe toothache was torturing me. A different dentist had told me I needed a rootcanal and an expensive crown. As my regular dentist is in Europe and I have only a travel insurance in the US, I was afraid of having a major procedure done and thus wanted a second opinion. However, I didn't tell Dr. Nguyen that I had seen another dentist before in order to get her honest medical opinion. Dr. Nguyen was very thorough (and careful!) with her examination and then concluded that I didn't suffer from an infected tooth, but that my gingvia was inflammed and I had deep gum pockets that needed to be cleaned! Meaning: she not only stopped my pain but also saved me from an expensive procedure! On top of that, Dr. Nguyen was super friendly and really had a way to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I tend to panic on the dentist's chair, but with her I really felt safe and in caring hands. I wholeheartedly recommend her! read more

Everything from the beginning to end of the visit was seamless and easy. Her office is well ran and the doctor is simply an amazing person.
