Stuff's is an absolute gem in Wisconsin Dells. It's the kind of place you expect to see on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. My husband and I go there many times over the summer and it is worth every raise in our cholesterol levels. Stuff's is a small, local greasy spoon with monster servings and low prices. The staff is always friendly, and the cooks even come out to say hello. We always do breakfast because we never tire of it. Biscuits and gravy with hash browns and scrambled eggs is our usual. If we're not planning to eat for the rest of the day, the Big Bubba is the way to go. A huge dinner roll is sliced open to get "stuffed" with sausage, hash browns and eggs. Everything is topped off in country gravy and cheese. If you order coffee a pot is brought to the table. God bless America. Skip the chains and make a trip to Stuff's. Ordered 6 burgers by phone. They screwed up 4. Friday at 4 PM, not busy and no excuse. Also, don't seal your take our burgers in a plastic bag. After about two minutes the burger is a soggy mess. Confused by the good reviews so far. read more

Stuff's Restaurant in Wisconsin Dells, Wi is delicious! A couple of miles off the main drag but worth the drive. My sister is allergic to gluten, dairy, eggs, food coloring, preservatives, and she doesn't eat meat. I know what's left, right? This place is a gem. Great menu variety and quality. The layered carrot cake was top notch. The burgers are huge and the home made buns are incredible. We stopped in because we wanted a bite to eat and it looked like a cute little diner. It had good reviews, but we were strongly disappointed in the food and atmosphere. I don't know what we were doing on the road that led to Stuffs, but when we saw it (and the many cars in the parking lot), we knew it must be something special. It really is a little speck and you can zip right by it. Don't!!!! My beloved is a big breakfast guy and this place was right up his alley. I on the other hand, am not a breakfast person but always try to find something that works. I knew they had homemade biscuits. However, I don't want a lot of biscuits--so I was delighted when I was able to order just one. Add an order of delicious sausage and I was as happy as my beloved with Stuffs. Overall, it's alright. The food is decent, nothing special, but the atmosphere is a bit strange. It's also a bit dirty. Wouldn't recommend.

While finishing our last day in WI Dells, we came across this little restaurant. Not much to look at from the outside, but very friendly and homey on the inside. Great breakfast and service! The son says they served him the BEST biscuits and gravy EVERRRRR, my egg was cooked almost perfectly (and I'm pretty picky) and the rest of our meal was great. Good solid little restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are on vacation in Dells, found this restaurant on Yelp, went to check out. It's a little out of town but worth the drive. We came around noon, most breakfast places were closed, but this one. We ordered a couple of their combos. It was a very hearty, homemade breakfast, great biscuits and gravy, delicious potatoes. Was there for lunch 4/4/19. Ordered shrimp creole. Now why I did that, I don't know. I am in Wisconsin for heavens sake. It was awful, bland, way too thick. Like can of tomato soup and cold rice heated together. Sent it back with the very sweet waitress and ordered eggs Benedict with "pepper" and over crab cakes. Oh my, they were heaven and a very creative hollendaise sauce. Crab cakes were fresh, crisp and tender. What a contrast in experience! The service was good and quick. The restaurant itself is small and retro. The food is not priced $, it is priced $$. All the food is not cook to order hence the 2 stars. The scrambled eggs are pre-made and from a warming tray. The sliced potatoes were extremely greasy. The sausage gravy was cold for the biscuits and gravy. The sausage links were undercooked. The regular shredded hash browns were ok. The French Toast was excellent. Maybe it was a bad day, but my family was disappointed. read more

This place is simply awesome. People come to the Dells and wait to eat at Mr. Pancake and Paul Bunyans(both overpriced crap), they should be lined up here. The food is well priced and plentiful. Not to forget that it is also delicious. Anyone rating this place low either came on a bad day or needs to stick with their chain places. The service was also friendly and attentive. If you leave this place hungry or eat again shortly afterwards, you did it wrong. Have been eating here since 2002, and I recommend it to anyone who asks for a good restaurant in the Dells. I have never had a bad meal here, all the food is amazing, and Guy (the owner) coming out to greet every table after they are served is unlike any other restaurant I have eaten at EVER! I actually requested my birthday dinner to be had here a few years ago, and Guy even let us bring the cake in (he was disappointed that he didn't get to make it) and sang Happy Birthday with my family. I also used to work 3rd shift and every Friday we would go somewhere for breakfast (dinner to a 3rd shifter) and he would turn the fryers on for me at 0730 because he knew I would want mini tacos and fish, as no other restaurant in the Dells that serves a Friday fish fry will serve it that early in the morning. It became so ritual that after the 2nd Friday we went in there, he had already prepared the fryers because he knew I would be coming in! Wish he were open for dinner more days than just Friday, but the Friday fish fry is definitely worth the trip. Reasonably priced as well; one of the few local places we frequent. And his homemade desserts are to die for! Try to save room for them! read more

My family and I ate at Stuff's restaurant this morning and loved it! We always try to seek out the local joints on our family adventures and this is why. We were greeted upon our entrance with a smile. When our waitress came to the table she was very nice and warm. She offered crayons and a piece of paper to keep our 1 year old busy. We ordered breakfast and soon after our food arrived. It was hot, prepared just the way we had asked for it and honestly one of the best meals we have had in a long time. The place is very small - only 10 tables, but the staff is friendly. The food was very good and certainly on par with and good restaurant you might find. Stuff's is off the beaten path in the Dells. We are fortunate and have a vacation home 10 miles outside the Dells. Stuff's is a really good breakfast joint. Tiny little place. It is family run and the people are very nice. Good coffee, good eggs, good potatoes, etc... I like little joints like this and the food is consistent and solid. Nothing fancy but good. I have not eaten anything but breakfast there so can't comment on other meals. I think they are only open until 2 p.m. and might have dinner on Friday?? Fish Fry?? Nice people, blows away a Denny's or a chain. It is nice to support the locals as much as you can and these seem like great people. It is a hoot and they have a frog chef statue outside to welcome you. Go and visit them. read more

We are in the Dells for fall break with our kids. After talking to an employee at the park, we were recommended to come for breakfast or lunch. We stopped in for lunch today and had the best meal of the week. The buns that the sandwiches are served on are baked fresh in the restaurant and are absolutely wonderful. The owner came out to talk to us and gave local recommendations for things to do. It was almost like having a meal with family. We all left happy with the choice to go to Stuffs. read more
