My husband and I stopped in at this sweet local burger joint! Reminds me of a place I used to hang out after high school. The smell of charred burgers and fries is nostalgic. It's not the mist organized space with supplies stacked out in view but it's a small space! We did not try out the jukebox but it was a cool addition to the room. The counter persons were polite and helpful. We ordered the large and regular sized burgers with French fries and sweet potato fries. I preferred the French fries because they were crinkle cut. You can tell this place is an icon to Dickson because of all the things on the walls. I will be returning for the yummy burgers.

Was real sad that Tony Bs was closed due to the flu. So...gave the Frosty Jug a shot. I was not disappointed. Ordered the 1/2 pound burger with bacon and cheese. It was a homemade burger with the works. I would say Tony Bs is better however the Jug is not a bad way to go.

Got a craving for ice cream our last night camping at Montgomery Bell State Park. My family and I ordered fried pickles and fried macaroni and cheese. Both were delicious and hot and fast. After, I got a hot fudge cake. I must say, it was the best one that I have ever had! The fudge was so hot and the cake so fluffy!

Fried honey bun with vanilla ice cream. Delicious

Decent "pattie melt". Chocolate malt tasted more like a chocolate shake. Ok fries. Friendly staff.

They seated us on the 4th floor, next to a large open window, where we had an excellent view of the street below. My wife and I decided to split the waffle sliders: Omelet Style Eggs, Cheddar Cheese, and Bacon sandwiched between 2 pieces of Belgian Waffles. There were 2 'sliders' - which were huge! Everything was cooked to perfection. And the combination of flavors were unbelievable. We both thought they were delicious. I can't wait to try making this at home! The decor was great. The staff couldn't have been better. Service was quick and efficient. We're so glad we decided to eat here!

It was also pretty cool that there's different floors to eat on. We were on the 6th floor so the view was great. Our server was knowledgeable about Nashville so that was a great conversation with her. The food was mediocre - I had the avocado toast that did not have a lot of avocado but it was ok. I wanted an over easy egg but they only have scrambled eggs. My husband had scrambled eggs, potato's and bacon...again nothing special. Go for the view from the 6th floor!

While sounding heavy, was met with a light with a fresh pico de gallo and a well crafted crispy but fluffy hash brown. The dish is very well crafted by the restaurant and is a must have if you're in the area. I'd put this omelette in my top egg dishes to get. Very pleased! -biscuits and gravy 5/5 -drop biscuit.... When I scanned the reviews of potential local restaurants I wanted to visit for breakfast, I was…read moresurprised to find my name already on the Half Way listing. Then....I saw that my review was a decade ago! (That was back when it was a little farther out of town and in a smaller place. So, I came back, anew, to enjoy again. Hands down, this is a friendly establishment with a staff that is welcoming, polite, helpful...and ready to serve you. The interior is open and sports a nostalgic look with large tables accompanied by old (but sturdy) mismatched, carved-high back chairs. Yes, you can sit by yourself, but if it's busy....scoot over and invite a new friend to join you. Most tables seat 6 or 8 -- more "communal" style in a sense. Step up to the counter and order from the solid, albeit mundane, menu: eggs to order, meat side, potatoes, biscuit & toast...gravy if you like. They'll bring it to your table. Nothing fancy. My wife's eggs were scrambled, but not fluffy....rather flat like an unfilled omelet. My over easy eggs were close to perfection and oozed a rich yolk sauce on my deep fried potato cake. Yes, I would have preferred authentic hash browns or "home fries". But this worked for the occasion. Biscuits were buttery and tender. Coffee - average. Sausage patty appeared to be cut from a commercial roll - fried well and tasty. My wife's bacon was absolutely to her liking (hard to get right sometimes). But her's was spot on: very crisp, not burned. Lots of grab and go sandwiches for sale....check out other reviews and photos. Before you leave, pick up a couple of fried pies. (Ten yeara ago I had the peach - yummy. This timr we took home both apple and cherry. Slightly - not overly sweet fillings and a great afternoon treat. Dough was slightly different this visit. (You can see that in my pics...if Yelp still has them available.) As for the "Market" aspect of the name....that is a bit of a mystery - not a lot of market goods were readily visible. Oh!...be careful parking. The unmarked "street side" parking is tight and cars can come barreling down Hill Street. There is apparently more parking on the back side (towards downtown area). All-in-all the vibe was a bit like my Grandma's Country Store (1940-50s) a place where I was born and raised...friendly, comforting, congenial. And, a return for lunch is in order - the menu sounds inviting ... I hope another 10 years doesn't pass before I make it back for that. PS: very clean restrooms available too.
