    Fried artichokes

We made reservations the day before and I'm glad we did because it got busy while we were there. We were seated and greeted quickly. I didn't take a picture of the menu because as the other reviews noted, they have definitely seen better days. Started off with the watermelon cocktail. It was very refreshing for such a hot day. We decided to get a variety of appetizers. We ordered the poke nachos, fried artichokes, the meatballs, and the fried buffalo shrimp, all of which were amazing. Everything we had was made to perfection. Service was decent but not very attentive once we had our food. Would have appreciated the server come by to refill waters and check on us at least once or twice. Overall, I would come back because the food was fantastic.

We really enjoy the social/happy hour at The Hideout Kitchen & Bar. We went on 8/17/2026 and had the Poke Nachos and The New Yorker pizza. We always have the Poke Nachos which are fantastic, but wanted to try the pizza. It was great. We ordered it crispy. Had a good crispy undercarriage. Great ice cold beer to boot. Todd R.

Jesus christ this meal was heavenly. We shared the Classic Pizza and Mandarin Chicken Salad; perfect. I've been trying to diet, and this was so healthy, AND flavorful. The presentation was crazy aesthetically pleasing as well, I forgot to take a picture when it first came out but trust me lol. Our waiter was really nice, checked on us multiple times. Would definitely come back for more!

I would rate this place a 4.5 out of five stars . To start the location of this place is very nice and the aesthetic inside is very nice . The service was great and we got sat right away which is always a place . The menu had a good amount of options. We got the bruschetta with the burrito for an appetizer but it tasted strange . The balsamic on it was very harsh and the burrata didn't do anything for it . The calamari was pretty good and it had a nice crunch to it . The burger was good however I wish they would have had other options for cheeses . They only had American I believe which is my least forgot cheese and it would have been nice to have cheddar . The salad was really good and fresh the dressing was delicious . So far that I give this place a 4.5 out of 5 .

We had a wonderful dining experience! The food was amazing. I had the Margherita pizza, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the fish, and he said it was absolutely delicious. To top it all off, the espresso martini was so yummy and the perfect way to end the meal. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town. Totally recommend!

Beautiful aesthetic with ambient lighting, very cozy not too loud. the calamari was delicious and crispy had a little kick to it Burger look like a Krabby Patty, very thick. my only concern was the bruschetta being too vinegary and having to aftertaste otherwise the service was immaculate and very attentive.

Everything for us was exceptional. It service was on point. From our waitress to the manager. We sat in the patio and in December the weather was perfect 70°. We arrived in time to listen to a mellow guitarist. Lovely. Ok, on to the food. We started out with perfect calamari, I had the wedge salad with curry chicken soup. My mouth is watering just writing about it. My friends enjoyed BLT, with a caesar salad. When in Palm Desert this is a must try restaurant. You'll want to come back again and again.

This has become a tradition now for us. EVERY time we're in Palm Springs we stop here, it could be day one or last day on our way back home. We absolutely love this restaurant. They have everything for everyone. My most recommended are the Pizza as is comes out fresh warm and crispy. Really Great Pizza. Must try the Sweet & Spicy which has Prosciutto, Pepperoni, Shredded Buffalo Mozzarella, Arugula, with their House-made Pizza Sauce, Drizzled Habanero Bacon Jam. The Smash Burger is really good! (NOT SMASHED BUT REALLY GOOD) The Buffalo Hot Wings are 10 out of 10. You get that Vinegar Kick so if you really like it hot and spicy def try. PRICED OUT PERFECT. Gotta give the owner props for the quality of food and price he keeps, I've been here many times and never disappointed. Thanks Enrique (great Service my Brother)

Came back for a visit. Still a great hidden gem. The music is great. Same singer singing 70s easy listening tonight. I loved it. We got an excellent table near the singer. Food was excellent. Did not disappoint. I got the grilled chicken breast sandwich (just a little on the drier side but still good), and the others in my party got the lamb burger and the mussels. All were great. The portion sizes are very good too.

We had just got into town and came across The Hideout. They have garage parking (free). It is located upstairs right at the top of the escalator. There is an outside patio with plenty of seating and there was even live music going on. We requested to sit inside. There is a full bar with seating as well. Despite being short staffed, the service was great! Our food came out pretty quickly and our server always checked on us. We ordered truffle fries, buffalo wings, zucchini fries and a margherita pizza. Everything looked delicious and portions were big! We definitely had leftovers. My personal fave was the zucchini fries but all the food was really good! The zucchini fries were thickly sliced and the batter was crisp and both dipping sauces were good. The truffle fries were full of flavor, the wings were tasty (could've been a little more crispy in my opinion) and the margherita pizza was good. Everything was shareable and we still had leftovers (party of 3) Glad we decided to eat here!

I am always on the lookout for a spot that has a large appetizer list and "refreshed" sounding cocktails & ingredients. The Hideout - kitchen + bar - on El Paseo in Palm Desert hit the mark. I've been eyeing this restaurant since they opened as they look the lease on a cute indoor/outdoor space that I used to frequent often when it was another restaurant. Today I found myself in downtown El Paseo, window shopping (saving my money for cocktails) and decided to finally give this spot a go. I love what they've done with the place, the decor and vibes were very relaxed yet classy. The menu here is the best part. I love any place that has a half of a page of their menu dedicated to appetizers. Even better when they all sound so good it's hard to choose. Lily was working today and I so appreciated her sweetness and willingness to give suggestions on the menu. She sold me on some amazing sounding bites so I went with a cocktail + an appetizer + a main (yolo). If there are fried zuchinni on a menu I am getting them! Their lightly batter tempura zuchinni sticks were addicting and I'll have to get them every time. Being a saucy girl I loved that they came with ranch and a chipotle aioli. Heavenly. Cocktails also lived up to my expectations. I had a beautiful pomegranate mojito which was super refreshing and well balanced, not too sweet, which was perfect for sipping on in this sunny-hot desert weather. If you find yourself on El Paseo shopping and want something reasonably priced but still good vibes, definitely check out The Hideout in Palm Desert.

Lovely location nestled in an outdoor promenade / mall. The staff were kind and exceptional. The food was delicious (we had pizza). We literally ordered three pizzas for three people yummy and delicious! The drinks perfect! However, the chairs outside were a little tight (not big boy friendly).

My wife and I had the chance to eat brunch here due to a guest suggestion from the hotel that we were were staying at for our Spring Break vacay. We were pleasantly greeted and immediately seated. Our waitress was nice. Provided drink suggestions when asked. My wife had a Strawberry Moscow mule and I had a basil margarita with muddled Strawberries and cucumbers (My request) and they accommodated!! Yummmmmmyyy both drinks. Our food was superb. Omggg...I do not normally eat all of my food in one sitting, especially a burger. However, I ate that whole 1/2 lb of short rib brisket and chuck blend gladly lol. It was delicious. Not to mention on a bed of butter lettuce and juicy tomatoes...ohhh.. that soft bun. I enjoyed my WHOLE meal. My wife had the chicken parmesan sandwich. She said it was okay. Oh well.. she should have got the burger lol. The fries were good as well. I gladly reccomend this spot. Ppl were ordering the pizza and poke nachos... all of that looked so tasty too. We will visit again when we return. Lol.

Great brunch spot! We were visiting from out of town and were looking for somewhere to grab brunch…read more I checked Yelp and found Wilma & Frieda's and liked the reviews I read. The location was easy to find, ample parking too. The restaurant itself is kind of small (it's kind of more like a coffeehouse with a decent-sized table-service area), but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on our second visit. (Yep, we liked it enough that we went twice during our trip!) The servers and staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was hot and delicious, and the portions were generous. And there were a good variety of savory and sweet brunch items to choose from. They also serve lunch and have a bakery counter, but I didn't look too hard at those parts of the menu because I knew I wanted the short-rib scramble as soon as I saw it on the online menu, haha! And the biscuits--oh my goodness, they are so good. They taste perfectly homemade and are pillow soft yet just the right amount of crumbly without being a dried, cracking mess. Across my 2 visits, I had the short-rib scramble (yum) and the Meany (basically eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a biscuit--yum), and my daughter had the biscuits and gravy, which she said was great. I highly recommend Wilma & Frieda's and will definitely go back on future Palm Springs trips.

At that point, we decided to get up, cancel our order, and leave. I completely understand that restaurants can get busy, but there was little communication and we felt completely forgotten. It is really unfortunate because this used to be one of my favorite brunch spots. I hope this was just an off day, but today's service was unacceptable and incredibly disappointing. The resort fee also felt hard to justify. The included amenities did not seem to match the extra charge. The two complimentary drinks were limited to Truly canned drinks or a small pour of hard lemonade or iced tea, which felt underwhelming for a resort of this caliber. We did enjoy the range balls, but as early risers, I would have appreciated access to the spa or pool earlier in the morning. Unfortunately, the room itself left a lot to be desired. The bed sheets had what looked like an oil or grease stain, the closet door was broken, and the overall furnishings and finishes felt worn and dated rather than well maintained. This is very much a family resort, so that is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Even at the adults-only Paloma Pool, children were jumping into the water and splashing guests' drinks while parents appeared unconcerned. That made it difficult to relax in what was supposed to be a peaceful setting. On a positive note, the entrance walkway, lobby, and open-air courtyard are beautiful and make for a strong first impression. Unfortunately, that charm does not extend to the guest rooms, which are clearly in need of a refresh.

I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was really good. The eggs were perfectly poached, the salmon was generous, and the hollandaise was creamy without feeling too heavy. We also shared the bread and cheese board, and surprisingly, the pear with the date spread was probably one of my favorite bites. The pear was crisp and fresh, and that sweet, rich date spread was seriously addictive. I kept going back for more. The bread, nuts, cheese, and other little bites on the board made it really fun to share. The drinks were refreshing too, and the presentation was beautiful without trying too hard.
