I've been a Deutsch customer for over a year now and couldn't be happier with my experience there. My last visit I was able to purchase the ultimate diving accessory, a Sea-Dweller Deepsea, the most hardcore dive watch Rolex makes. Sales staff is friendly and knowledgeable, make customers feel welcome and try their best to fulfill their wishes. I didn't want just any Rolex; as a recreational diver and someone who's really into the brand and its values, I wanted to buy a tool watch that exemplifies what Rolex as a company stands for: tough, reliable, durable tool watches that are overbuilt for their intended purpose and will outlive their owners with a minimum of maintenance. Valerie accommodated me, she got me exactly what I wanted and did so in a friendly and professional manner. I only wish I could leave more stars in this review. Needless to say, I'll keep coming back to Deutsch for all my jewelry and Rolex/Tudor/Cartier purchases. I went in to purchase a Rolex, with the understanding that there would be a waitlist. Ms. Garcia was very helpful knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions. I also brought in an older Rolex for cleaning and calibration. Again, the staff was very professional and helpful. My overall impression is that Deutsch is a First Class Jeweler whose primary concern is service to their customers, second only to the quality of their merchandise. read more

My experience at Deutsch Fine Jewelry and specifically with Sales Associate Diana has been fantastic. I have been in multiple times, sometimes to look and sometimes to buy, and I have always received nothing but the best, most professional service from everyone. I felt from my very first visit that Diana listened to me and really cared about what I was looking for. She is amazing and seems to remember everything and actually followed up with me. I am not the easiest customer and can be very indecisive but Diana was very patient and handled all my requests gracefully. I have also been helped by many of the other staff members and can honestly say they have all been great, it's like I'm part of their friends and family plan! Sadly after that first great experience, it has all gone downhill. I followed the appropriate check back in etiquette as discussed with Diana (once in 6 weeks). Upon calling them, I always get a "she is busy "and "all the other associates are busy" "some one will call you back" runaround. Provided my contact information. Zero return calls. This has happened three times. Disappointing level of service. I understand the watches are in low supply but that doesn't excuse poor customer interaction. My wife and I were looking for a 10 year anniversary band to celebrate. We stopped by multiple stores but Deutsch really impressed us. To begin with, we worked with Linda who was incredibly helpful. She talked to my wife not only about the feel and look of the watch to help narrow down a band, but also helped by sharing the specific types/style of rings to help my wife have the vocabulary to search if she found a style and wanted to look elsewhere. The biggest thing they did that won my vote was they sized and had my wife try on a sample ring in different order (e.g. new ring first vs new ring last ). It turns out when you wear multiple rings, the finger can change size because the earlier rings will "compress" the finger. As a result we actually got a larger ring size than was normal. That attention to detail really helped me feel comfortable putting down money with this company. If you're in the market for something special go and give Deutsch a shot. You'll hopefully at least come out with more knowledge. read more

Deutsch Houston is the best fine jewelry store in Houston. My family has been going to Deutsch for over 15 years as there is not another comparable jeweler in the Houston area. The customer service is superb. We have used Donna for over 15 years as well and she never disappoints. Every experience we have here is truly wonderful. The selection and diversity the of jewelry is incredible and always changing. No matter what you are looking for you will find it here. They have the best selection of engagement rings, watches (have purchased multiple Cartier & Rolex watches from here), large diamond necklaces, diamond studs, hoops, diamonds by the yard, stackables, you name it and it's here. They also do a great job on any jewelry repair. I have had many rings re-sized here as well as reworked into new pieces of jewelry. Update to prior review after response from Deutsch. Obviously the poor review was warranted. Somehow Deutsch blames me for writing the review because I did not get the response I wanted. No, the review was the result of us being misled - twice. First when we made the purchase and were promised that Deutsch provided great after sale service. Second when we took ring in for repair on a promise of a few days turnaround which upon a trip to the store was unavailable, worse because instead of then being told how situation could be resolved (repair, then securely ship to us), all we get told is what they couldn't / wouldn't do. read more

Impressed with the amount of Tudors they have for sale as well as Rolex but I'm knocking off two stars for the fact that the person sent to help me pretty much did not know anything about Rolex. How are you going to try to sell me a $8500 Ceramic GMT Master II and confuse the specs with a Submariner? Sorry I don't remember the name of the lady helping me but I had to school her on a couple things. I went ahead and bought somewhere else instead. Okay, so they'll never be my favorite jewelry store in town, but I have to admit that their new store is pretty spiffy. It is much, much larger so you're not as cramped and you can actually have room to move around. Their cases have more to offer, though they just cannot seem to get past Rolex. They do carry some fun smaller brands of jewelery on top of the more generic stuff which is a nice surprise. The service is always friendly, though a little rehearsed. It was nice, however, to deal with someone who recently got their GG from GIA and was still excited about the field. All in all, the new store suits them--this is a big improvement upon their last location. read more

I go in there frequently unfortunately I can't always buy every time but they don't snub me but treat me with VIP treatment whether I buy or not. I have been waited on by Debra, Donna and Linda. All have been outstanding sales people and really know what they are talking about in regard to the jewelry lines. I have also dealt with Missy when it comes to repairs. We had a horrible experience and were treated poorly. Originally we had my engagement ring custom made at D&D. Unfortunately, the salesman measured my finger and wrote down the wrong size and we ended up with a ring that was too large. Due to the large size, they could only size it down partially. It was still too big. Worse than having a too large ring, the ring sizing was done poorly and where they sized it (on the shank), it split open after less than a week. They fixed this, but shortly after that (less than a month), a diamond fell out. Again, they did fix that, but told me that "pave just does that." Pave does loose stones, but not after having a brand new ring less than a month...Since the ring was still too big, I asked for sizing balls. However, the store offered to re-make my exact ring in the correct size. That was a very generous offer and naively we took them up on it after being told it would be the exact same. When I went to pick up the new ring, it was very clear that it was not the same. The milligrain and knife edge that were prominent features in my ring, were absent. I was devastated, but on my way to my bridal shower so I didn't have time to deal with it. When my fiance called them, bc I was too hysterical, he requested to just have my old ring back. Turns out it was destroyed. At NO POINT in the interaction were we told that was a possibility. We never dreamed that a store who designed and made the ring, could not remake it properly. They did admit the ring was wrong and claimed they just wanted me to have one for my bridal shower, but when I picked it up they certainly did not mention anything to that effect. Which makes me assume they were knowingly trying to pawn off a bad ring. They did offer to remake it again. We took them up on this, as we really felt we had no choice. However, AGAIN the ring came back incorrect. The milligrain was now in places it never was before, the center stone was set CROOKED and some of the diamonds in the pave were cracked. The fact that they could even hand that over to me is appalling. More appalling is the fact that I emailed the owner of the store as I was getting no where with the front office staff. He never contacted me back. Instead the same "designer" who created the CAD emailed me back and referred to this issue as her "burden." Nice...She offered to remake it again. Honestly I'd had enough of them by that point. We went somewhere else and ironically, they were able to make the ring right on the first try. Maybe it is because the other store doesn't farm out their work. Clearly the same people weren't working on my ring, clearly qualified people were not working on my ring. I was even told that the tool they must have used on the last version D&D made of my ring was wrong and that is why it looked so poor. I would HIGHLY advise going anywhere else than Deutsch & Deutsch. read more
