I realized sitting down to eat today that I have been eating her since I was a little girl. Probably about 20 years. I absolutely love this restaurant. Today I came in with my husband and daughter. We were quickly seated. The dinning area was clean and the staff very welcoming. We both decided to order the Dinner Special- it comes with your choice of burrito and a cheese enchilada. We went with the homemade Chile Verde. This meal is my favorite and I've been ordering it for years. It's YUMMY! This is the first time my husband ordered it and he cleared his plate- the whole time talking about how delicious it was. We will of course be back and we recommend this place to all. read more

This is by far our favorite Mexican food place around. It's always delicious, the host is always attentive and the servers are quick! The food is delicious and comes out within 5 minutes. We love the chips and salsa, the salsa is thick but it's delicious - in our opinion. And we order the queso which is downright delicious too. I usually order the lunch special for dinner or the taco salad, either have generous portions. My boyfriend always orders the chimichanga and it's definitely his favorite. I have been going to Su Casa for about 40 years. We love it. It has become a family tradition for birthdays, etc. I always get the tostada with a side of guacamole. They had the best bean tostada and guacamole around! The last 3 times I have been there (two months time), I can't even eat the guacamole. It doesn't even taste like it is made from avocado. My daughter went there and she said the same thing about her guacamole. She asked for a side of avocado and was told the don't have any???? Unless they change the way they are making the guacamole( I just can't even eat it), I will be looking for a new place to get a tostada. Makes me so sad. read more

Really wanted to like this place but sadly....it's not good at all. Red enchilada sauce has a straight up tomato sauce taste, I know most Mexican joints are super afraid of making things too spicy but this sauce took it to a new bland level. The Chile verde wasn't much better and was missing that green chile vibe. The queso is not at all what you expect...it's like they took a hunk of cream cheese and put some pico on top of it, softened it up and sent it out....so gross. No. This food is not a worthy trade for any sum of money. When I got my food it seemed like it was microwaved and the sauce seemed like it was from a can. The "salsa" is no more than some ketchup with a bit of spice added to it. I looked at my friend and said, "Did they even try?". I couldn't believe the low effort that went into that food. Although I do encourage financially supporting local merchants, this restaurant is not worth the visit. The chicken was boiled not grilled (stated in menu) and the fish (supposed to be mahi mahi) was brown and not grilled as stated in the menu and also frankly tasted off. My husband's veggie burrito was just beans and cheese which were bland and beige, as well as being devoid of vegetables. No beer or margaritas to buffer the experience either - still no liquor license! Complaints were dismissed and we were accused of "not reading the menu" - so rude. The tacos were credited - I only ate one-half and returned the rest. This is basically the definition of adequate food and neutral ambience. If bland food is your thing, you'll probably love this place. If you are an authentic Mexican food devotee, you will be very disappointed. read more

We love Su Casa. It's quick, it's not too pricey and it's great Mexican. The staff is the same year after year. They must treat their employees well. To be fair, Mexican Food is way more personal than say a great steak. Most of us can agree on what an awesome steak is but its much more difficult to agree on good Mex food. That being said see following comments. I love good green chili (some call it chilli verde) but it suppose to be more green than red and it has more a more green chilli taste than red chilli. Salsa isnt suppose to taste like ketchup or enchilada sauce. The chips did come warm so that's a plus. I like crispy rellenos with minimal breading filled with Monterey Jack cheese. Its a dive but good Mex restaurants often are. It wasnt busy. The service was excellent and friendly and the prices were reasonable. Bland experience but we liked our waitress! She was working dinner rush practically alone so we waited a lonnnnng longggggggg time for everything. Cheese Enchilada I ordered the cheese enchilada plate with rice and beans. When I ordered, I stressed that I didn't want anything spicy, because I can't tolerate anything spicy. Most Mexican places will say something isn't spicy, but when I get the food it actually is very spicy to me! Not the case here. Restaurant is okay... Ordered the Chili Relleno with rice and beans. The rice was crispy and dry, the beans had the consistency and taste of a canned variety and the Chili Relleno tasted like it had freezer burn. They also bring you complimentary chips and sals with your meal. The mild one they give everyone is like ketchup, they do however have a spicier salsa that we actually ended up enjoying. Okay, I'm biased -I grew up going to this restaurant with my family for any and every special occasion. I miss the old tacky décor, but the "new" style is cleaner and still comfy. The food is great. I like Su Casa and I was turned on to this place for there cheap lunch special. Less than $6 and you get a bean tostada and a bean burrito, big portions. This location is bigger then downtown and cozy. Servers seem to be on top of it, actually working then socializing. The ranch here is made with buttermilk and it is amazballs!! My boyfriend and I hit the Midvale location the other night and I realized I'd forgotten how much I like Su Casa. I love it. Small marinated pieces of chicken atop a load of romaine and tortilla strips. Red cabbage, some lime juice, a little avo, and I'm gonzo. If you don't like the fat of typical salad dressings, have it with their fresh salsa (not the lava red stuff). Okay, this review is a little mixed. Sometimes, it can be a 4 stars but some days it can be a 3. I ordered the nacho supreme and it was not good at all. Chips were very stale. The second time around I ordered the Mexican dinner. It has a salad, and four other things! I got Chile verde (which was not green?), rice, beans, and a beef taco. The beef taco was very oily and they gave me two shells. The best thing there was the salad... ironically. Service depends on who you get! Both times, we got someone who didn't refill our drinks and took forever to take or order or even check up on us! Another server whom I don't know his name but he looks Hispanic and could be a dad (sorry if that's offensive) but he took care of us even if he wasn't serving us!! New fan of this Restaurant. I have never been here before. I usually go to another place on 7200 south. But since they changed cooks it is terrible. I love Chili Relleno... I live for them. I ordered two. They were wonderful, the refried beans are good too. Hubby had the gordita and was pleased. We shared the Queso, and we have to come back just for that. My wife and I have been here a couple of times. The price you pay and the service you get is exceptional! We just finished a plate of the Vegetarian burrito grande, we split it between both of us, we are both full! We paid $10.01, including the huge side of sour cream. The food is fresh, its authentic, the ambience and feeling of this place is Mexican, in the best way. One of the waitresses stopped by the table to say hi, she remembered us! The lady behind me can't stop talking about how good her Tacos are. They are fast, with in a minute of sitting down, I had water, and free all you can eat chips in front of me. The red dipping sauce is very good, it's not spicy, and the chips were hot, we had about 3 plates full, we never ran empty.
