8 inch grinder, toasted bun, lettuce, mayo, onion, pickle with oil & vinegar

Stopped by for lunch and this place didn't disappoint. The gentleman at the counter was very prompt and polite! Their sub menu is great. I chose a cold grinder and was told it would be 10-15 minutes. The kind gentleman came outside within 5-6 minutes with my order ready. I'm very pleased. The inside is pretty standard when it comes to sub shops. Reminds me of home. The sub is delicious. Exactly what I expect from their menu. Will be returning.

I eat at Sub A about once a week. They have a good variety of food, American & Asian. egg rolls, spring rolls, sub sandwiches, hot wings etc. Nice Vietnamese family owned & operated. Decent prices & pretty quick food prep for lunchtime. One of the best in Irving with easy access from Loop12 @ Irving blvd. If you're passing through.

Cheesesteak and chips. Made with ribeye steak

We just discovered this mom/pop joint. The cheesesteak is legit. To me much better than captain nemo's used to be. The bread and the marinated ribeye meat is what make this awesome sandwich. Plus the free small cup of chicken noddle soup was perfect.

    Order area, quite the selection.

Sub A, is a amalgamation of two different cuisines You have your classic hoagie shop mixed in a with a chinese restaurant. What is interesting is that they do both well. I had a cheesesteak the other day with which was really good. Yesterday I had their Shrimp Lo Mein which was great. I will say the lo mein was a little bit greasy, but hey its lo mein. On top of that, if your order more than $6, for any meal you get free homemade chicken noodle soup made three times a day which equates to being super good soup. You could make a meal of the soup by itself, that is how good it is. The people who work here are very friendly, and the restaurant is very clean. The menu is posted right on the wall for easy to read and ordering. If your in the area and want to try something new, I suggest you check this place out.

Stopped by to grab a sandwich before a flight out of dfw because who wants to pay $15 for a bad sandwich at the airport when you can get an 8" from Sub A for $6 that tastes 300% better!  Sub A is in the middle of nowhere, you will not stumble upon it unless it IS your destination!  It was on the way from a client office to the airport so I popped on in to check it out. Upon entering I knew I would like it.  No frills, the menu is a cross between you neighborhood Chinese spot and an Italian deli.  Made me do a double take but after I had a brief conversation with the cashier I felt much better.  I asked the young man what he recommended for a flight and he quickly asked if I liked a lot of meat on my sandwich.  Yes please, who doesn't! I opted for the biggest one (first item on the menu which is called the Pro Sub).  It came with a lot of meat and he even let me swap out the Swiss for pepper jack since I prefer my cheese without holes.   He also gave me a cup to self serve myself some chicken noodle soup.  The soup was good but I couldn't each much because it was 100+ outside.  Maybe in the summer they should replace that with some soda or bottle water. The sandwich itself was huge!  Plenty enough for two meals.  But of course I ate till I was full and devoured the second half about 1.5 hours later.  Delicious.  The meat we piled high and the extra free toppings are a great touch.  I got some lettuce, cucumbers, mushrooms, and oil/vinegar.  Delicious.  The bread was nice and soft (inside and out which was fine). All in all a good spot for a sandwich.  May even surprise you and replace your favorite Italian deli.

We went almost as soon as they opened on a Sunday so it wasn't crowded. The servers were all very friendly and welcoming. Our server explained the menu, inquired about what we liked and made recommendations. My husband found several things he liked and wanted to try. The food was good, the drinks were tasty and the place was nice for a date. Definitely will go back and take my sushi eating girlfriends when they come for a visit.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jordan (I believe that was his name) and seated promptly - Jordan also happened to be our waiter as well. The customer service was top notch all evening and we thoroughly enjoy the service. We ordered drinks and various appetizers off of the happy hour menu such as Lychee Like That (I enjoyed this drink and wish I would've ordered a 2nd), spicy tuna roll, sushi tacos, miso soup, hot honey potstickers, and the chicken gyoza. Everything was tasty but we really enjoyed the gyoza and potstickers! For mains, we ordered various nigiri (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, eel) and Wagyu handrolls. The nigiri was ok and seemed as if it could've been fresher and we didn't too much care for the hand roll and wish it had an element of crunch instead or just meat and rice filling. Overall, this seems like a party spot to go with friends, etc. as it's nicely decorated and the service was great. However, I doubt I'll return!

It's an unassuming location but once you step through the doors you're met with ambient lighting, wooden table tops and benches. We arrived around 11 and were greeted immediately; sat within 5 mins. When I walked in, the place was empty. I stood at the "Please wait to be seated" sign for way longer than necessary--especially since there were no other customers. I finally peeked in and saw two employees busy counting receipts and money at the register. (Bad Impression #1). After being seated, I was actually enjoying the music until I felt something sticky on my forearm. It was a stray bean sprout left on the table (Bad Impression #2). To make matters worse, the tables are incredibly low. Even at my height, I had to hunch over the entire time. I eventually gave up on table manners and just held the rice bowl up to my face to eat comfortably. Regarding the food: it was a bit salty. The kimchi fried rice was average, but the kimchi stew really missed the mark. That was the moment I realized this is a fusion spot, not authentic Korean. It wasn't horrible, but it's definitely different from the real thing. BUT, can we talk about the massive portions? (Good Impression #1). Everything is clearly meant to be shared. The service was actually good. They have a buzzer on the table for service, which I loved. It saves you from having to track down a waiter. (Good Impression #2). The ambiance is loud, poppy, and "hip." You better like K-pop if you're coming here. It's not a first-date spot because it's hard to hear each other, but it's a solid place to hang out with friends who like the genre. Will I come back? Not actively. But if someone else suggests it, I won't fight them on it.

It was my very first time going to Komodo and the first time experience was not the greatest. Before I go into my review, I did enjoy the ambiance, decor and food. The food was actually really good and the portions were decent. I ordered the wagyu beef dumplings and garlic noodles for starters. I initially chose the Peking duck and was super excited to try it. This is where it started to downhill... As we were ordering starters and drinks, the drinks came out fairly quick and the starters did take about 15-20 minutes which I understand it was a Saturday night. After most of the appetizers came out, we decided to order our entrees because we noticed how long the appetizers took. About hour and some time goes by, the waiter comes back to tell me they just ran out of Peking duck. Which was disappointing so I quickly ordered the Korean fried chicken. The timing with how they ran out the entrees was a whole mess. There were two food runners that were confused with the food orders. 1 of 8 of my friends got their food way before all of us, we had waited an additional 15 minutes before 2 more entrees came out. Oh! My second appetizer (garlic noodles) still haven't come out yet and some of my friends had their entrees....My Korean fried chicken came out but it was fairly quickly so I'm not sure they just threw it in real quick for an apology of taking so long. Two of the breasts we're hard and tough to cut. So then we waited and waited for my very last friend to get her Lo mein...it was an extra 45 minutes until she was able to get her food!!!!! Unacceptable. I was so irritated about that and just ruined the mood. We were all done eating our food by then. We were already frustrated and ready to go at that point, but as soon as she got her food, the veggies were undercooked and it was an overall upsetting situation. I wish I had a better outcome and better celebration for my birthday. I would only recommend this place if you have nothing to do..because you will be waiting for your food for a long time. I suggest to eat before you go and by the time you digest, your food will be ready
