Veronica at the store said sorry, get your refund from some 3rd party delivery co., we're not correcting or delivering the correct order. She couldn't tell me who the 3rd party was, just refused to give me what I paid for. Disappointing. We're literally out our money, and no recourse for a refund according to Schlotzsky. Schlotzsky's It's winter time. It is time to try some tomato basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich. My friend in Florida who was raised in Texas talks about Schlotzsky's at least once a conversation. I do find the food very filling and enjoyable . The salad was very tasty. The soup was excellent, I just wish I could get more of it. This seems to be one of those places that more people go to the drive-thru then sit inside. Hadn't been to schlotzsky's in forever but sure why, but on Tuesday night after a long 12 hour work day I saw the drive thru sign and pulled in. 1st person on the intercom was a nice man, very patient and kind, then switched to a lady that closed out my order and rang me up! She was amazing too! The sandwich was amazing, better than I've remembered! So I signed up for the app and returned tonight Wednesday for the bogo pizza deal! Was fortunate enough to see the same kind associate that I learned is named Baranica! I only returned to that location because of her outstanding customer service! There are stores closer, but I didn't want to take the chance of being disappointed! So the stemmons location will be my go to a few times a month as I'm traveling home from work! On the way home from one of our weekend afternoon drives around town, we spotted this location on I35 near Empire Central, took the next exit and made a U-turn to get a take home order. Service was fast and friendly; do love drive-thru! Ordered a medium Turkey Original, no salami, extra tomatoes, cup of potato soup and 2 chocolate chip cookies. This medium sandwich is humongous! Fresh tender sourdough bun, generous turkey slices, 3 cheeses, black olives, tomatoes (lots), lettuce and their signature sauce. Added horseradish sauce when I got home. My oh my, couldn't even finish half of this delicious meal; another half for tomorrow. The potato soup was equally delicious; creamy, tender potato chunks, bacon bits & cheese. I'd order this again. The tasty moist cookies had to wait until later; too full to fully enjoy. Had them for a late day snack with a glass of cold milk ! Oh so good, wish I had ordered 2 more. The indoor seating closed at 6pm and we got there around 5:45 pm so they ended up locking us in but they told us they were doing it so no big deal. Been to Schlotzsky's 2 times this week. First trip, I signed up on their mobile app and received a free small original sandwich. I opted out of the lettuce and tomato and asked for extra mayo. I brought my own chips because it wasn't included in the deal but I did get a free small drink ;) My sandwich was good. The texture of the bread was spongey and a little dry, but that's my only complaint. The juice from the meat helped moisturize the bread and as all the components of my sandwich mixed in my mouth it was close to sandwich heaven. Second trip, in the Las Colinas area was even better. I was headed to lunch. I got out and approached the door, which was being held open by an older gentleman. He seemed to be a little shaky holding it so I told him that "I had it". He argued me down and said "you're a lady and I hold doors for ladies, no matter their skin color, I love all ladies". I immediately warmed up to him. We started conversing with each other and he let me know that he recently lost his 65 year old wife three months ago. He told me his world was turned upside down but he was pushing through. Very strong man and very kind. I ended sharing my Yelp deal (buy 32 oz drink and chips, right under $4) for his meal too. We left on good terms. :) I was recommended the turkey bacon sandwich and boy... it was even better than the original. Soooo good that I contemplated going back the next day to repeat my order. It's made by Udi's- most like their hamburger bun available in the frozen section at the grocery store. But, they toast it PERFECTLY at schlotzky's and sometimes put a few pieces of shredded cheese on top, which is a nice touch. Well I'll be dang... I was surprised. I thought this place was just another sandwich shop where you get a loaf of bread with just a slice of turkey in the middle. This spot is right next to Taco Bell and I just couldn't do taco mystery meat for lunch. I ended up here and it even took me a few minutes to decide on my order because can you believe it .... I had options! I ended up with a half salad and half pasta meal. Which was more than half to me because I even took some of my meal to go. The Cajun chicken pasta was good, I could have done with out the sausage that was mixed in but oh well. The avocado turkey salad was good and pretty. The turkey was in cubes which likely screams this processed meat was probably over processed. Hey it's still a chain spot you expect total perfection, but I liked it over all. In the sandwich universe this chain is in the top tier. I am completely lost on why many locations across the US have closed and none close to my home in N.Side of Chicago. First introduced to this chain in MO and then a few visits to one in Glenview, IL before it closed: I find their food and selection far superior to many competitors. If you have not stopped in, please do! Food: I actually prefer the pizza here over the sandwiches and have been known to polish off the entire BBQ chi pizza on my own. Sandwiches are solid as well and come in many varieties and sizes. Service: The staff here is friendly and you always get service with a smile. Overall: My only issue with this location is the small parking lot and the inability to quickly get in and out during busy lunch breaks. 2016 Yelp 100 Challenge Review #69 This is one of my favorite locations though oddly I mainly have been through the drive-thru. When I did go in, the restroom was clean. A big point of emphasis for me. Drive-thru wise, there is never really a wait though I mainly frequent this place on off-peak hours. I know what I want because 9 times out of 10, I am going with the Caprese specialty sandwich. The time is always quick but my food is always fresh. Keep up the good work. Will definitely keep coming back! Plus I love that this location has a check-in offer (free small sandwich with the purchase of a drink and chips) and I also use the Lotz rewards app for more coupons and savings. I like the Pick 2 option too because I am a tweener but I just stick with what I love (see previous mention). read more

My company (Alliance Geotechnical Group) orders from this location all the time and they are wonderful. I placed a large order (we had client's coming) for pick up and it didn't get processed, but as it happens the General Manager was there standing by the door greeting people. I explained my situation and he and his great staff got my order out for me in less than 3 minutes. You know these things happen all the time, but most of the time all you get is a "sorry, we don't have that order". I have never had anyone be more helpful and kind.
