I've not eaten at the Gainesville, Tx location but this o e of my favorite sandwich shops. The fiesta chicken sandwich is my favorite on the menu.

Schlotzsky's It's winter time. It is time to try some tomato basil soup and grilled cheese sandwich. My friend in Florida who was raised in Texas talks about Schlotzsky's at least once a conversation. I do find the food very filling and enjoyable . The salad was very tasty. The soup was excellent, I just wish I could get more of it. This seems to be one of those places that more people go to the drive-thru then sit inside. Definitely have plenty of seating on a Sunday afternoon. My overall experience was positive not to mention they also have cinnamon rolls

I've been craving my favorite sandwich at Schlotzsky's for weeks. On the way home from one of our weekend afternoon drives around town, we spotted this location on I35 near Empire Central, took the next exit and made a U-turn to get a take home order. Service was fast and friendly; do love drive-thru! Ordered a medium Turkey Original, no salami, extra tomatoes, cup of potato soup and 2 chocolate chip cookies. This medium sandwich is humongous! Fresh tender sourdough bun, generous turkey slices, 3 cheeses, black olives, tomatoes (lots), lettuce and their signature sauce. Added horseradish sauce when I got home. My oh my, couldn't even finish half of this delicious meal; another half for tomorrow. The potato soup was equally delicious; creamy, tender potato chunks, bacon bits & cheese. I'd order this again. The tasty moist cookies had to wait until later; too full to fully enjoy. Had them for a late day snack with a glass of cold milk ! Oh so good, wish I had ordered 2 more. I've been to several Schlotzsky's and always found the consistency to be the same; delicious, fresh ingredients and great friendly service. Craving satisfied for a few months!

We were pretty much the only ones there. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The indoor seating closed at 6pm and we got there around 5:45 pm so they ended up locking us in but they told us they were doing it so no big deal. Our sandwiches were good but mine needed a little more sauce on it. It was a touch dry. Over all, it was good

Been to Schlotzsky's 2 times this week. First trip, I signed up on their mobile app and received a free small original sandwich. I opted out of the lettuce and tomato and asked for extra mayo. I brought my own chips because it wasn't included in the deal but I did get a free small drink ;) My sandwich was good. The texture of the bread was spongey and a little dry, but that's my only complaint. The juice from the meat helped moisturize the bread and as all the components of my sandwich mixed in my mouth it was close to sandwich heaven. Second trip, in the Las Colinas area was even better. I was headed to lunch. I got out and approached the door, which was being held open by an older gentleman. He seemed to be a little shaky holding it so I told him that "I had it". He argued me down and said "you're a lady and I hold doors for ladies, no matter their skin color, I love all ladies". I immediately warmed up to him. We started conversing with each other and he let me know that he recently lost his 65 year old wife three months ago. He told me his world was turned upside down but he was pushing through. Very strong man and very kind. I ended sharing my Yelp deal (buy 32 oz drink and chips, right under $4) for his meal too. We left on good terms. :) I was recommended the turkey bacon sandwich and boy... it was even better than the original. Soooo good that I contemplated going back the next day to repeat my order. Obviously filled with turkey deli meat and tender, crispy bacon! Yeah... I know, you should definitely get this sandwich. It's a good lunch stop for sure.

Half pasta and salad deal. Salad: Turkey Avocado and Cajun Chicken Pasta.

Well I'll be dang... I was surprised. I thought this place was just another sandwich shop where you get a loaf of bread with just a slice of turkey in the middle. This spot is right next to Taco Bell and I just couldn't do taco mystery meat for lunch. I ended up here and it even took me a few minutes to decide on my order because can you believe it .... I had options! I ended up with a half salad and half pasta meal. Which was more than half to me because I even took some of my meal to go. The Cajun chicken pasta was good, I could have done with out the sausage that was mixed in but oh well. The avocado turkey salad was good and pretty. The turkey was in cubes which likely screams this processed meat was probably over processed. Hey it's still a chain spot you expect total perfection, but I liked it over all. The dining area was clean and there is a patio. Overall great place for me to get away from coworkers.

Always a great place for lunch. From the time you walk in the door at this location it feels like home. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the potatoes soup which I love. It filled me and warmed me at the same time. Couldn't find a better place to have lunch in this area.

(just a fun fact) They seem pretty proud of that fact too, considering there's now a giant cowboy hat sculpture, "The Big Hat," right across the street. It's impossible to miss. Anyway, we weren't there for hats. We were there for pizza. First, a public service announcement. Figure out what you want before you walk in because the menu is only available through a QR code, and it is awful. You scroll. Then you scroll some more. Then somehow you're still scrolling. It feels less like ordering dinner and more like reading the terms and conditions for a mortgage. The two of us ordered a large pepperoni pizza, which turned out to be ambitious. We ate leftovers for days. Next time I'd definitely order the smaller size. My only real complaint about the pizza itself was the pepperoni. There was just TOO MUCH of it. Sure, I could have asked for "light pepperoni", but then I'd be paying full price for less topping, and that just goes against my personal philosophy. I'd love to see a "light pepperoni" option priced accordingly. ALSO not it is the good and greasy cupping pepperoni, kinda spicy. The pizza was also a little unevenly prepared. About half had a thicker crust while the other half was noticeably thinner. I definitely preferred the thinner side. Service was perfectly fine, the bathrooms were clean and nice, and the pizza was good overall. Just be prepared for the QR code marathon before you get to enjoy it.

Our standard order is a large three topping with pepperoni, real Italian sausage and onions. You've got to try onions as that touch of sweet helps with all the savory flavors. We always include a side salad with their homemade blue cheese dressing for a small charge $2.55! You've can also purchase their homemade salad dressings by the pint or quart. The pizza takes a minute to get made so the salad calms our appetite. I swear it's cheaper to get a glass of their house wine than to get a glass of tea so don't hesitate to order. This place is a definite bargain on many items. Now the pizza is just spectacular. The Italian sausage is the real thing that has been sliced from the links not the sausage "turds" you get with fast food pizza. The crust is perfectly yeasty and the thickness on the medium side. They also serve on a rack at the table to keep the crust fresh. Since we order a large it is a knife and fork pizza with the heavy cheese and toppings. Another favorite dish is their lasagna. I've lost count how many times I've ordered at the restaurant and to go. It comes with a choice of salad or minestrone soup. The soup is homemade and simply the best warming dish - a hug in a bowl loaded with veggies. Service is always friendly. The murals of Italian scenes and the wine bottles hanging from the ceiling add a fun touch. Just don't forget to try the pizza and you won't have regrets. She never even looked at us or said. "Hi...just give me a minute and I'll be right with you.." 2nd host came to the counter (more than 5 minutes passed as we watched them buzz around and still not say hello). She finally looked up and said, "2"? Then seated us almost silently. We waited another 10 mins for someone to welcome us, say hi, or bring water, then a waiter appeared with a rushed, "Are you ready to order?" Umm....how about drinks? Specials? Anything?? We wanted a beer and were told the taps were empty and the only bottled option was Shiner. Rough start all around. Honestly, we were tempted to leave. It was that uncomfortable. We didn't. For the food: 1. Chopped salad was good, though it's not chopped at all, just a tossed salad. 2. Gnocci was delicious 3. Pizza was very tasty but the crust was strangely soggy/chewy. Maybe that's the style, but I kind of expected a bit of a crunch to it. The flavor all around was great. Our waiter disappeared (I'm assuming his shift ended?) without warning or letting us know someone else would step in. If I had to sum it up, it was almost like we were invisible the whole time we were there. Service can make or break an experience--it broke it for us. I'd consider trying the Richardson location in the future, but I think it'll be a while.
