    My Subaru Forester sent me a Valentine

    I love my Subaru Forester. It sent me a Valentine before Valentine's Day this morning. This car saved my life last year in a serious rear end collision. I will never buy another vehicle other than a Forester.

    Coolant was well below low as you can see here... after paying money for a "coolant flush"

    Well, where do I begin? Brought my 2017 outback in for service on Saturday 11/02/24 for 90,000 service. The service was a brake fluid flush, coolant flush, and air fuel induction cleaning for a whopping 596.49. I drive home and Monday (today) I look under the hood, the coolant level is well below low on the reservoir and the coolant reservoir cap is open. No splash of coolant inside the engine compartment because the reservoir was so low and the technician never did the work. So I look around the engine and guess what, there is no dust disturbed where the air induction cleaning should have happened. I take pictures and call the dealership service department and tell them what they did not do. Got a call from my service advisor that "assisted" me and he was not helpful. Said he would notify his manager. We'll hours go by and still no contact from the service manager. We'll, this leads me to say these people are scam mechanics. Take your vehicle somewhere else where you can trust. And always look under the hood before leaving the dealership. ​

    As far as car dealerships and buying a car goes, we had a pretty good experience here. Jeff was really knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. We ended up being able to get them down to a reasonable price. They also let us put $6.5k on a credit card which was way more than the Subaru dealership on Independence. We couldn't be happier with our new car. We had a good experience here so we would come back again.

    I wish I could give more than five stars. Subaru South Blvd is amazing. I was looking at purchasing a Toyota and went to try a Subaru just to see. Doug Holden was so thorough in explaining the different models and let me ask lots of questions and test drive a car. I was hooked as soon as I got the car out on the road. When I came back in, there was no pressure. Nancy in finance made the purchasing process so easy. And when I picked up the car, Leah took the time to explain everything and sync my phone to the car. Everyone at the dealership is friendly, caring, and they don't pressure you at all. I love my new Outback and Subaru South Blvd is my new favorite dealership!

    My wife and I were looking at a used Subaru Outback at another dealership (not a Subaru dealer) and it was the typical high pressure annoying sales tactics. I called Subaru South BLvd to see what kind of offer they had on new ones and got transferred to Patrick a manager. Not only was he extremely kind but made me feel I had to stop by to see what they had to offer. We made the drive and when we arrived at the store Patrick introduced us to Doug so he could help us out. Doug was super knowledgeable and very passionate about Subaru's which made our experience even better. After working some numbers doing some paperwork (which Doug made painless) we came to a final deal that we couldn't pass up. Malik gave us a quick, flawless and entertaining run through finance and then back to Doug for delivery. Not only was our experience fun and pleasant but Doug took the time to make sure my wife and I had a thorough knowledge of all of the features of our new car before leaving the lot. There was a little glue residue from the protection paper from shipping on the hood so he got it back to detail right away to make sure it was perfect before we drove away. Keep in mind this was 9pm since we didn't get there till later! RC the general manager made an appearance to make sure it was perfect himself and only a short minute later we were on our way! As a previous car salesman myself and a purchaser of many vehicles in the past I can say hands down these guys are some of the best! 110% would recommend this store for your next vehicle. You cannot get a better experience or feel more welcomed and valued any where else! Thanks again to Doug and the whole South Blvd Subaru team for taking such great care of us.

    Five stars for Mason and the entire service team at Volkswagen of South Charlotte…read more I was overdue for an oil change and was pleasantly surprised that they were able to fit me in with a same-day appointment. That convenience alone earned major points. From the moment I pulled into the service drive, the experience felt organized and professional. The covered, air-conditioned check-in area is a nice touch, and Mason greeted me almost immediately. He was friendly, courteous, and professional throughout the visit. In addition to my oil change, I asked him to check two concerns: my key fob had somehow allowed the doors to lock with the keys inside the vehicle, and the power driver's seat had started making a loud grinding noise whenever I adjusted it. Mason made sure both issues were inspected. While I waited, I settled into one of the nicest dealership lounges I've visited. There were comfortable chairs and tables with plenty of room to work, complimentary bottled water, and an impressive self-service coffee station with specialty drinks, hot chocolate, and lattes. They also offered snacks including BelVita Cinnamon Brown Sugar breakfast biscuits (my favorite), granola bars, cookies, and mints. It made the wait comfortable, and I was able to get work done. The service took a little over an hour, and Mason kept me updated along the way, which I really appreciated. He also honored an oil change coupon I found. Even better, Volkswagen of South Charlotte accepts coupons from other Volkswagen dealerships, which is a great customer-friendly policy. When the inspection was complete, Mason explained everything clearly. The key fob checked out normally, so there wasn't anything to repair. The grinding noise under my driver's seat turned out to be a failing seat frame assembly. The repair estimate was significant, so I decided to leave it alone for now and simply avoid adjusting the seat unless necessary. I appreciated that there was no pressure to authorize the repair--just honest information so I could make an informed decision. As an added bonus, they washed my Tiguan before returning it, and Mason personally walked me back to my vehicle and thanked me for coming in. I choose to have my maintenance performed at the dealership because I like maintaining a complete service history for resale value. Between the dealership records and my Carfax Car Care maintenance log, I know the vehicle's maintenance history is well documented. Overall, this was an excellent service experience. Professional staff, honest communication, a comfortable waiting area, fair pricing with coupons, and quality customer service from start to finish. Thank you, Mason, for making what could have been an ordinary oil change such a pleasant experience. I'll definitely be back.

    My experience was both good and bad. First off the bad. I purchased a used 2011 BMW Z4. I was told…read morethat it went through their service department inspection and that no issues were found. When I received the vehicle(I purchased out of state, that's why I relied on their service dept. inspection), I had it PA inspected. They noted leaking front struts. I pulled the wheels to check them and saw oily sludge buildup on one strut and minor leakage on the other. These struts are adaptive and cost 750.00 each plus installation. I feel that I was misled and their is no way they would have missed this if they truly inspected it and noted no leakage on their report notes. I have attached pictures of the leakage, which were taken two weeks and two hundred miles since I received it. I am pretty sure that this did not occur since I received the car. Their response to my complaint was that it was sold as is, and no leakage was noted. I copied the owner and the service manager with their response, and did not receive a response from either of the two. On a positive note, their internet salesperson Sean, was a bright spot going through this process.

My first impression was OK that I was talking…read moreto one guy who seemed pretty decent to talk to, but then they kind of passed me onto another guy. I reserved a 4Runner in March for April delivery date which it came in. So I went and you never did everything picked it up. Everyone in finance was friendly. I traded in a car and they transferred the tag when I traded in a car. When I sold my car, it was about 35 days out from when the next payment was due they rest assure that it will be taken care of so forth and so on fast-forward here we are 38 days and the car payments past due, so I reached out to my sales person and I'm like hey you know my car payment hasn't been taken care of you know can we look into this and basically I was told don't worry about it. They got it and I was like OK. I left it alone than another week went by and nothing was done so I followed up again and I was basically told that I need to let them do their job and that I shouldn't be worrying about that stuff and I'm like thinking to myself that this is on my credit and you're gonna cause it to be a late payment because the dealership didn't pay for it on time so he finally reached out to finance three weeks after the conversation started and then finance verified that the check was lost and never cashed so if I didn't reach out to them, then they would've never had that car payment paid for so I found that very unprofessional. Fast-forward to October 13, I reached out to the same dealer because I was like hey I don't need four cars. Let me see if I can sell the 4Runner and see what they were offer for it. The conversation started and it was like why do you want to sell? You know the typical sales person then I sent over some pictures things like that and since then as of October 25, I have not heard anything from Koob or even a response to let me know what was was going on I was even considering maybe downgrading to a car maybe like a Camry but nothing from him since then. I don't know of what type of atmosphere or customer service is going on at that dealership, but I do feel very unpleased with everything from both interactions from the same sales person. I may even take my car elsewhere to get serviced and cancel all the contracts that I have at this dealership.

    I purchased a 2023 Chevrolet Bison Edition from Classic in December 2025, and it has been the worst…read morevehicle-buying experience I've ever had. The problems started immediately. The truck had an open recall that the dealership claimed had been repaired before the sale, as well as a cracked windshield. They promised to replace the windshield after delivery, but when they picked up my truck, they left me with a Chevy Trax loaner instead of a comparable truck. After waiting over a week with no communication, no returned phone calls, and no updates, I finally threatened to contact the BBB before anyone responded. I was then told the glass technician was sick, meaning I'd have to wait another week. When my truck was finally returned, they hadn't replaced the windshield--they simply patched the crack and expected me to accept it. While the truck was in their possession, my husband repeatedly reported a severe shaking while driving. Despite multiple conversations about the issue, no one addressed it or even acknowledged it. The truck was returned with the exact same problem. Communication only got worse. My tax paperwork was inside the truck while it was at the dealership, preventing me from registering it. I repeatedly called and left messages with no response. I submitted proof that my taxes had been paid on January 10, 2026, but nothing was processed. My temporary tag eventually expired because the dealership failed to complete the paperwork. When I finally reached someone, they admitted they had no good explanation for why nothing had been done. Fortunately, I have every text message documenting this. Then came the biggest issue. On February 13, my family traveled to the mountains for my birthday weekend. The very next morning, Valentine's Day, the engine locked up while we were driving. We were stranded in the mountains with our children in the snow. Ironically, the recall they supposedly fixed before selling the truck involved the engine. I tried using the expensive Platinum Package I purchased, which included roadside assistance. Instead of helping, I was told they couldn't verify my account and that I'd have to wait until Monday. Waiting until Monday wasn't exactly an option while stranded on a mountain with my family. I called the finance manager, Cole, who sold me the package, but that didn't help either. I had to arrange and pay for my own tow truck, lost over $200 in prepaid snow tubing, and, more importantly, lost valuable family time. The nearest dealership was an hour away. I rode there in the tow truck while my family walked back to our rental cabin. Once I arrived, I discovered there were no loaner vehicles available, Enterprise was closed until Monday, and there were no Uber or Lyft drivers in the area. I was stranded again with no transportation back to my family. With no other practical option, I ended up buying another truck simply so I could get home. I then requested a refund for the nearly $12,000 Platinum Package since it clearly failed to provide the services I paid for and was still within the cancellation period. I submitted all required documentation on February 24, 2026. After receiving no response, I followed up multiple times by email and phone. Finally, on April 17, Cole informed me that the controller had quit and my refund had never been processed. He assured me he personally took the paperwork upstairs and that it would be handled that day. Today is June 29, 2026, and I am still waiting. Even after being promised a check in the mail, nothing has arrived. This entire experience has been defined by poor communication, broken promises, and a complete lack of accountability. From selling me a truck with unresolved issues, to failing to honor their commitments, to leaving my family stranded and delaying a legitimate refund for months, this dealership has consistently failed to do the right thing. I will never purchase another vehicle from Classic, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering doing business with them to look elsewhere.

It's so refreshing to know there are business owners who are not trying to pull one over on someone, especially in this economy! Within the past two years, I got a 2023 Volkswagen. My dad taught me about cars growing up, and since we always had American vehicles, we just took them to dealerships. Late December, my car had less than 17,000 miles and the VW dealership tried to charge me for new rotors and brakes which were over $700. Let's just say I definitely wasn't afraid to bring this up with my advisor since my rotors were clean. He then told me I just needed brakes which were almost $400. I might be a young woman, but I certainly do not like dishonesty ...maybe they did not expect me to know some basic things about cars. But I called up Arthur's shop right afterwards knowing that his shop was established and asked if he had some time to get me in to give me a second opinion. He got my car in right away and he took care of me. He got my brakes changed, confirmed my rotors were good and that they didn't need to be touched, and did so for a reasonable price. Highly recommend this shop for honest, good quality work and you're supporting a friendly local business. This is definitely going to be my new place!

After asking a few people for recommendations, I decided to try Trinity Auto. Arthur was so incredibly knowledgeable, extremely kind, AND charged me less for parts, labor, and fixing a leak that caused the mess than the dealership wanted for one of the parts alone. Finding Arthur was an absolute life saver and I'll never take my car anywhere else from now on.
