Rustam & his brother continue to give outstanding service. I was heading north to Monument Pass on I-25, 10/28, ~2200 hrs. Just as I increased elevation both the check engine & AT lights came on. Towed it (again) to a mechanic in Parker who advised it was a transmission problem now, they said. (They took 2 times to get a quality torque converter & fix a slight leak). Fed up, I paid to have it towed to Suby with 29 years experience ONLY working on Subarus. This was on MY DIME because tow operators won't tow a vehicle with the same problem to 2 different shops. Rustam's brother put it on a lift & showed me where tranny fluid was dripping from the seams between the tranny & the engine, and fluid had scored on the exhaust system. The Parker mechanic said the tranny was over 3 quarts low. NOT SO!!! Upshot was the seals to the tranny were blown out due to overfilling! An important side-note is, Suby is up front with you!!! Rustam's brother said, yes, they could replace seals, but folks in my situation had seals replaced, & the issue cropped up again. Then one would initially save $500 over a tranny replacement, OR, you take your chances & if it fails you spend the full amount for the tranny replacement anyway. Honesty like this is almost non-existent in this day & age. I went for the tranny replacement & got my 110K mile tranny replaced with a 60K mile unit, 1 year parts & labor included. I was driving a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek preparing it to sell. I wanted to fix some minor issues and researched the crap out of different mechanics in the area. Went to 3 different car repair shops and after driving through the shadiest parts of Denver, getting extravagant quotes and meeting some interesting characters, I found Islom and his team at Subie Auto Repair. You pull into their parking area and already see cars lifted up high and his mechanics working hard but also having fun. You are immediate greeted by Islom and welcomed into the lounge/waiting area. The lounge area is clean, tidy and most importantly, air conditioned! (It's 93 in Aurora... but feels like 100) There is a large flat screen tv with netflix that is available as you wait for your services. As the owner and lead mechanic at his shop, he can be seen answering phones, texting customers and walking back and forth working on all the vehicles. This guy is non stop! It's amazing! Islom is friendly, nice and checks in on every repair that he does to make sure it's what you need. Subie's Auto Repair saved me over $500 and gave a 1 year/12K warranty on their work! I had a wonderful experience at Subie and just had to share with the yelpers out there. If you're looking for a no-nonsense car repair/maintenance shop- look no further! My Subaru Forester was due for its 3 year maintenance check up and routine oil change. I used their contact form online and was able to speak to the staff over the phone about my Subaru needs. The staff here are very committed to ensuring they provide quality services at reasonable and affordable prices. I asked for a quote and they were honest with their rate. I was very shocked by how vastly different I was treated here versus short line/schomp Subaru. I had previously been going to (now) Schomp for the past two years and they quoted me $200 more than Subie did. That was really the last straw because I was always frustrated with Schomp's service scheduling (always busy, never accommodating) and completely ridiculous rates. Thankfully I found Subie Auto on yelp and I don't ever have to go back. Subie is moving their location but I'm going to continue to return as a customer because the staff are trustworthy, honest and caring. At the end of the day, that's all I care about. I've been taking my two Outbacks to Subie Auto Repair for the past several years. I was impressed when they immediately (and successfully) diagnosed a leak that my regular high-end shop couldn't fix AND they fixed it at a much cheaper price. Twice, Rustam has diagnosed a problem for me in literally one or two minutes; these guys know Subies! Only one time did I have to take a car back to re-fix an issue, and it was due to a pernicious emissions problem, but it was resolved in the end. They will also sometimes fix something for free if it only takes them a few minutes. They used to be located on Iliff, pretty close to where I live. I didn't actually experience the excellent service myself, but since I found this place for my girlfriend who took her car to this place for a repair, I feel that it is right for me to leave a positive review. My girlfriend's Subaru was making a loss screeching noise when it starts and when turning the steering wheel. I had an idea what was wrong and didn't want to do the work myself, so I found her this place. A sweet innocent girl like her walking into auto repair shops is like a fawn walking into the woods full of mountain lions ready to devour her! I was a little worried about her taking her car in herself, but had to work that day. This place was super honest, told her the alternator belt needed to be replaced and it cost a whopping $30!!! She called me to confirm before letting them do the work. I was at disbelief at the repair cost and contemplated that $30 is worth a shot so I gave her the go ahead! Sure enough it was the belt and it solved the problem! Car trouble is never fun, but when you have an honest repair shop like this place, it sure makes the problem less dreadful. The guys at Subie Auto Repair are the best. First, I took my car to Firestone and was told it would be $100.00 just to tell me what was wrong. If the computer needed to be cleared, they said they would have to send me to the dealership. Therefore, I called the dealership and they could not get me for almost two weeks. After checking out the reviews of Subie Auto Repair, I thought I give them a try. After this interaction, SUBIE AUTO REPAIR will be my go to place. When I bought in my 2012 Subaru Outback, they checked the codes and told me they think the computer just needed to be cleared. While everyone else would have charged me 100+ to do this, these guys would not take my money. They totally could have gotten money out of me and made up some BS; however, you can just tell these guys have integrity. Needed a new timing belt on my 99 subi, everyone i called for a "quote" would be all wishy washy and would not give a real number. I was getting ranges from 6-8 hundred dollars with the "if we need to add a new water pump, idler, ect..... it could be a couple hundred dollars more. Found these guys on craigslist and they stated "$445 INCLUDING WATER PUMP AND THERMOSTAT, RADIATOR FLUSH, DRIVE BELTS" Thats an incredible price. I did that and put new brakes on the front (new pads and rotors) and a oil change and tire rotation, all that and out the door in 3 hours with a grand total of $535. Saved me about 5 hundred dollars. Super nice guys, when you call the number a guy named matt answers and he didnt say "subi repair" just a heads up if you think you called the wrong number. Pretty legit spot. I was hesitant, of course, as I always am with new car repair places. I only trust the best with my Subaru so after some extensive Yelp research I found this place. Matt couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. They got the car on a lift and pointed out each reason for my horrible oil leak. I was also due for my timing belt to be replaced and it only made sense since they were taking apart most of the engine as was to go ahead and do this repair too. The timing belt was $595 with thermostat something replacement (sorry, totally clueless when it comes to this shit). They had my car for two days and offered to loan me out one of their cars to use during that time. They also have a one year warranty (or 12k miles) on their work in case anything goes wrong. Took my 2010 Subaru to two shops and they both wanted $2500 for head gasket repair. Finally someone recommended that I go here and I paid $1700 in total for all of my repairs (including oil change, new battery, timing belt and head gasket). Ismail let us drop off my car when they weren't even open and kept me updated on my car's status via text. I have not been this satisfied with customer service in a very long time! After seeing all the positive reviews on Yelp I made my appointment for the 19th for a diagnostic check at 7am and assumed to get a call probably around 3-6 p.m that day however I received no call so I called the next morning. When I called I spoke to the manager about why I have not received any call or why the 45min-1 hour job hasn't been completed yet, He then told me he was sorry but they haven't finished doing the diagnostic. I couldn't believe it took a day and half to do a little diagnostic check. When they called me at 1 pm to tell me the car is done they said my catalytic convertor was bad when I asked if they opened it up or did any testing on it, they said NO it just needs to be replaced. How can you assume it needs to be replaced if you haven't done the proper testing for it!!! I feel like they are bs..ing me and never really looked at the car. In the end, worst experience ever, to make things worse the two mechanics who were there when I picked up my keys had me wait 5 mins while they were surfing the internet and then made me wait another min, while the guy was doing nothing, when I asked for my keys he gave it to me with two fingers and didn't goodbye or anything. I've been here twice so far for a couple of jobs on my Outback XT and Legacy GT. They did a great job at a cheaper price than dealerships. It's definitely a mom & pop garage feel to it rather than a dealership service department. In others words, it's not new and fancy, but who cares. These guys will save you hundreds of dollars while performing top quality repair work. What I like most about Subie Auto is that the mechanics are honest. They will tell you if something REALLY needs to be taken care of or if it's just something minor. Whereas a dealership always makes everything sound like you must repair it ASAP or your car will break down. If your Subaru needs any repairs, I recommend getting a quote from Subie Auto to compare with anywhere else you have been going to. I had my car's entire cooling system replaced by this shop and within five months all of the replaced parts have failed. The radiator they put into my vehicle was used, and I have confirmed this with other mechanics. While I am uncertain if the other parts where also used I can only assume so. Okay--brought in my Subie (1998 Forester) for a second time, this time to fix shifting and tranny issues. The boys outdid themselves by getting the 4WD up and running by replacing various solenoids, replacing fluids, etc. They also replaced a faulty brake switch that was preventing me from shifting out of park AND which caused my rear braking lights to fail- really safe, huh? Finally, and most important, the annoying, blinking AT Oil Temp light has finally stopped--hooray. Admittedly, 4 bills was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but considering the necessity of the repair, the amount of labor performed and the cost of the parts--I got a slammin deal. I used to go to these guys all the time, but recently their service has been horrible. The last time I dropped my car off, they had it for 3 days and claimed that it would be $1000 to fix the issue. After I got my car back it still had the same problem. When I tried to talk to them about it, they yelled at me and told me "it's an old car" and "they didn't have time to look into the problem more because they were too busy". I took it directly up to Strictly Automotive and dropped my car off for 1 day and they had everything fixed and working for under $300. If you take your car here, you're doing so at your own risk. Sometimes you'll get great affordable service and other times you'll just get ripped off. read more

Didn't fill my car with enough oil after an oil change recently. When I called to ask what type of oil they put in, I got three different guesses and then a shaky final answer. Total oil change ended up coming out to $65 + $20 for two quarts I had to buy on my own. Won't be going back here again. read more

I Recently purchased an almost new 2014 Subaru through his wholesale business that had been in an accident. Took it to a mechanic for inspection and he said it was one of the better repair jobs he'd ever seen. Car is immaculate and runs perfectly. Islom was honest re: the car's history and the work that had been done to it. Since the vehicle only had one key FOB, Islom offered to get a new one for me at cost and program it for free (saving me almost 50 percent over what the dealer would charge). Overall, a really great experience with these guys. I'm guessing the bad reviews were from people who can't handle it when their not getting their asses kissed. Glad to see others have had a good experience, and that is partly why i decided to take my car there to get serviced. As I said i recently took my car here to get its first large service done out side of the dealership. I read multiple reviews and was confident on going to this location. Sadly it did not take long to begin questioning myself. They originally told me my car would be done by the end of the day. I never received a phone call at the end of the day. So at that point I called them only for them to tell me it wouldn't be done until the following day. not exactly convenient considering I had to work the next day. I did not receive a phone call until about 1pm. At that point i was relieved to finally have my car back and to know it was done and over with. The day after getting my car back i was washing my car only to find out they did not put my splash guard/skid plate back on my car. I immediately called them only for them to tell me don't regularly put them back on the cars due to 1 ease of access and 2 "your car doesn't need it and it helps your car breathe". I noticed an immediate drop in my gas mileage in just the day and a half I'd had it back. also my car has no issue with over heating, and the air intake works just fine so when I was told it help my car breathe it only told me they are lazy. I asked the guy for my part and he said they had it there and i could come get it if i wanted to after be repeatedly told i don't need it. I arrived to there shop shortly after to retrieve the piece to may car. At that point i had to ask them to put the part back on to my car, and was told that they were to busy to help me. they said they would be happy to put it on my car the next time I brought my car by to get its oil changed. Sadly for me I will never be returning and i'll be happy to put the part on my self, just so i don't have to deal with them again. Called to get a price to replace a lug nug bolt that got stripped from a rookie tech at a friends shop I usually do business with, didn't want to take it back to them to fix so I went with awesome little shop. This shop was 20 dollars cheaper then going to the Mike Shaw dealership to fix and I didn't even have to set up an appointment! Was done in less then a hour it felt. Staff was friendly and the shop was clean. I'm very picky with who does work on my 2012 WRX, I notice all changes made when I take it in for maintenance. This of course was a simple fix, something I could of done myself, but being with no jack other then the one for the spare tire, which is not a safe choice other then for changing a flat tire and it being only 20 degrees outside, I decided to give these guys a shot and I am pleased, would definitely do work with them again.
