Made reservations here with my friend to eat before we went to a concert and it was a great choice! The staff was super friendly and made suggestions for us to eat some of the best fresh pasta I've had in a while. Calamari for the app and I also had a Caesar salad with a side of anchovies and they did not skimp on me! It was a Thursday 5pm reservation and the live musician at the piano was superb. The whole atmosphere was so nice I can see going for a solo date and sitting in the all seasons room looking out at the city as the sun goes down. Just wonderful. read more

I just wanted to stop in and say Subito has become a core memory in my relationship. It was where we had our first day and celebrated our one year anniversary. Every time we go, the staff is so nice and I wanted to share how on our one year anniversary they gave us complementary chocolate covered strawberries and champagne as a gift. Every time we go, there's great music and the vibes are low-key. It's very personable. I just wish they had a bigger menu selection. Took a dear friend here to celebrate her dinner. We both really enjoyed it. We had brussel sprouts, oysters on the half shell, clams, cacio e pepe with shrimp and gelato. The cocktail we both got was called She Hath Wings served in a glass that was shaped like a bird almost completely enclosed. What a presentation! Never seen anything like it. The vibe of the restaurant is elevated and classy. The area we were dining in was private, calm, and intimate. The Burrata Al Tartufo was decent but probably wouldn't order it again. The Ravioli Doppio was a tasty. I was a huge fan of the lemon ricotta. There were parts of the ravioli that felt super doughy with no filling. That being said, the parts that had filling was incredible. The lamb was tender, juicy, and the pesto was unique and delicious. We came here for brunch with friends after another friend recommended it to us. It's tucked away inside the hotel and is beautifully decorated upon arrival. Parking is kind of a hassle if you don't do valet, but my husband was able to snag a spot on 4th street. The hostess weirdly sat us at a table for 5 even though we only had 4 people. It ended up being too big and hard to hear each other over the lovely, but loud piano playing that was happening. I wanted the food to be good after looking at the menu and reading reviews, but it just wasn't. We could have stayed at home and made better brunch for far cheaper. Also, they said they were out of biscuits .... I could have whipped up a delicious batch of biscuits in less than 15 minutes, so that felt odd. I visited Subito at Lyle Park last weekend for the "tea experience," celebrating 2 birthdays in our party of 3. OpenTable's description highlighted a luxurious tea service with Churchill's Fine Teas and an artful array of seasonal pastries, macarons, and savory bites for $50 per adult. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of these expectations. From the start, there was confusion about pricing. A staff member initially told me the $50 fee applied to the entire party, then later admitted she didn't know the cost of the tea when I called to ask questions. A few days before our reservation, the same person incorrectly adjusted our party size, requiring multiple follow-up calls to confirm our booking. Arrival was chaotic. No valet attendant was present, and it wasn't clear that self-parking was unavailable. Inside, the hostess struggled to locate our reservation and appeared surprised we were there for tea. While the lobby and dining area are elegant and sophisticated, the front-of-house staff seemed unprepared and unsure about the tea service. Tea arrived after a wait, but the food followed even later. There was no inquiry about dietary restrictions or preferences. Tea sandwiches were exclusively seafood-based (salmon & crab salad), leaving two guests with only sweets to enjoy. The crab salad was overly heavy on onion and bread, and while the sweets were good, they could not make up for the lack of options for non-fish eaters. For $50 per person, a large portion of the menu was inaccessible to part of our party, which felt surprising and limiting. The food felt hastily assembled rather than thoughtfully curated. Using an OT reward certificate caused additional confusion, requiring managerial intervention despite prior notification. Parking was overcharged at $14 instead of the $12 listed online. The experience did not reflect the advertised luxury. Other Cincinnati venues offer tea at lower prices with far better hospitality and attention to detail. Excellent, excellent experience at Subito. I wasn't sure what to get but I asked my waiter for a recommendation and he was very thorough describing all the dishes and truly went above and beyond. I wish I remembered his name. He really sold me on the Saltimbocca so I went with that. This dish is one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The chicken was juicy, and the sauce I could drink. It took everything in me not to lick the plate clean. I will be thinking about this dish for a long time and can't wait to get it again. Also I was sitting in the back room that had a great view of the city. I wish I had pictures to show. The ambiance was amazing and they had live music which was also phenomenal. My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at Súbito last month and WOW we were blown away by the service!!! We felt like the only people in the restaurant and Gina, our server, made our experience so memorable! From the champagne toasts to the signed card to the polaroid pics and special dessert from the chef - we were in AWE from start to finish! Súbito also has some staples that I think are the best in the city. Get these on your next visit: brussel sprouts, pepperoni and honey pizza, shrimp scampi. Sooooo so good and flavorful. Beautiful restaurant, outstanding service. Unfortunately, the bolognaise was under salted and over peppered. Also, the consistency wasn't hearty like a traditional bolognaise. Been wanting to try this place, but wasn't thrilled. The service was friendly and the ambiance was nice, but the food was hit or miss. We went for restaurant week to try the whole experience. I liked my caprese salad, but his Caesar salad was just okay. He was not a fan of his lobster pasta, and I thought my Chicken Saltimbocca was just okay. The dessert was pretty basic, but not bad. Especially for the price, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. There are several better Italian options in the area at similar or better price points. read more

Wonderful ambiance and good selection of food! I tried Subito for a quick bite after a long flight from a business trip. Overall, I felt the food and experience were quite good. Located within a hotel lobby, this restaurant offers Italian cuisine like pizza, pasta, salad, fish/meat entree. There are nice table services in the dining room, and a more casual bar area with big screen TV with sports. When I arrived, the hostess greeted me warmly, and I was offered a nice table. The server was very helpful and brought over complimentary bread/butter/olive oil. For the entree, I picked the shrimp linguine for $31. It was in a semi spicy pesto sauce with generous servings of shrimp. It was delicious, and the portion was just right. The ambiance of the restaurant felt semi formal. There were couples coming in for their anniversaries and business dinner being conducted in another dining room. The service was a bit slow, but my server was very friendly and helpful. Great place for a quiet sit-down meal with good selections of entrees. read more

The service was incredible, though I did get a little slower as the restaurant got busier, which is to be expected. The bread service was delicious. Definitely ask for this along with the accompanying oil. The restaurant week cocktail was perfectly balanced and tart as well as sweet. I enjoyed the lobster ravioli and hope they decide to add this to the regular menu as I will return for it. Dessert was a delight. The weather was a little rainy, which didn't allow for outdoor seating, but I would enjoy doing that in the future. read more

Did an early Sunday "brunch" at 9am. Place wasn't too crowded but definitely had some customers. Service was far better than other reviews had led us to expect, but we didn't care too much as we didn't have much on the agenda for the day. Everything was great! Even the coffee and the cranberry juice of all things seemed better than expected. Even things like the side of fruit coming out of the kitchen looked amazing! Our table had the Kale & Beet salad, Banana Bread French Toast which was amazing, Uova Il'Inferno (a spicy egg and tomato dish with bread shared by the table, so fantastic), and Cornetto Americano sandwich. my experience with subito was incredibly disappointing. i had a reservation a month in advance for their weekend tea service. the place was pretty empty but still took us about 15 minutes to be served. as far as their tea service goes, the tea leaves were absolutely burnt, and then the tray they bring was very lack luster with what appeared to be macarons, chocolate, pretzels, and biscotti right from the box, i don't think there was much that was actually made on the tray. the tea sandwich bread was very dry and it felt a bit gimmicky, especially for a 50 dollar per person service. our server was incredibly sweet and kind but i think that this experience is solely for the ambiance of the hotel alone. i hope subito's regular meal services are more tasteful than this one. read more

Wao... simply, Do Not Go. The experience at Subito was so terrible, I'm actually taking the time to write this. This was our anniversary dinner and what a huge disappointment it was. Food: Let's start with the bread... it was cold and chewy, tasted like old bread. The one thing that was good was the anchovy/oil dip for the bread was good and flavorful. We ordered the sea bass and while the flavor was good, the fish was overcooked. The steak was truly the worst part, and mind you, this place is supposed to specialize in northern Italian cuisine that specializes in steaks... We ordered a medium-rare steak, and thank goodness the gentleman who brought it asked us to cut it right at the center - it was basically well-done. We sent it back, and the one that they brought after (see pictures below) was I guess less cooked? but the meat looks and tastes like it was previously frozen and suddenly thrown to cook, and there was basically no sear. Quality steak cooked correctly does not look like this, go to Precinct or Losanti for steak to see what I mean. The seasoning was ok. Frankly, I could have made a better steak at home. Service: Honestly? Not great. Our main server was not very engaging, seemed young and inexperienced, the whole interaction felt very awkward and not genuine. The manager who I presume was the person who brought the second steak basically gave us the plate and said "you will like this one," she turned around and left without waiting to see whether it was cooked correctly or whether we liked it. What an attitude. Terrible. Ambiance: Very classy! Definitely the place you would want to go for a date/drinks/celebration, but not for this kind of food. I'd rather go have tacos instead at some of these awesome taco trucks we have in Cincinnati. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, it's not worth the price. The only good thing about this place was the ambiance, the bottle of Rosé we got, and the chocolate covered strawberries they gave us for free as an anniversary gift (thank you for at least that). read more

My daughter and I had out first and only experience at Subito on Christmas Day. Hey, I get it, Christmas is a time when a lot of people don't want to be working. But, you know, the restaurant was open and there were several parties seated before and after us. We perused the online menu the day before our reservation. We were excited. Imagine our surprise to be given a limited brunch menu. Imagine studying a menu the day before because you are excited to go somewhere new and then being given brunch choices you could get anywhere. The only remotely Italian item on the menu was the squash risotto. There were two vegetarian dishes offered, one being the risotto. My daughter, being vegetarian, ordered the risotto. I had a burger. The burger was okay. It wasn't what I was expecting to eat on Christmas Day. Let me interject that no where on the internet was notice that a limited brunch menu was on offer. The risotto was swimming in oil. You could literally see a sheen of it glistening across the dish. It was inedible. But it gets better! Before the food was served, I ordered a latte. It came to the table in a paper cup. It was obviously from a Keurig or similar. My daughter literally could not eat the risotto. I took a bite and the mouthfeel was of oil coating the inside of my mouth. She put the dish of risotto to the side of the table. When the waitress came back to the table (eventually) she didn't bother to ask if there was something wrong with the risotto, nothing. She just took it away. There was someone who seemed managerial in the front of the restaurant but she never came by to check in on the patrons. The topper was when my daughter drained her only cup of coffee (no offers of warm ups) after not eating her food and ended up with a mouth of grounds! We burst out laughing because the whole experience was so awful. Merry Christmas to us! The server was not a good server, but she was pleasant. The lobby when we walked in was sumptuous in appearance and festive. The young woman at the front desk was very friendly. Best Bloody Mary in Cincinnati ... but only if they're offering shrimp AND bacon as toppings that day. The Lytle Park Hotel opened about a year and a half ago, and my fiancé and I have been to Subito at least five times in that span. We've been for brunch, we've been for dinner, we've brought visiting family ... we've tried just about all they have to offer. We keep coming back, primarily because the atmosphere is bright and inviting ... and the food is always memorable. If you're going for breakfast -- I have to recommend you go for the Goetta Hash over the Eggs Benedict. The Benedict is certainly beautiful, and the eggs are poached impeccably, but there's nothing that makes it special. It's just a regular old Benedict. The Goetta Hash, on the other hand, is a delightful take on a Cincinnati classic. Even if you're not a Goetta fan, you'll love this dish. If you'd prefer something sweet , definitely go with the Lemon Ricotta pancakes. Our servers are always attentive and knowledgeable, although we have had more than one instance where the service was a little slow. Also, they've sometimes switched up their Bloody Mary toppings without adjusting the menu. We once ordered Bloodies expecting shrimp, and the shrimp was not included, so we were a little disappointed. Even still -- the flavors in the drink are spot on -- not too spicy, not too vinegary, and just the right amount of tomato. read more
