Staff here is attentive, fast, friendly...everything you'd expect. They're also not understaffed either. The owner is frequently available if you have any concerns or issues. He's there to make sure everything runs smoothly and is done correctly. Even when they are slammed they have extremely good service. They have an extensive Irish menu. The fish and chips are excellent as is the reuben. Bangers and Mash, Shepherds Pie, Gaelic Chicken, Scotch Eggs...everything you'd expect in an Irish restaurant and it all tastes good. A lot of people like coming here for brunch which has a different menu. I think on Monday's they have all you can eat crab legs for $50 per person...you order a cluster one at a time, not a buffet. They frequently have bikes nights and you'll see a ton of bikes during Angier Bike Fest. They charge a 3% service charge on the bill...not sure what that is for... In the interest of keeping things simple, the food is served on paper/styrofoam plates with plastic utensils. The toast is wrapped to keep it warm. As I sat in my chair, waiting for the food, straight ahead was an open door looking out behind the building at the small yard. Shortly thereafter, the door was closed and that's when I noticed the "rest rooms" sign. While I'm certain there were probably outdoor entrances in the back to the restrooms, it just struck me as funny. I can't imagine the reaction of someone opening the restroom door and seeing the outside. In any event, Corner Grill has daily specials that obviously bring in the crowds.
