Opening time: 9 am. Arrived here at 9:07 am. Open sign is on and I see a worker inside. She saw me as well, as I tried to open the door. She was on the phone. I can understand if they are not ready to be opened at 9 am but at least acknowledge the customer is at the front door. Change your hours of operations if you can't be ready to be opened at 9 am.

Yes, it's subway, so you know what to expect. The Meatball sandwich is delicious and the staff are friendly.

Showed up at 8:55, guy closed and locked the door early to keep from making one last sandwich. Pretty lame, won't come back

Don't come here if you are in hurry. Horribly slow service. Took me 30 minutes to get one sandwich with only 2 people in front of me

The name of this establishment may not sound too appealing, but don't let it deter you... they whip…read moreup some delicious sandwiches! The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!

The bagels were delicious and toasted perfectly. It came with whipped butter and raspberry jam on the side. The pastrami omelet was very large and came with a generous serving of potatoes. ALso tried the pastrami and corned beef breakfast bagel, which was packed with almost like an omelet tucked inside a bagel. Also got a side of hand made chicken sausage which was okay. Tasted healthy. The one disappointment was the vanilla latte. It tasted more like it came from an automated coffee machine than a traditional espresso machine and lacked the flavor and quality I was expecting. Most things are self-serve here, including finding your own seating, grabbing silverware, getting water, and pouring drip coffee. As we were leaving, a live musician was getting set up to play, Which added a really welcoming atmosphere. The inside is nicely decorated and family friendly, with lots of children's books around to help keep little ones entertained. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but the portions are large. Food tastes good, large portions, cozy atmosphere, and live music, I'd come back again though I'd probably skip the latte next time.

All the food here is packed with flavor. The workers at the counter take your order and bring the food to your table. Its a nice cozy vibe regardless of the time of day or weather. One thing that has always stood out to me is that they serve Matzo Ball soup and an amazing Reuben sandwich. On my last visit I went around breakfast time. We ordered both the #7 Omelette: Nova Scotia Lox and the #2 Omelette: The Supreme Omelette. Of course both were such generous portions that we had leftovers. We also got the Reuben. The sandwich was so big it had to be deconstructed and eaten with a fork and knife.

Oh my goodness, if you get anything at DERU, GET THE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CAKE PLEASE…read more It's been a few weeks since I've gotten it and I still think about that cake. (I haven't justified buying a whole cake for myself, but I truly want to--and am tempted to do so) The food is great and I'd love to go back. I went on a Monday, so it wasn't as busy as it would be on the weekend. The servers are kind, and you typically order from a QR code unless you're having a hard time (and they'll help you!). Quiet space. Some parking available on site but it can get busy on the weekends from what I've heard.

Cute little cafe market but gets really busy on the weekend so hop on that waitlist!…read more I didn't realize they had a waitlist you could join on their website before arriving. We joined at the restaurant and although there were tons of empty tables and we arrived pretty early we still had a 45 minute wait. Pretty hard with a toddler. The front is all parking and there's street parking. Not a lot of safe space to let a toddler run about. Food - chai tea - on the sweet side for chai - coconut cake - a tad too sweet for our taste and a bit dry - fries to share - fried chicken and gravy - saucy and tasty but wish it came with toast or biscuits - sandwich - my husband got this and it was ok. A little too wet for my taste. Overall, not a bad experience but compared to other spots it fell short. Maybe if we had jumped on the waitlist sooner and waited less it would have been better for us. Definitely an our fault move. The food was just ok. I was excited for the cake and a bit disappointed.
