Place is uncomfortably hot & crowded inside, service slow (they were very busy at lunch-time), burger quality so-so. I believe this has same owner as the venerable "Old Tyme Grocery" near the U L main campus. Old Tyme is a legendary sandwich place with a massive following across Acadiana. Old Tyme has had quality consistency problems in recent years, too, but seems to have stabilized lately. As BJ's is in my traffic pattern,I'll try to pre-order some po-boys to-go for next time. Low rating is because employees aren't trained to automatically provide the lowest price to the customer, or even let the customer know that chips can be included for $1.50 less. And, when asked later about the price difference of the special bundle & not sharing that with us, we were not offered a complimentary (which we clearly paid for) bag of chips. Jersey Mike's product seems no better than Subway or other area fast food restaurants, in particular when comparing coupon prices or specials.
