Whew! I'm a Mississippi native so Louisiana is like our great aunt and New Orleans is our first…read morecousin. I knew when we pulled up the food was going to be good. When I tell you the spirit of Louisiana and NOLA was in the place! So you will miss the place if you aren't paying attention. The sign is small and the building looks like it used to be a church fellowship hall. It's not fancy and it's small, however, don't discount it. Don't judge a book by its cover and great things come in small packages. It's a family owned and run business. By the looks of it, it can probably seat 40 people and I'm pushing it with the number. However from the time you walk in until the time you leave, you feel like you're at your great aunt's house. It was five of us and when you walk in, it's seat yourself and first come, first serve. The food came out piping hot and cooked fresh. My husband and brother-in-law got the catfish platter with red beans and rice (no pork) and Mac-n-cheese. My sister and I got the Nawlins boil that had a crab cluster, shrimp, corn, potato, boiled egg and a sausage link. My nephew got a shrimp po-boy with fries. The food was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fish and fries were crispy. The Mac-n-cheese isn't creamy but it isn't dry. Perfect amount of cheese and flavor. The red beans and rice had the perfect balance of flavor. The boil...my goodness the boil. They have the amount of the boil down to a science to make it a full meal. At first glance, I didn't think it would be seasoned well because the season looked like a dry rub. It wasn't saucy or juicy - until I took my first bite. I almost walked to the kitchen to kiss the cook. They are not skimpy on any of the food either. Even the po-boy had an overload of shrimp. When we were there, it was a packed house. There was also a large party who was rather disgruntled - not because of the service or food but because they were impatient. Remember this is a family owned business with 2 servers and maybe 3 cooks that cook to order. So if you're looking for quick food, this isn't the place. If you have time to sit, enjoy some great food with great company in a casual home style restaurant...this is your place.

The restaurant looks almost like a converted house from the outside, but nicely kept with parking around the side. The interior is simple but upbeat in its New Orleans decor. The owner cheerfully met us at the door and invited us to sit wherever we wanted. She was hajppy, helpful and patient throughout the visit. We ordered all of our favorites to try; gumbo, etouffee, catfish, shrimp, dirty rice. While I have had better crawfish etoufee, the shrimp and catfish were king! The fish was mild, cut in a thick filet and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The shrimp was also perfect and very pleasing. It was all served with a grilled piece of bread that went well with the meal. It's good to have these folks in Bryan. I would definitely dine at Remnant of Nawlins again.

I'm just gonna say its been years since I had weinerschnizel and I wasnt missing anything. I drove to the restaurant and tried to go in and the doors were locked? Ok went to drive thru. The location is run down as all fk. Looks like no one has given a crap about this place in years. There was a line for hotdogs which I dont understand why cause its a hot dog it doesn't take forever to cook. Ordered a #1 with cheese and an extra chili cheese dog took a minute‍. Girls inside seemed more preoccupied with talking. The Dog was cold and the chili was mildly warm. The dogs are some cheap ass dogs they makes bar S franks look like a delicacy‍‍. Anyway ways ate them and was disgusted with myself! Let me tell you I've had weinerschnizel and this has definitely fallen off. Probably be another 10yrs before I come back your better off making chili cheese dogs at home and they are cheaper and better quality dog Chili cheese dog 2 outa 10 Fries 1 outa 10 soggy Location 0 outa 10 looks like a horror movie location Staff 3 out 10 Can't recommend this place to anyone Wasn't even worth a photo

He said yes, so that is what I did. When I got home there were items missing and the most expensive Item was their Bigfoot fries that are supposed to have a bunch of topping on them. They only gave me plain fries. When I called them they said they would not fix it, because it was an online order. They weren't even willing to give me the missing items I paid for. Their excuse is that I ordered it online, which they told me to do , so they can't fix an incorrectly prepared order if it was ordered online even though they are the ones who made it incorrectly. The plain fries they gave me cost $12.99 per order and I ordered two. They were supposed to have a bunch of toppings on them. They also keep hanging up on me and refuse to give me what I paid for.

Visited during the lunch rush, staff is ready to take your order and they really show initiative making sure tables are cleaned as soon as last patron leaves after finishing their meal. I ordered the #2 Wings and Tender Combo, a classic to make the stop worthwhile and the wings is where it's at, medium buffalo brings a kick of the right amount of spice dipped in their homemade ranch and the tenders are crisp and dipped in some sweet honey mustard I was in chicken heaven! The seasoned curly fries are well cooked crispy and goes well with ketchup or heck use the dips they give you with the combo! Overall for about $14.79, you get this combo and a regular drink and a combo full of flavor! Until next time I'm in Bryan, Wings n More we'll reunite again!

When we travel we like to do more local cuisines because why go to a place you can get back home?…read moreMy kids opted for Olive Garden but seeing the reviews and wanting to support local small businesses, I decided to come here. The restaurant is nestled downtown College Station where you can walk up and down the Main with cute lights when it's night and some entertainment down the road. The restaurant is on the corner and the inside was very clean and you can tell it has some history. A person, who I believe was the owner, greeted us and sat us down right away. The vibe is fairly quaint and the ambiance is dark but chill. The menu is minimal but I love that there aren't 100s of options. We were greeted by a very nice server who offered fresh baked bread. While I live for fresh baked bread, this tasted old and stale. It didn't taste fresh but almost as though it had been sitting out for some as it was dry and super chewy. What we ordered: - the lobster w/lobster and added shrimp: pasta was perfectly cooked But the sauce was missing one crucial ingredient....salt!! My son, who is 12, also noted it was very bland and lacked any seasoning! He put salt and pepper and said it was much better but needed a lot of help! The lobster and shrimp were a bit over cooked as well, it was slightly rubbery. - the lobster (substitute lobster for chicken): the same review as the dish above, but the chicken was a bit dry and over cooked. - mozzarella garlic bread: this was the highlight of the meal! Very stringy like they used fresh mozzarella and garlicky just like we like it with marinara sauce! - calamari: one of my son's favorites but he noted they seemed frozen and not fresh! He couldn't eat it because the calamari was very tough and chewy! It was a major let down! While I appreciate the concept, and maybe it was an off day when we went, we'd think twice about going there again! The service was impeccable but the food is why I have it a 3. (Please note we ate here in April 2025)

I used to live around Hempstead, Prairie view and Waller a couple years ago when I first came to Texas and it was kinda hard finding good places to eat ' I'm not gonna lie I was scouring yelp for about 30 mins before I stumbled across Burger House. I even got to the point where I asked some locals and they said Burger House was a burger staple in C station. Upon looking at the photos, it seemed like a burger that you make at the house to be candid. When I pulled up, I was like "oh wow this place look like a straight shack that's fasho." I decided to go through the drive-through & when I pulled up to the drive-through the gentleman who took my order was hella welcoming and just overall nice like he was happy I pulled up. I swear I was the highlight of my visit. I ended up getting the combo , bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink, and it was for decent price too. The burger itself was mediocre if I'm being honest, the meat lacked some seasoning, though the fries were pretty decent with a soft inside, light crisp outside. I like the fact they put the lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles on the side instead of in the burger which can make it soggy. So there was some attention to detail. The Bun though? That thang was soft on the outside and was lightly toasted on the inside, which was dope. Would I be back? If I'm being honest, just to say wasup to the gentlemen who took my order and that's about it!
