It's the same situation at I Got My Sound Chicken; the Mala Gala sauced chicken was super, the Honey Luv Rap, a little less so--but the price for all of it with fries was ridiculously expensive. All told, an 8 piece combo with fries and soda came out close to $32. That's kind of hard to swallow when I was having an 8 piece (often 9 or 10) combo at World Fried for $19 with better flavors, a better side in onion rings, and fountain soda instead of a limited can option. And that's how I always feel about places like this. Yes, they have good sauces. But I never feel like paying more for super crunchy breading and drink options that are never refillable. That's not worth an extra $6 to $10 to me compared to a non-Korean wing or fried chicken shop. The customer service was alright. They did a lot for a super swamped dining room. I actually appreciated how accommodating they were with our party wanting to dine in. That being said, I never liked crowded food joints where a mandatory wait over fifteen minutes await you. If it's sitdown, I like knowing the ambiance will be 80% capacity so there's no wait or maybe a ten minute max wait. Anything more than that and it feels like I'm being rushed so they could get the next waiting customer party in. And one of the things that ruins food the most is feeling like I can't take my time with my entree. In summary, I Got My Sound does good chicken, but not good enough for the price or the wait.
