No cheese that I paid extra for, order wasn't ready on time, apparently it takes more than 45 mins to make a sandwich here.

Avoided this place for a few years after a horrible first impression. Decided today to give it a try again. Ordered two sandwiches online and waited for it to be ready 20mins before heading there. Arrived 7mins after the ready time. They hadn't started making it. They let me know they don't have the chicken for my sandwich so I asked for turkey instead. I needed to leave for work so almost left empty handed. They said they could make the two sandwiches in 5minutes. I came back inside 5mins later and they were still working on one of the two sandwiches. Once I got to my sandwich there was zero cheese on it. I had paid for 2x pepperjack. The bread tasted pretty stale too. The two guys working seemed very overwhelmed and couldn't handle the two that walked in after us trying to order that left immediately. I wanted to like this place because I do like subway but unfortunately the one that is 5mins from my home is the worst. Such a bummer.

Soda machine leaking water all over the floor, slip and fall and you have a law suit, check out the overflowing garbage bin

Inside seating was mainly stools along the front window with excellent views of the trees and water. I really liked that there was a central coat tree where you could hang your heavy coat, especially with the limited seating. Some tables outside as well for sunny days. Interesting menu that blends standard breakfast with some healthier add-ins like quinoa instead of rice. Food tasted fresh, supporting their goal to serve natural, organic, and local ingredients. I opted for the Sunrise Sliders, and had no complaints. I particularly liked that the pretzel buns weren't too dense and didn't overwhelm the other ingredients. I was given the option to add pesto, and it added great texture and flavor. Great showcasing of local products like bagels from Tahoe Bagel Co. and Blind Dog Coffee.

The interior is nice and cozy (and warm), with light reggae music playing in the background. There're only two tables; the rest of the seating is VERY comfortable bar seating. With two walls of windows showing beautiful Lake Tahoe views--plenty of trees and the lake itself--there's plenty of morning light coming through. I was happy that they were serving smooth Laughing Dog coffee--a favorite. And the food came out quick and delicious, with a nice crisp on my burrito wrapper. The menu is limited, but what they do they do creatively and well--the quinoa in my burrito went great with the eggs, beans, and sausage, and they told my wife they were experimenting with their already creative pretzel bun sunrise sliders by adding pesto--a perfect extra optional touch for her.

It's not easy getting vegetarian food in this town, so we are so happy to have such a tasty breakfast option at this adorable and cozy cafe. Thank you, Ana, for making these pockets of joy!

Well, at the Tree House Cafe, you can have something good and at a fair price We were visiting Kings Beach for the afternoon on a whim and other than drinks weren't really prepared for lunch. This place's menu looked good plus they had outdoor and patio seating since we had our dog. It was hot out and they allowed well behaved dogs INSIDE with the cooler air. I had the loaded tater tots with creamy Mac and cheese topped with brisket. My son had the tri tip sandwich. The portions were large. I split my tots with my wife and we still had to take some home. My son only finished half. Anytime you order tots, the base has to be crispy with potatoe-y insides. This place delivered on that, plus the mac and cheese added a level of creaminess that paired well with the savory brisket. The brisket was BBQed with out too much sauce, this allowed the smokiness of the meat to come through and not be overwhelmed by the other ingredients. So overall, a winner in my book. I can't honestly say anything about the sandwich because I didn't try any of it. Maybe next time. But if facial reaction counts. My son was smiling .

Whitecaps is a must if you are staying in the area!…read more Quite possibly the best pizza in all of Tahoe. We've tried many places over the years and Whitecaps is ultimately the spot we always go to. It's super busy, so definitely recommend coming early or planning your visit on a weekday. On a Saturday night, it took about 30 minutes for a table, so we sat at the bar instead. The service was good, though the food did take a while to come out. The Sopressata pizza with honey drizzle was amazing and probably the highlight of our most recent dinner. They have a ton of options on the menu though, if you're not feeling pizza. I've heard amazing things about the meatball sandwich, which we plan to get on our next visit.

Located in Kings Beach just a short…read moredrive from Incline Village, it offers beautiful lake views, a relaxed atmosphere, and some seriously tasty pizza. The pizza is absolutely the reason I keep coming back. My longtime favorite is the Soppressata pizza with hot honey drizzle. The combination of spicy, savory, and sweet is outstanding, and it might be one of the few pizzas that's just as good the next day as leftovers. On my most recent visit, we tried the Vodka Pie on the Detroit-style crust. While I enjoyed the flavors, I discovered that the Detroit-style crust probably isn't for me. Going forward, I'll stick with their more traditional crust options, which I've consistently enjoyed over the years. The beet salad is another standout. It's beautifully presented, and the fresh dill on top adds a unique touch that works surprisingly well. My only suggestion would be to increase the portion of beets a bit, as the amount felt somewhat limited compared to the rest of the dish. The beer selection is extensive, with plenty of options for almost any taste. Wine drinkers will find a handful of choices available by the glass or half bottle, which is appreciated, although none of the wines I've tried have been particularly memorable. The biggest challenge for Whitecaps continues to be the service. While I've had a few positive experiences, I've also had multiple visits where service felt inattentive and unfriendly. It often seems difficult to get someone's attention when you need something, and there have been occasions where details were overlooked, including being served wine in a visibly dirty glass. While it was replaced when brought to their attention, the lack of acknowledgment or apology left something to be desired. That said, I continue to return because the pizza is genuinely that good. Between the lake views, the casual atmosphere, the excellent beer selection, and tasty pizza. Whitecaps remains a great place to gather with friends, share an appetizer and a pizza, and enjoy a cold drink. If the service ever catches up to the quality of the food, this place could easily become a top pizza option in NLT.

The steak was a little too chewy and tough for my taste, but overall good flavor. I loved the wild rice pilaf side! - lemonade and sierra sunburn: both really fresh and seemed like they were made from fresh lemons! the raspberry in the sunburn was great The lighting was warm and the lights were really overhead. The benches were comfortable and not cold to sit on, and overall nice, clean, comfy environment. Service was really friendly and apologized that the drinks menu didn't have dairy-free options for some of the drinks with dairy, overall really attentive and engaging. We found a lot of street parking a few minutes away and walked over, also took a walk on the lake beach right behind it which was super pretty

My go to is the breakfast burrito. The flavors are good and the green salsa adds a little heat and refreshing kick.
