Updating to 5 stars because we can tell the staff is working hard to ensure a good customer experience. This is a solid breakfast option for anyone staying in the village. A wide array of menu options, plenty of seating, cute items to look at while you wait for your order, and I appreciated that the staff walked around from the back and brought every single person their order right to them rather than having the guests pick them up at the counter. A small touch, but meaningful and noticeable. We're excited to give this place another try and recommend it to our friends who are staying here. Original review: Paid for a sausage breakfast burrito and got a breakfast burrito with a lot of tortilla, and legit 0 sausage in it. For over $20 with tip, this is very disappointing to not have 1 single bite of meat in a pricey burrito, as shown in the photos. This was also not a busy morning, they were wrapping up giving a group their order when I arrived, and I was legit the only person in line. This restaurant is located within the north star ski Village. If you sit outside, your view is of condo balconies. Nonetheless I recommended as a good place to eat. The food was outstanding. The smoked chicken salad was large fresh and delicious. I would order it again in a heartbeat. The smoked chicken sandwich was quite good, too. It's a little store with all kinds of things that you may have forgotten on your trip. You order at the counter and then they deliver your food. You can sit inside, too. I love this place! My husband and I stay in the Village at Northstar very often and this is my favorite place to grab a coffee in the morning, a beer after a long day of snowboarding, and to shop for any miscellaneous items I may have forgotten at home or ran out of. This place just has good vibes. Their selection of goods is surprisingly impressive with many great/quality brands and local products. I checked out their website and they mention their focus on "local, organic & natural foods," which is apparent! Of course you can expect prices to be higher than your average grocery store, but that's expected at a resort (and worth it in my opinion for the quality and convenience). Staff is always super kind and helpful too! From my experiences, every person who works here has been very pleasant and friendly. They have some yummy house-made food items for breakfast and lunch like smoked meats English muffins. They have several beers on tap to enjoy in the cafe, and a huge selection of wines and liquors. They have a pastry case too where I assume at least some of the offerings are house-made. Personally I'm huge fan of their espresso (catch me ordering a double espresso or cappuccino almost every morning we're in town!), chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon rolls, and turkey and Brie paninis, and ham and cheese croissants. read more

We waited in line behind 2 people. When it was our turn the lady who worked there walked to the coffee machine to make 3 drinks. That's fine but she never came back, she just walked to the other side of the counter. I built my own sandwich and I felt the price was very reasonable. Everything is made to go but there is a space to eat there. There's also a water station by the place where you pick up the coffee, which I used to refill my water bottles. It's also a little grocery store which is convenient. Also the gallon of water from the grocery section was $5 and the water bottles were around 3-5 bucks each from the fridge in case you're thinking of buying water like my friends and I did. read more

Apart from sandwiches there are some bakery items like bagels and croissants. This cafe also offers Tahoe merchandise and souvenirs . I went grocery shopping at this run-down store, and it was a total mess. Everything was dirty, the shelves were dusty, and most of their products were expired! It's a shame that this is the only place in Northstar to buy provisions. The things I bought, like eggs and meat, were set to expire in just two days, and the customer service was awful. read more

My go-to for coffee, breakfast, and provisions when I'm staying at Northstar. They have everything you may need, great variety , and good brands. They also serve hot breakfast and lunch. I've only had the breakfast, but the avocado toast with added egg and bacon was really tasty with the balsamic vinegar. The breakfast burrito is huge. They also have baked food goods and coffee. There's always a line, so do yourself a favor and order ahead online. There was a drink that I wanted not on the online menu, so I called and it was no problem. She told me what to order that was the same price and remembered my name. No problem. Can be a little pricey, but so convenient with good food. read more

Holy smokes, Copper Lane is an oasis at Northstar! Hours are flexible so I can get a breakfast burrito before the first run of the day, and I can grab a cold one before leaving. They seem to have everything I need. Maybe too much hahahaha! I don't leave a lot of reviews, it takes something truly bad or super outstanding for me to do so. At Copper - it's good! the people behind the counter are so friendly, very service oriented, always making me feel welcome. And y'all - if you have the chance to eat food prepared by Travis - DO IT. Came in tonight at 7:10pm to get some hot chocolate for the kids. The girl at the counter is scrolling her phone, bothered that we're even in there in the first place. Ask for some hot chocolate, to which she replies that they're not serving hot chocolate anymore because she doesn't want to clean the machine again. Can I give 0 stars? We went to this cafe, looks dead. There's a lady working... or is she? She was on her phone. We walked in she didn't even say anything. We walked up to the counter waiting for her to say something, still nothing..we asked are you open? She answered in the most unmotivated way with yes as if she does not want to work or as if she hated that a customer even walked in to the store. I call that TERRIBLE SERVICE. Of the couple Northstar Village food places we tried, Copper Lane Cafe was my favorite. We even went back later in the week. I don't normally order salads but splitting the Roasted Beet Salad $12 and the BLTA Sandwich $16 with fries $3 between two people made for a great lunch after a long day. I enjoyed the salad. I had to pick out quite a few wilting/spotted leaves (see the photo), but the fried cheese ball kinda made up for it. The bacon in the BLTA sandwich was thick and crispy and the avocado was a good addition. I really liked the corkscrew wedge fries. They were served very hot and crispy. The first day I was kinda sad that they only sold a full sized cheesecake with orange marmalade ($25) and not a single slice. I inquired about a more reasonable size for two and they just said a smaller size was not available. The second time we visited we got the BLTA again as well as a Burger $13. Both were very good. To my surprise they had a smaller two person cheesecake available! It was about $10. I was so excited about a good dessert after an exhausting day at Northstar. The casual cafe is located past the rental equipment store (kinda out of the way but not too far). There's also a cute little store where you can buy supplies like sunscreen and basic groceries like butter, milk, eggs, etc. There is bathroom access. You have to go down a long hallway located to the left of the refrigerated display case. I can see why big groups of friends and some Northstar employees gather here at the end of the day. They serve alcohol and it's a cute place to hang out. read more

I was on the hunt for a bowl of clam chowder soup and was happy to have found some here. It was not anything special, but it was warm and satisfying on a cold morning. I will say that the bread it came with was actually very crisp and tasty. I would come back just for the bread. My husband had the pastrami sandwich and said it was good, but a bit dry because it did not have enough sauce. What I did love about this café was all of the gift items! We stayed at Northstar and were looking for a place with breakfast other than Starbucks. Someone in the Burton store recommended Copper Lane and we were so happy they did. The breakfast sandwiches and bowls were delicious and so were the lattes. They have lunch and dinner but we only had breakfast. The ingredients were fresh and the food has thought put into it. The store is fun in general because it has skin products, liquor, novelties and basically anything you would need on your trip. Now it all makes sense why you have terrible employees and terrible reviews reflecting that... you're hiring people with your same crap attitude. 10 hours into her shift It was 4:00 pm you don't even open until 10 am. I'm also in the service industry and couldn't imagine how angry I'd be too if every day i looked there was another bad review of my team and myself, but then I'd probably self reflect and make changes instead of respond in anger.
