If you feel up to being sick 15 minutes after you eat here then go for it! Don't trust the food. Especially turkey and soups.

We all love them but they are a little too hot for our taste buds & stomachs. We all would dearly appreciate it. I know for a fact that if they were toned down a lot more people would be enjoying them. I also would be getting the word out to everyone as well. Thank you dearly for your time and May God Bless Ya'll Always.

They have both outdoor and indoor seating with a public restroom. Place is an older building that is kept up and sparkling clean. My 82 yo mother in law loved her burger and strawberry milkshake which was made with real ice cream. The babes also loved her kids cheese burger which came with pickles and light mustard and mayonnaise. I'm assuming the Hubbs liked his bacon cheeseburger because it was gone before I could even take a look at it. I wasn't feeling like a burger and at the recommendation of the lady at the counter, I got the Reuben which came with pastrami & sauerkraut on grilled rye Bread. For $8.85 you get a large tasty sandwich that you can easily pay $15 at most places. The food is made the old fashioned way, upon order and the French fries are made with fresh potatoes. If I lived nearby, this place would be dangerous!

I had BLT and it was delicious! Very good tasting bacon and a lot of it! Fresh bread and warmed it was awesome. I am picky about my BLTs so this was a good pick! Husband had the club sandwich and it was jam packed with so much meat and he really liked it. We will be back. This place deserves a chance they obviously work hard to make it a pleasurable experience. We ate outside it was a nice day and the tables and umbrellas were perfect. A little loud with traffic but can always eat inside also. I recommend coming here. Oh husband also had a huckleberry shake that was super yum!

The lady working the establishment by herself got them served promptly, and took my order, which was the BB Pastrami Sandwich (roll, pastrami, mustard, cheese and pickles with a side of au jus) and an order of French Fries. I'm not a fan of au jus with my pastrami (beef dip is a different thing!!), but the side was ok, and the sandwich itself and fries were delicious and not skimpy portions. Yes I'd gladly make a return visit here and am looking fwd to it. The ambiance was very different than the former shop here that closed, and both the ambiance and the food are definite and notable upgrades. I want to see this place do well, as Grants Pass is seriously lacking in choices for sandwich shops. Thank you, Big Block Sandwich Shop and I'll see you again soon!

Here's a polished version that keeps your voice but adds a little sparkle:…read more Papa Morgan's is exactly the kind of place we love stumbling across -- a cozy little hole-in-the-wall that just feels right the moment you walk in. We were seated immediately, and our coffee and waters showed up almost instantly (always a great sign ). The place is a bit dated, but in a charming, homey way. I actually loved it -- cute decor and even a small jewelry area to browse while you wait... although "wait" might not even be the right word because the food comes out fast! My husband went with the chicken fried steak, and I ordered French toast from the light menu. We usually split a meal, but today we leaned into both sweet and savory -- and I'm glad we did. Everything was delicious, no complaints at all. Service was quick, friendly, and on point. Our coffee cups never hit empty, which honestly deserves its own gold star. Would I return? Absolutely. This is one of those spots that feels like a local favorite for a reason -- and now it's one of ours too.

I called in around 9am to make a reservation and Wendi (the Owner) gladly took us same day for a 12:30pm slot. I told her my boyfriend has some food restrictions like he doesn't like mayo so she was able to make some sandwiches without it. She asked if we want the Princess tea ($35 per head) or the Queen tea ($40 per head) so we chose the Princess set. An hour later we arrived to the The Painted Lady Tea house! Mostly street parking but it's not busy so it was easy to park in front the house. The house entrance had two doors but for some reason the first door you see is locked so you enter the right door side as their entrance. The ambiance of the place was super pretty like each section of the house had different themes. Wendi greeted us and said we can sit anywhere in the house. There was two other groups that was dining and noticed they were wearing cool hats so my boyfriend chose to wear a Jester hat and I chose to wear a frilly flower hat. I saw one group eating the Queen tea set so I asked Wendi if we can change our meal plan to that instead and she was able to make the last minute change. We chose to sit in the green room because it was very earthy, decorated with plants, and had small water fountains. Here is what's inside the modified Queen tea set meal: Appetizer -2x Ginger scone -2x Lemon scone -English Tea -Side of sugar cubes -Side of creamer Entree -Croissant sandwich (Ham, cheese, tomato, leafy greens, mustard, mayo) -Egg sandwich -Curry chicken salad sandwich -6x cucumber cream cheese sandwiches *no mayo* -2x crusted egg quiche -Green grapes -Chocolate dipped tangerines -2x Chocolate crunchy dipped strawberries -2x Chocolate drizzled strawberries Dessert -2x Strawberry ice cream cake -2x Oreo cheesecake My boyfriend got a whole Croissant sandwich since the other sandwiches contained mayo. He ended up not liking it because he didn't know there was mustard in it so he just wiped it off and didn't want to ask for a new one. Most tea places I've been don't usually add mustard into their sandwiches so maybe next time I should've said no sauces or all sauces on the side. Their website menu didn't have any details of the sandwiches, it was very vague. I'm kind of sad he wasn't able to enjoy the other sandwiches with me so I wish there was more no sauce sandwich options or self serve sauces in the future but that's what I get for dating a picky boyfriend lol. I really enjoyed everything and loved the decor of the house! But I felt like the menu had too many sweets. I would be fine with just the scones, dipped strawberries, grapes, and oreo cheesecake but the extra dipped tangerine and strawberry ice cream cake were too much. Maybe I suggest make the strawberry ice cream cake and oreo cheesecake to be bite sized. It would be nice if there was a good ratio of savory like maybe add chips, soup, cheese cubes, or other charcuterie board savory snacks. I still recommend this place! Great place to bring your family and friends to enjoy for a fancy stop over from a long days road trip :)
