There are picnic tables to eat what you will purchase in the store. Inside there is a store with cheese for sale, along with samples so that you can taste the cheese. There are many varieties that are made here. Most are forms of Gouda (pronounced khow-da (with a guttural H sound as the first syllable)). We really enjoyed the Gouda with Fenugreek ($8.47 for a wedge). They can also make a grilled cheese sandwich ($4.50) and a cup of soup ($4.00). We got several kinds of their delicious cheese and consumed it over the next many days of our trip. We live in Los Gatos and were delighted to learn that they sell their cheese at the Sunday Farmers' Market in Mountain View. So after returning home, we phoned them a few days before a Sunday with our order to pick up at the Mountain View Farmers' Market . The advance order is advisable since at the market it is first-come-first-served and you favorites may sell out before you get to their booth. When we got to the Farmers' Market around noon and picked up our order, we were told that it was good that we pre-ordered since several of the cheeses we ordered were already sold out (except for our reserved order).

I asked a simple question about the price of one of the cheeses, and her response came across as dismissive, as if I was asking a stupid question. It was disappointing because everyone else and the overall atmosphere of the place are usually so warm and friendly. I still enjoy coming here and will continue to visit, but I hope customer interactions can be a little more positive and welcoming in the future.

I like mine rare and it was perfectly cooked, very marbled, huge, well seasoned and delicious. I pared it wth au jus and mashed with gravy. Then, what reminded me to write this review, was the tri tip from the meat counter and took to go. They were nice enough to pack it in ice for my 2 hour drive. I just cooked it on my grill in the rain and this is seriously one of the best tri tips I've ever grilled up. The meat tenderness/marbling/quality is on par with any prime grade/American wagyu I've bought and the seasoning is just super on point. Looking forward to smoking the baby back ribs I picked up as well in the next couple of days but I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Seems like other reviews had issue with service but the staff were exceptionally attentive when I was there. The first couple times the waitress said something we wanted was out we didn't mind and pivoted, especially since she said those were the only items they were out of. However, it quickly became evident that was not the case. She said the reason was it was Sunday and they are only open Thursday-Sunday so they often run out of stock during the Sunday rush. Like I said earlier, the last time I was there on a Sunday there was no issue with items being unavailable, and I feel like if this is a recurring issue maybe that's something that should be looked at when ordering for the week? But I also am not in the restaurant business so who knows maybe this isn't that unusual.
