Tried this place many many times and walked out every single time. People here go straight from the counter to making sandwiches without washing their hands. I thought that wearing gloves suppose to prevent transmission of diseases. After receiving people's money, they grab gloves (touching the outside which will be in contact with the sandwiches) and put them on without washing their hands. To them, gloves should protect their hands from sandwiches. It doesn't work that way. I don't think that eating sandwiches from subway is worth a trip to emergency room for gastrointestinal diseases. Both my trip to the restaurant and the resulting sandwich were unappetizing. I entered the restaurant 45 minutes before closing. The woman working was counting cash on the counter, and the vegetables and sauces had been removed from the line and stacked on one another. She kept counting for a few minutes and then walked over without washing her hands and put gloves on (touching the outsides of them). She informed me that the oven was turned off so she couldn't toast anything (I always order my sandwich toasted). It was pretty awkward when I asked for vegetables and sauces, because she had to juggle the stacks of them to get to what I asked for. I intended to fill out a survey using the information on the receipt, but after I paid she ripped the receipt off of the machine, wadded it up, and threw it in the trash without asking if I wanted it. read more

Worst customer service. Slow and incompetent. They need more staff and training. Management sucks. I would not go back.

Beware! This Subway gives the worst customer service I have EVER seen. During the recent snow/ice, we ordered several sandwiches and cookies, and drinks. Over a $50 order. Plus a $8 tip. I picked the order up 10 mins before close and the girl who works there every day had them ready, but failed to give me the 8 cookies and Sweet Teas. We tried calling but she did not answer. I went back today and politely asked for her to make it right paying for my meal, and the rotund short man who was there just shrugged his shoulders and asked for the receipt to which I had none. I told him that the same girl had made our order. He abruptly said I needed the receipt and nothing he could do. He aldo said they did not even carry Sweet Tea which I pointed out in the fridge that they actually did and the overweight man said. "Look, I cannot help you buddy. Ok?" As though I was teying to scam him over 8 cookies! He then proceeded to ignore me although I was still standing there. I told him that was unprofessional and he had made 3 sandwiches and handled money in between and not washed his hands. He then said I needed to leave and not to worry about his handwashing. It was his store. This is the third order Subway has forgotten large parts if our order. The girl behind the counter has been there every time. So she pockets our couple dollars each time, and then her overweight owner who fails to ever wash his hands backs her up when you come back to complain. Do not go to this Subway. They are not friends of the waterfront and I guess if ylu like getting ripped off, disrespected, and laughed at by an unprofessional owner who does not wash his hands. This is the place for you! The food was good and fresh. Service was good as well. I had soup and my son had tuna sand which.

The guy who works there is literally a "subway artist" he took 15 minutes to get to me even though there was only one person in from of me. So I was there for 30 minutes. The guy was listening to some music and was just relaxing there not thinking that there are people who don't have time to stand there around waiting. When he got to the cheese he made sure it was perfectly placed in there, and everything he put on my sandwich he made sure it was perfectly placed, and if not he would fix it I'm not a perfectionist and it never bothered me for my sandwich to be perfect. I was hungry and just wanted to eat. This guy shouldn't be working at the subway if he doesn't understand that no one cares how perfect he makes the sandwiches, people come when they are hungry. Here we go again. So, just an hour ago my wife goes into Subway and orders a soda drink. She than asked a question about a particular cookie, the young man working there says what the two types of cookies were on the particular shelf. She asked, "if the one flavor was any good and the employee said, "I've tried the one with raisins but not the apple pie one", he goes on to say, I try my best not to eat the food here", indicating to my wife and others around here at that moment, that the food is not very good. she being shocked at what he said, she says, "Your not supposed to tell your customers that!" (My wife is in Management where customer service is of high importance, so she sees when someone is sticking their foot in their mouth), Then, the employee dug a deeper hole and says, "Its ok, you already ordered" WOW, it's ok to tell you the food is no good but only after you order your food........hmmmmmm. This place tastes great and its FRESH! Great memories here! They are also really laid back about people needing to use the bathroom if you aren't a customer and all the other stores I've been to are really strict. Its also a very clean store and they never let anything expire. The only bad thing is that they aren't supposed to over vegetate your food, but some employees are cool about hooking you up. read more

Haven't been to a Subway in years. Feels like a franchise that has lost its identity. The options are confusing and somewhat disgusting in certain combinations - getting offered Southwest sauce on a breakfast sandwich with bacon. Uh, no thanks. I've visited this Subway twice in two days. The first time I went I was less than thrilled with customer service, and ended up with a sandwich with wilted greens and too much sauce. I've been back this morning and it's the same thing. Different employee - possibly even the manager - same poor customer service, same mediocre product. I remember getting good customer service at other Subways, so maybe this is the store that needs to be thinned from the herd. I live on the South Waterfront and unfortunately this is the only fast food shop in easy walking distance. So I won't say I won't be back. However, it will be my very last option. I'll stop going for sure when Little Big Burger comes in. read more

The customer service at this Subway was perhaps the worst I've experienced. I showed up 10 minutes before closing, only to find the door locked and the employee inside making sandwiches for other customers. Now I don't know how you would interpret this, but when I see posted store hours, I expect to be able to walk up to the door with even 5 minutes left before closing and find the door unlocked and accepting customers. I knocked on the door and all the employee could do is look up at me with a look of contempt on her face. After repeatedly knocking on the door, she finally came to the door and rudely told me that she didn't need to let me in because her manager said she could close early and she didn't have to serve me. I'm guessing whoever owns this franchise may have a different take on that. She proceeded to then tell me to just stand there and shut up. She then made me a sandwich in which she just half assed it. The whole time she was making it, I had to stand there and listen to her go on about how she didn't have to do this or that, how she was tired, and how she shouldn't have even let me in. She sent me off with a lousy sandwich and the comment, " Your business isn't wanted here and you should find somewhere else to get a sandwich. " Well I'm going to take her up on that. I'll never spend another dime in that particular store, and I eat at Subway at least 3 times a week, and I'm going to tell everyone I know how lousy the service was and how you get to listen to a rude kid go on a diatribe about how you've just ruined their night. My suggestion is find another Subway to spend your money at, unless you don't mind being chastised by rude employee. read more

Ehhhhhh, yet another Subway. It's the only quick option in the SW waterfront that is open pretty much all hours. I've been there a few times. The interior is spacious and new looking, although I'll say since it's opened it's progressively gotten less clean every time I've been in. The sandwiches are what you can expect from a Subway, small portions of low grade meat, over zealous squirts of sauces, and schizophrenic placement of toppings. If I get it to go, by the time I walk the long 3 minutes back to my apartment the sandwich looks like an MMA fighter a few hours after the fight. Every time I eat at Subway I think, for only a couple of dollars more I could have had a really good sandwich someplace else. Unfortunately there is no other good place nearby that is open and within walking distance of my place. The last time I went in the guy making my sandwich forgot to put the ham on my Italian B.M.T. (that's - Biggest, Meatiest, Tastiest, in case you didn't already know). Wow the bread to meat ratio is tipped way in favor of the bread on that one pal... Anyways. There customer service was horrible! I have been here on three spectate occasions in two weeks. I understand that subway is stindgy with their veggies and how much per sand which, but it's like they cut the portions in half. The two girls never gave me good customer services and offered every male to take the survey on the back of the receipt for a free cookie but never the females(each time I ate in the restaurant). They don't smile, and you feel like a bother. One was even on her phone while cashing people out. I would rather travel a little further then come back to this subway, or go to a different restaurant. read more

I appreciate Subway when you need a quick healthy lunch at a reasonable price point. This Subway however, is the worst Subway I've ever been two. I had bought lunch a few months back in the summer and the inside of the restaurant was probably 85 degrees - they had the fans going instead of the AC. When I inquired about the temperature of the food I received an annoyed look and a snippy comment of 'of course it's cool'. ... just checking. Then today I went back and I bought a six inch sub. I asked for olives and jalapenos, they put three (3) olives, and three (3) jalapenos on the sandwich. That's it. When I asked for more vegetables (I also had spinach and red onions too) I was told that three olives was the Subway suggested serving size for a six inch sub. He gave me three more olives and then told me, 'you're now double of what we're supposed to give'. Wow. Done - I'll never go back to this Subway again. read more

I found out I have celiac 10 years ago and it was the best day ever when subway came out with the gluten free subs. I couldn't have been happier. But the past few times I've gone to subway they haven't done anything to stay clean with cross contamination except for changing their gloves. I see them use the same knives they just cut other customers regular bread with and etc. When I tell them I have celiac they say "okay?" and they roll their eyes when I order a gluten free sub and then when I'm paying they always offer me cookies like they don't believe that I'm gluten free. I find this bothersome because I know how huge being gluten free is to everyone right now but If I had the choice to eat doughnuts and all other kinds of delicious gluten containing food I would. It's definitely not just this subway. This happens at EVERY subway I go to. I really don't appreciate the hard time because this is already something I wish I didn't have. I know that it's frustrating when all these people who aren't gluten free come in ordering gluten free but that doesn't mean your frustration needs to be taken out on someone who can't control it. read more
