Stopped in here one evening while doing laundry probably on a Sunday evening when we walked in the door about 830. The location was already being cleaned up for the night. So I want to say they're dining area closes at eight but you're still able to place an order for your sandwiches after that so they close roughly around 8:30 PM Who were the only two customers in there so we were assisted fairly quickly with our orders to go. Associate assisting us was polite and soft-spoken. And patient with us even though it was close to closing time for walking in last minute. With most subways, usually a pretty decent place to stop in and get something to eat. A small location inside as well. But a clean little set up.

This was supposed to be a Cali turkey sandwich.

This staff lacks in communication, acts of service, professionalism and common sense. The young short blonde and the taller brunette man didn't wear name tags and had attitudes. They both were hiding in the back to begin with. I ordered on sandwich to be toasted. They proceeded to pull off all of the shredded cheese from my sandwich and throw it back into the cheddar cheese container because they "can't toast a sandwich with cheese on it". They had an attitude about it and were completely unsanitary. This staff needs help. Whoever is the manager needs to be trained because this is unacceptable. Neither of these staff could communicate without being disrespectful. They didn't clean up after themselves. We proceeded to eat in because it was hot and they hid in the back again leaving an elderly woman to wait 10 minutes for them to come out. I do not recommend this staff or store.

Nasty bathroom stick next to beverage cups.

This restaurant is so worried someone might use their restroom that they pass a key which is attached to a large piece of wood back and forth across the same counter they pass your food across. Pretty nasty if you think about it...............

great service . opened early for us !!

Only bad part was the rude elderly vegetarian and the lack of reality this woman displayed.

That's how I ended up here. Not sure where I originally heard of it, but it was pinned and so I went. Tasty, tasty sandwiches. The meat was high quality and the GF/keto bread acted and tasted like regular bread. I ordered whatever GF special they had listed and really enjoyed it. Looks like they had some pasta salads and desserts I would have loved to tried. Called ahead so pick up was quick and easy. $18 for a smaller sandwich kind of hurt, but the side quest joy made it worth it. From what I saw, no seating, just a counter for pick up. Enjoy!

Yesterday was a different thing, though. It was cold outside, so we decided to eat in the dining room. It took FIFTY MINUTES to get our food. The time stamp on my receipt said 6:30pm. At 7:00pm, I went to check on our order and she said it was coming up, but then started to hand me someone else's order. When I told her what we'd ordered, she looked at the order wheel and said, "Oh, yours is next." Then it took another 20 minutes to make two burgers, a side of fries, and a side of onion rings. That's just too long, especially since the dining room was freezing cold, too. We asked if the heat could be bumped up, but she said something like, "Sorry, but they lock it so we can't adjust it." The burgers were good, but it was just too damned cold. We will be back, but not until the weather warms up. Maybe in April or May.

If you've ever driven through Rio Vista, you've probably heard of Foster's Bighorn (and if you…read morehaven't stopped in yet, you should.) Foster's Bighorn is a local peeps restaurant and bar. It houses a private collection of over 300 big game specimens from Africa and North America, making it a great place to see what big game hunting looked like in the 1930s. The moment you walk in, you're surrounded by world-class trophies covering the walls near the ceiling. It's unlike any other dining atmosphere around in the east bay. For me, this place is pure nostalgia. My dad used to bring me here once a year when he had business in Rio Vista. I remember being completely fascinated by all the trophies mounted on the walls. Large game hunting wasn't something my family participated in, but growing up in a farming family, animals raised for food were a normal part of life. Even so, the quality and quantity of the collection always left me in awe. Going back as an adult, I can say that feeling hasn't changed. The collection is still impressive. This visit, we kept it simple with drinks and appetizers. My friend ordered a margarita on the rocks, and I had a pale ale. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. The bar itself is a classic 65-foot bar that feels like it belongs in another era. For food, I had the Caesar salad, and we split the ten-inch pepperoni pizza. The pizza featured roni cups and felt like a solid, classic appetizer-style pizza . The side Caesar salad was a great portion with crisp lettuce, shaved Parmigiana, and crunchy croutons, simple and tasty. Foster's Bighorn offers a Chop House style menu for lunch and dinner, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a full sit down dinner. I'd absolutely go back: first for the nostalgia, second for the drinks, and third for the food. It's a one-of-a-kind place that feels like stepping into history while enjoying a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
