Needed a quick bite before heading home. Subway was the closest and healthish option. I was greeted by a sweet man enjoying his lunch at the table. This made the visit off the bat. We like kind people. I typically stick to a Turkey sandwich but I decided to switch it up with a 6" Cold Cut Combo on Italian Herb and cheese. Jay was the Sandwichista today. He built my sandwich quickly! I was out in less then 10 minutes. Contemplating eating with that kind gentleman but I was already in my car when I thought about it. Not bad for a standard sandwich. We ordered the Valentine's Day special on 2/14/25. We ordered two #10 All American Clubs, the buy 1 get 1 free deal. We were greatly disappointed with our food! The sandwiches hardly had any meat or cheese; they were all bread and veggies. It tasted like a bad vegan sandwich! There was ONE very thin layer of turkey and one smaller thin layer of ham and I didn't see any sticks or pieces of bacon! It was a complete rip-off and looked nothing like the photo. I know fast food rarely looks like the product consumers get, but it's very misleading. Our Valentines lunch was ruined. I don't think we will be returning and we used to be a regular customer at this Subway. I reached out to Subway via Facebook posts and Messenger and their customer service site but nobody cares to respond. Subway just takes your money and dishes out subpar food. I came to get a soup && had bo (not sure his name is I heard his other coworker say it) so he scooped some soup put the lid on thought he was done. finished ringing up the lady in front of me. Then took the lid off took it to the back walked back to the front with it the back to the back. Came back to the front then told me there wasn't enough soup it's going to be a couple mins. IG I'm assuming warming it up in the back. Then after making his sandwich he goes to the back && starts bring up the soup but it has no lid so I can see it's not filled up. I understand subway being a franchise, so a lot of things are systemic. My experience today reflected poor systems. I haven't been to a subway in about 2 years, but when i heard about a foot long cookie and a churro, i thought it would be a great Sunday dessert. Unfortunately, after seeing these ads around town, and approaching this particular subway with windows covered in ads about a foot long churro and a foot long cookie- i got all the way through my order, and when i asked if i could have either one- i was given some excuse about how they are "frozen" and "weren't left out for her". Seeing as though this was the main point of my visit, the rest of my visit is whatever. Sure, the store was clean. My sandwich was alright, its subway. But i didnt get that churro or cookie. Ill definitely never be back to this subway, but ill be more sure to ask upon entering if dessert is an option or not. read more

I came to Subway for lunch after laundry. I was starving and didn't eat breakfast. I must have been hungry cause I had a foot long Black Forest ham sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, green peppers, mayonnaise, oil and vinegar. I made it a combo. For the chips, I had the Lay's and to drink I had the raspberry iced tea which is my favorite. I got to refill my drink since we dined inside. Coke products are here. A plus in my book. There's no restrooms in here but there's plenty of tables inside. There was air conditioning which is a definite plus here since it's so hot outside. It gets busy here but the line goes quickly. Parking is in front of the business and shares it with other places. It's definitely worth stopping by if you want a sandwich. read more

This subway is in violation of California law! They do not have a restroom nor a sign stating that a restroom is not available. Why have a dining area if customers can't wash their hands? Quick review: Pros: -Staff working here during lunch hour were VERY quick and efficient. Never seen anyone working so fast at a subway! -Standard pricing and ingredients Cons: -Parking is VERY crammed and hard to find during lunch/rush hours. -Homeless people outside sometimes -No bathroom in the subway (probably so homeless people don't use it all the time). -Very limited seating area I know a lot of subways in small shopping centers like this are limited on space, and it's not that big a deal for me as I took mine to go, but I WAS hoping for a bathroom to use very quickly before ordering. In fact, most of the shops in the mini shopping center had no bathrooms. Not a bad subway in terms of quality and service, just a little on the small side with no bathrooms, even for customers. read more

This Subway is clean and looks like it is taken care of. They are actually open at the times they list they are open and had the ingredients/bread they are supposed to have. My brother and myself came in and the workers Liz & Trinity were very welcoming and made our subs correctly. They weren't messy and falling apart like at other subways. Even though the Subway on Friars is 7 minutes closer to me, I will be coming to this one for the great customer service, cleanliness, and it just seems like they run things great here. read more

This Subway location is right up there with the ghetto WaMu branch off of Imperial Ave. on the Makes Me Uneasy Scale. As I don't enjoy looking suspiciously over my shoulder every time someone walks through the door when I'm handling my finances at that particular WaMu, same thing applies when I'm contemplating the construction of my sandwich at this particular Subway. Let's be honest: the thick, bulletproof divider between us and the Subway workers is there to protect the sandwich makers, not me. Hmmm....How's that supposed to put my mind at ease? I will acknowledge that I like the fact that the last couple of times I've been here, the worker on duty was very meticulous in his hand sanitizing as he put my turkey on wheat together. I'm not really a germaphobe, but if I'm going to give you $5 for a 6 inch sandwich, I appreciate the fact that you care enough to keep any food borne illnesses off my meal. I'm not going to sell you all on the fabulous factor of Subway because I think you and I know we're paying them for convenience rather than innovative, quality product. I don't usually write reviews about chain restaurants, but this location deserves one for novelty purposes alone. Instead of a sneeze guard, they've come up with a sneeze entire-prep-area-plus-cashier-window. How hygienic is THAT?! I can only imagine the terrible ordeal that led this franchisee to install safer-than-a-bank acrylic bulletproof windows in his/her restaurant. Seriously, being robbed even once is no fun. But out of tragedy comes comedy. This is the Disney ride of sandwich ordering. There are only two microphones built into the windows, one at the beginning of the queue and the other at the cashier end. You have to use them; the workers cannot hear you otherwise. After shouting and/or miming your topping selection (also knowing sign language helps), you shuffle down to the cashier end, where you put your form of payment in the stainless steel tray and slide it under. Then when your sandwich is ready, they open their side of a little "airlock" where they place the contents. Then they close their end and you open your side of the airlock. Transaction complete! Restaurant was clean. Food was exactly as a well-known chain should be. read more

The world's safest Subway was awesome! The guy behind the counter was funny and friendly and didn't mind my absurd order, and caught on that my wife and I were splitting the foot long sub. He wrapped them separate and made them togo. As if he knew we weren't going to eat there. Or maybe its that no one eats there. Seriously, it was awesome not being able to sneeze on the sandwich prep area or to spit while talking to the sandwich artist. And I appreciate the cool door that locks on my side when his side is open. It makes me safe knowing no one is gonna try to rob this sucker while I'm there! It's Subway. Good when you need healthier fast food. This gets a star more than regular Subways because of the awesomness of the bulletproof, robberproof cage the artists work in. If I worked there, I'd bring a bouncy ball to throw at customers. It really makes me feel safer than the Hillcrest BofA. And its a very chic design. So if your in North Park and hankering for chips, a drink, and a sandwich (I fought the urge to say sammie... I lost), you gotta go here! read more

Well hello little Subway gem. I was running some errands the other day and needed a quick bite to take home. I have probably passed this location a thousand times, but today it was a convenient stop. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was served at the height of lunch. My most recent Subway experiences at other locations have not been so fast and efficient. I was even more excited to find out that it is AnyTober! (Any Foot Long is $5 during October!). With the current state of the economy I am looking to stretch a buck any way that I can. I love Submart! Oh, wait. Wrong commercial. Five Dollar Footlong! I've come here a bunch since I moved to San Diego a few years ago. It continues to blow my mind that the staff and counter area is all behind some thick, bullet-proof glass, complete with microphone and speaker system like they have at the the AMC movie theater in Mission Valley. It's a sketchy sort of vibe. I'd rather go here during the day, or with someone else if I'm going in the evening. The staff is very friendly; they call out "Welcome to Subway!" as soon as you come in. They are quick making the subs as well. Everything, food-wise, seems to be fresh - except the avocado. It was browning in the bowl today, and seems to be that way every time I go in. I don't necessarily NEED avocado on my footlong veggie, but it would be nice every so often. This isn't my first choice for sandwiches, or maybe it is. It's Subway, and so it's familiar. I know what I'm getting, and for the most part, I can't complain. I love Submart! Pretty nice subway, everything looks very clean and the food looks fresh and healthy! Shout out to Nydia for making my veggie sandwich bombbb, I get all the toppings with chipotle sauce, honey mustard, oil and vinegar, and salt and pepper and it was delicious!
