Kudos to Joe, an employee here, for using his employee comped meal to buy a meal for an Army soldier.

Holy hell this is by far the worst restaurant I've even been to in my life! They are so incredibly…read morerude. I don't get why these people are allowed to work here? I've been here 4 times since it's on my way home from work and all 4 times I had to try to communicate with a Spanish guy or girl who both don't understand what your saying at all. Like how are you going about to be taking orders but don't know how to speak English??? They all look like they want to kill themselves or you and will gladly take the anger out. I also found a bloody bandage sitting on top of my fries last time and when I complained the Spanish girl got frustrated and told me to leave! Will never come back here I'm done.

My brother asked me to go through their drive through after we left the brewery last night. There was no one ahead of us, he just wanted fries. He ordered two large fries through the speaker. I pulled up to the next window to pay. The girl told me to go to "2". I saw a sign with a 2 on it. I pulled up and waited. I could see inside of this McDonald's, it was completely empty. No one was behind me or in front of me. I waited for 12 long minutes, for some fries from McDonald's. I think in McDonald's time that is eternity. I remember in the 90s their moto was "if it's not ready in 60 seconds it's free!" Just as I decided I wasn't going to spend any more time waiting, a young man came to my window with a bag of fries. Now, I haven't had these fries in a long, long time, I'll be honest I only had a few for the purposes of this review. These fries were pretty terrible, they were incredibly oily, you could taste the grease with each bite. They were also far too salty. My brother claimed they weren't salty enough. To each their own. McDonald's or their fries just aren't for me.

My grandchild was unsure of the French toast and our waitress found a picture of the meal so he could decide and then they were able to place the toppings on the side! I would say 5/5 for our server. The food left much to be desired and was a huge disappointment. The factory French toast was burnt - twice. It was charred and hard on the outside. We returned it the first time since it was inedible and it came out maybe 5% less burnt the second time. My husband got the huevos rancheros tacos and was super gassy until the next morning. This almost never happens with him lol. Chicken Little sandwich was so-so. The cheddar biscuit was overtly salty. The fried chicken itself had no salt. I do not eat Ham but my husband who tried it said the ham cheese and biscuit would almost make it too salty. I asked for some hot honey to balance my sandwich. I got a butterscotch caramel latte which was actually quite good! Black coffee was not good. We could see the chef from the kitchen window. He did not seem very passionate or attentive. I had high hopes for this place but will not be returning especially after the burnt french toast and the GI symptoms my husband experienced.

I sat at the counter and was greeted immediately. Their menu is loaded with all the typical, popular breakfast eats. I opted for their corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. Starting with coffee. The coffee was typical, very good. My eggs I ordered scrambled with cheese and they were made perfectly! I'm a stickler for not having eggs overcooked, I don't want to see, nor taste any brown on them and these came out just right. Their breakfast potatoes are some of the BEST I've had at a place like this. There wasn't as many onion as I would have preferred, but the flavor and texture was perfect! So Very Good!! And finally, the corned beef hash - They use the typical canned style, which I knew and I asked for it to be well-done with jalapeño. The chef did a perfect job with this part of my breakfast!! Wow - So Good!!! Overall - definitely a very nice breakfast here... I'd most definitely return!!

The decor is all 50's from the chairs, walls, food, etc. Here's their story: "September 11th 2001 changed my life forever. After 19 years as a flight attendant, I decided it was time for a change. Thanks to my dearest mentor and friend, my dreams have come true. Actually, this all dates back to the year of 1952. My friend had a wish, too! Naif Makol, Jr. loved to eat his burgers when he was only knee high to a grasshopper, at which time, he asked his daddy if he would buy him a hamburger store. "Bah" astonishingly honored his son's request, and the family was in Burger Business. We dedicate the vision behind our concept to an exceptional man, Naif George Makol, Sr., without whose foresight and extraordinary business sense this could have not been possible. Our country was a great place to live in back in the 1950's American families enjoyed simple pleasures like drive-in movies, cruise nights, and car hops. Much has changed today except the memories of a time gone by. Naif Jr. has never let those joyous memories fade so in saying that here we are today. Naif and I wanted to create a place representative of a time when families gathered together listening to Dion or little Richard on the radio or cruising into their favorite soda shop for burgers or dogs. Skooter's took on a life of its own once we collaborated about the open kitchen concept and sit-down counter service. We've created a warm, family atmosphere which we hope you will enjoy. Our goal as proprietors is to provide you quick in-and-out service in an upbeat, happy environment at an affordable price. We want to be your home away from home. With Jonathan Karas as a key part of our family and the central force of our operations, I'm sure you will enjoy what he has to bring to the table (pun intended). We hope you delight in the simplicity and of course the great tasting yummy food." For my drink, I'm having a black coffee. It's my first caffeinated drink in a long time (no decaf available). I'd have a milkshake, but they're extremely heavy. Ah! REAL coffee! For my soup, it's Sausage, Pepper and Onion. Rice too I see. It's very good! An unusual soup, I'm also trying the chili. This is good! I got the last of it! Peppers is an odd ingredient. I can't leave here without trying a hot dog (Frankfurter) with sauerkraut. This is good! I liked the buttered bun. No shortage of sauerkraut. For my entree, I'm having a Grilled Lemon Chicken sandwich. This is really good! Notice the square lettuce leaves. For dessert, I'm having a slice of blueberry pie. This is a HUGE piece of pie! It's nice and chilled. I haven't had this in decades! It's delicious! What a great meal here! Those onion rings are freshly battered and are huge! One of them was 4 inches across! Oh yeah! This is great!

This was the second stop and the stop that concluded my visit to Hartford today. So like the other three places, let's talk about this. So firstly, you should know this wasn't even my first choice after the hibachi place. Yelp had mentioned a place called "Taste of Portugal" and wanted to try that. However, Taste of Portugal was not around when I looked inside, so this ended up being my ultimate backup spot. While not bad, it was my least favorite place of the day and the only one I can't give five stars to. Let's go over the pros and cons and see where this lands (after the Carolina Dog and Twisted Fries that made up my order here). So for the pros, that Carolina Dog was bangin' out the frame good! If that Carolina Hot Dog was the only thing I was grading this place on, then this would be a guaranteed 5-star. That golden mustard and pulled pork on top made this an awesome dog from start to finish, served very warm like a hug from the Carolinas. I do also like that the menus display how much each thing costs and what is on each of the things one can order. It's quite neat there. Prices are also reasonable here which is another plus. For the cons, I had to wait to even be able to order. There was a longer line, but it was also impossible to know if I was the next person in line or if there was someone else who needed to order their food that got there before I did. Also, the employee working there didn't recognize I was customer right away. I mean, come on. I did not have this happen with the other two spots in the Parkville Market I was at, and all of it was in the same visit to Parkville Market in the middle of lunch hour. The Twisted Fries I had mixed opinions about. So the fry itself was crunchy, but because of all the toppings, I'd realized too late that the fries were completely drowned out, so I didn't really get to taste the potato. I didn't mind the wait here either since I was warned it would be a wait. Plus, it gave me a chance to upload photos to Yelp and charge my phone since my battery was low. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but if I did come here again, I would gladly order another Carolina Dog. Seriously, that's one of the best hot dogs I've eaten.
