    Hair in my wrap

Service was okay. Not the best costumer service I've ever had but not terrible either. I bought a wrap and a footlong for my children. The food tasted fine until I found a hair in my wrap. Completely lost my appetite.

Pit stop going back home from Vegas. As far as pit stop convenience stores go, this is pretty good. There were lots of tables to sit at with a wide selection of coffee and drinks for that long drive back. The sandwich was pretty good considering how long it's been since I've last eaten at Subway. I got the Sub of the Day which ended up costing me less than $5. Try their Basil Pesto and Garlic Herb sauce. I personally would go with both but get a little Garlic Herb since it was very strong (to me at least). In terms of the bathroom, considering how many people come and go, it does the job. Glad that there were multiple stalls with seat covers and toilet paper.

The service was not good. It could have been that it was Memorial Day and. 59s Diner is quite appealing to a traffic filled highway. It was crowded so it took over 15min to get seated. Our drinks were served after a brief wait, but then it took the waitress about another 15min to get to us to take our order! Then we waited a while to get our food. All in all, we spent more time waiting than eating . The small booth seating, across from the stool seats offer a not so roomy walkway. The gentleman playing pushed in a wheelchair kept bumping into both sides of the walkway, bumping people in the process. Not his fault, but the walkway should be wider! The food was GREAT, but I dont think I'll stop by again. The gift shop is filled with so many nostalgic items from enamel pins, to clothing and candies.

The one place we go to is the Miners Cafe, it's a tradition. We are welcomed by the friendly staff of Jessica and her family. For the past couple of years the Miners Cafe has been closed and this year we were excited to see that it was open again. But we were sadly disappointed.. The Miners Cafe now has a new owner, and Jessica and her family are not there to great us hello. The Cafe is just a limited, typical burger place with not much flavor. Familiar items like fried pickles and a cold beer are gone. When asked if a simple grilled cheese could be made, we were given an excuse that the staff was slammed and they didn't want to overwhelm the cooked. And when you looked around they had minimal patrons at the establishment. The person taking the order was not very accommodating, and seemed like she was just "over it". We ended up ordering zucchini and onions rings, not much to them and onions rings were just warm, not hot like it does when coming out of the fryer. Needless to say we left the sad, empty Miners Cafe. I am sad to see what used to be a wonderful establishment, become just a place to sit and make eat if you feel like mediocre cold food. What happened to the Miners Cafe we loved? And what happened the past owners who put loved and quality into there establishment? Because it showed with the food and the staff. I am sad to say, this is not place it used to be, hopefully next year it will be better or the old familiar faces will be back

The hot dogs are grilled, not boiled. The fried pickles and zucchini are DELISH! Turkey burger was also full of flavor. Lots of patio seating available with views that are just spectacular. It was a Saturday morning around 9:30ish and was surprised it wasn't that busy. We found a booth and saw we had to scan a QR code for the menu. OK, I admit, I hate that. Then they had instructions to download the app to place your order. I assume this was put in place for COVID. Finally, a waitress came over and said she'll take our order. Thank goodness! I ordered French Toast with sausage patties, which I totally prefer over links but it's so rare to find them on the menu, and my partner had a breakfast burrito. The food arrived fairly quick and it was perfect. I'm not into fancy breakfast foods so keep is simple and I'm happy. The breakfast burrito was HUGE and my partner wasn't able to finish it. The entire breakfast with coffee was about $40, which I felt was very reasonable by today's standards. We both mentioned how we recently went to famous SoCal fast food hamburger joint (not In-and-Out) and it was $30 for 2 people, and not as good. Our service was super friendly, and we felt welcome there. Along with good food, this might be our regular breakfast stop when driving to Vegas.

I understand cleaning procedures are important, but turning away customers hours before closing for something as simple as a shake was a letdown. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for.

I guess it's because he's the only guy there taking orders and making the food. By the time I took a bite of the pastrami sandwich, the wait was worth it. The taste is what you'd expect from a "typical" pastrami sandwich made fresh. I've had some phenomenal pastramis in my lifetime, and when I say "typical", it's a complement.
