The saffron gives it this warm, slightly floral flavor without being overpowering, and I really liked it over ice. It was smooth, refreshing, and just different enough from your usual iced latte. I think it was $18 or $19 for 2 drinks, that's just crazy to me and it's my own fault, that should have been a warning, but they had a Ube cruffin (and my husband loves ube) and I ordered one without asking the price and imagine my surprise when it was $7! A little more than that I think actually. I get it - it's a pricey area, they're a block from oven views, it's Laguna, I'm too broke to live and exist there but good Lord. All of that aside, it is a very cute shop, very cute merch, and very good vibes with lots of sitting areas. They even had a cute little corner with toys for kids to play with, which I love!

Just watery flavorless "coffee" water. Coffee cups for stay are really dumb. No handle. So you have to grab them around the cup which was way to hot to handle. Not the best decision for cups. Don't try to be different, just get good italian made cappuccino cups. Not sure how this place has the reviews it has but my wife agreed that it was awful. Not a fan and likely would not come back. It just solidifies my theory that most coffee places have no idea how to roast and pull coffee. This is why I stay home and use my Illy classico coffee and gaggia machine instead when home but I was not home this time. Snotty? Yes but why go through life drinking crap coffee and paying for it.

Everything in total cost me approximately $13.something (I tipped the worker.) Seriously, I will be coming back knowing this place closes at 3pm daily and opens at 7:30am. I have been trying out different coffee shops in the OC area and had the pleasure of visiting the Succulent Coffee Roasters in Laguna Beach. I was blown away by the quality of the coffee, the ambiance, and the barista's specifically, Vlad. I ordered an espresso and Vlad took the time to explain the different types of coffee beans they have and how they roast them. He also asked me about my preferences and made a recommendation based on my answers. He is truly a wealth of knowledge and educated me on how to grind and roast them with my own espresso machine at home. I have come back numerous times to buy their beans, they are worth it!! The espresso was absolutely delicious and Vlad was so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Succulent Coffee Roasters to anyone looking for great coffee and a great experience. Vlad was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure that I was happy with my drinks and overall visit. I really appreciate his level of customer service and I will definitely be back to visit, and most likely become a new regular. read more
