The employee we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. We got a dark chocolate mocha that she asked how sweet we liked it. We said not too sweet. It was great! Tried the green chili burrito. It was good. A cute and upbeat place.

Staff was friendly but first off, anytime you hand me an ICED coffee in a PAPER cup, I'm suspicious of what you're trying to hide. It's nice to see what the coffee looks like not just from top view. The menu shows only top angle which leaves a lot to be imagined. The coffee was basically hot coffee with ice cubes that quickly melt. And the coffee lacked boldness to be able to handle being turned into iced coffee. Didn't see any espresso options. Also, everything on the menu states "5-460 calories" at the bottom of the menu but neglects to show accurate calories per drink. 5-460 calories is useless information when there are more than 10+ different sugary coffee options.

Absolutely love this location! It's super close to my job, so it's become my go-to spot. Parking is always easy (huge plus). They nail my drink right the first time, every time -but I also appreciate that they always remind me they'll remake it if I'm not happy. The space itself is big, open, and really comfortable, with plenty of outlets if you want to get work done or study. Definitely one of the best coffee spots in Dana Point! Tried their iced caramel banana brew with oat milk instead of almond milk and OOOH IM OBSESSED!!

Welcome to Dana point PHILZ! We stoped in here finally- employees very nice, love the ambiance! Haven't been to one of these since I've lived in the Bay Area. They made be an oat milk iced latte with Stevia, and it was delicious! Will definitely come back in the future.

Wonderful staff of young hard workers. Very friendly. One worker helped me pick out a delicious honey drizzled coffee and she gave all the reasons to choose it. I really appreciate a knowledgeable staff. Coffee prices are what you would expect, about $6 a medium specialty drink. There is minimal 2 hour parking around the back. Ambience...There are desks for plugging in your tech and getting some work done. Their is also a kids style area with books and crayons in a room which is away from the front entry doors. This establishment also has outdoor seating.

This is such a bright and vibrant coffee shop with very kind staff. They only serve pour overs. I've never had an infused pour over but got cinnamon and yum! I love the art in here and the coffee was very yummy. Definitely worth a visit especially if during the farmers market, which is right across the street.

From Chicago, first time at Philz with my daughter. Here are some thoughts: -It has a smaller menu than I'm used to, but some really interesting drinks! -I ordered the Philtered soul cold brew, and it was the best (not bitter) cold brew I've ever had. -Really colorful, interesting decor. -The staff were very friendly and helpful! I'd come back!

First time at Philz. I was impressed by many things! This location is very spacious with tons of places to work. They have long tables, benches, couches. The vibe is somewhat urban and loungy and I love that. Also, they have some fantastic art as well as community boards with different businesses and events advertised. My only gripe...why is the logo orange and the umbrellas and chairs outside yellow...overall I'm very happy to have a Philz in DP!

This little coffee shop just opened. I had never been to a Philz However , it is quite different than any coffee shop. I think that you will ever go to the level of quality of coffee is absolutely outstanding. The service was good . The complicated way you order your coffee is just not for me. They have a wonderful outdoor patio and a large, indoor seating area dog, friendly kid, friendly as a matter, in fact there seemed to be more babies and more mamas than anybody else having coffee that day. And I really loved the music .

Stopped here for a quick coffee before heading to the beach but it wasn't as quick as we expected. There were a lot of people here for a Sunday morning! I think next time we'd try ordering ahead on the app. We ordered the Gingersnap, Blueberry Breeze (a seasonal item), and the three cheese egg bites. The egg bites definitely give Starbucks a run for its money, very tasty. The Blueberry Breeze was quite refreshing! A little too sweet but that's okay. The Gingersnap was also delicious, such a throwback. Not in Dana Point often but this is a great spot for coffee if you are.

I would give it 5 stars but for a few things. I've been in here 2x now in the past month for a visit. The coffee is definitely really, really good, some of my favorite. I was not that impressed with one of the specialty beverages, but it wasn't bad-just a good way to spoil what could be an even better cup of coffee. On my most recent visit, first they lost the ticket, causing an unusually longer than normal wait. Then, when the manager or whoever it was apologized very politely, another employee remade the drink in a larger size than we asked for and iced, when I had asked for hot. So she had to remake it again hot. She gave us both drinks I guess as an appeasement for the error and extended wait time. I know it's busy and kind of hard in a place like this, but I would have preferred to have the beverage comped instead of being charged for it and another beverage which we were not going to be able to drink added. Or she could have given me a $5 gift card for the error-something like that. I just don't think getting an extra beverage and a larger size is the best way to go. I also noticed they say no dogs on the door, so the first time I went I waited outside while my friend went in and ordered for us both. Then, on that occasion and on today's visit, I see people walking in with multiple dogs and no one says anything. So which is it? These were obviously not service dogs. Please, enforce the rules or allow dogs. And now I see on Yelp it says dogs allowed. I'm so confused! I think she's the manager, there's a very petite, young lady who on the first visit offered my dog a treat as we were waiting outside, and then she was the same one who apologized to me for the drink mistake. She seems to be on top of things and attentive whenever needed. Kudos to her! I will go back, just hoping they will fine tune their operation a bit more and make the doggie rules fair for everyone.

Amazing design inside location! Especially we loved the kids area with a toy coffee machine. Cute corner with a sofa and chairs to enjoy the best coffee. Coffee is really the best - especially mint mojito! Stuff is nice and helpful. Keep it going Philz!

Not only was I thankful that my friend treated me to a beautiful and delicious lunch, but also I'm just so grateful for the views, service and overall good vibes. Hunter was our server and was incredible. He was helpful and attentive. As far as the food, we started with the soft pretzel and unfortunately it wasn't that soft. It actually seemed a little stale. However, the rest of our meal was 10/10! I got the chicken club, while my friend got the pastrami. Both sandwiches were so delicious and bursting with flavor! I also love that they have zero proof options on the menu. That's always a plus for me. Hunter ended the meal with a complimentary birthday treat and WOW...the chocolate cake was a small slice of pure bliss. I highly recommend it! Lastly, they even have complimentary valet. I will be coming back to Club 19 very soon to try more of the menu!

This place is like a little slice of paradise, brimming with Ohana and Aloha, and I'm here for it! First off, the **macadamia nut pancakes** are a game changer. Moist, fluffy, and bursting with flavor, they practically dance on your taste buds! If you're not careful, you might just end up ordering a second stack--no judgment here! And don't even get me started on the **spam musubi**. It's like a warm hug from an old friend--authentic and oh-so-delicious! You can almost hear the waves crashing as you take your first bite. Now, let's talk about the **kalibi **. Cooked to perfection, it's the kind of dish that makes you want to shout "Aloha!" at the top of your lungs. Seriously, I think I might've shed a tear of joy with each forkful. To wash it all down, the **Hawaiian latte** is a must-try! It took me back to the islands I miss so much--smooth, rich, and just the right amount of tropical. I may or may not have been tempted to sip it while wearing a grass skirt. In a nutshell, Stacks Pancakes is a delightful culinary escape that'll leave you smiling from ear to ear. I've had two separate experiences at Raya this year, and both were unacceptable -- which is…read moredisappointing because the rest of the property has consistently been excellent. Kahani, the club lounge, and the Marketplace all delivered exactly what you expect from a hotel at this level: attentive, well-trained staff, seamless service, and a clear understanding of hospitality standards. That's why I've never focused on smaller issues before -- they didn't outweigh the overall quality of the stay. Unfortunately, Raya has now been the exception twice. The first time, back in January, the food quality wasn't on point-I ordered the blackened tuna tacos and they were completely inedible. I didn't complain or send them back -- I simply left it at that. Today was service from one particular server Taylor. I had just come down from the club lounge and remembered that I had a complimentary voucher given at check-in, which didn't specify what it covered on it. I first asked at the lobby bar and no one was able to provide a clear answer, so I went next door to Raya and asked again before ordering. The hostess told me I could choose anything and even recommended the skirt steak. She was kind and friendly. Taylor took my order, and I reasonably assumed there had been communication between staff. So I spent some time ordering and waiting and when my food arrived since I asked for a to go order, I grabbed the bag, tipped, and left. Then Taylor ran after me at the hotel entrance asking how I planned to pay -- in front of other guests. It was an extremely uncomfortable and bizarre situation. I didn't realize what has happened I was just handed the bill and I put my room number and name down. I was then told the voucher only covered guacamole, which directly contradicted what I had been told prior to ordering. As a result, I wasted approximately 40 minutes of my time, I was simply trying to head to the beach before departing, and instead found myself dealing with a situation that should have been handled internally and discreetly. When I handed the food back and said I did not want it, the response was "ok, I'll toss it," followed by no acknowledgment, no apology, and no effort to resolve the situation. At this point, this is no longer an isolated incident. For a restaurant positioned as fine dining, the lack of internal communication, consistency, and basic guest handling is surprising -- especially when every other outlet on the property demonstrates a significantly higher standard. Raya was the only part of the experience that felt misaligned with the rest of the hotel -- and unfortunately, it's the last impression I'm leaving with.

My wife is a big fan of their Adobo Breakfast Bowl and on our second visit, she decided to order it again. To our surprise the dish came out noticeably different from what we remembered. It had more sauce and a hint of sweetness, almost leaning toward a paksiw-style flavor. When we asked one of the servers (not the one assigned) about it, we were told that some adjustments had recently been made to the ingredients. We were a little disappointed since we really enjoyed the original flavor from our previous visit. Thankfully, our assigned server took the time to share our feedback with the owner, Anthony. He personally acknowledged that some adjustments had been made BUT also recognized that the dish we received was not up to their standard. What really stood out to us was how he handled the situation. Rather than dismissing our concern, he offered a thoughtful resolution that completely turned the experience around and made us feel genuinely valued as customers. To me, THIS is what great hospitality looks like. Food may not always come out perfectly but when a restaurant listens, acknowledges a concern, and makes a genuine effort to find a resolution for the best possible customer experience, it makes you appreciate the place even more. I strongly recommend giving this place a visit. There aren't many Filipino-themed restaurants in SoCal that offer this level of food quality, hospitality, and overall experience. We'll definitely continue coming back!

Tasted like bad flour gravy with little to no potatoes or clams. Don't order this. My Cesar salad came with chicken, anchovies, croutons, and like 4 cherry tomatoes. The anchovies were whole and there were 3. I like that they asked if I wanted them (I did) but I wish they were chopped up instead of whole. The cheese on the salad was hard like it had been sitting out and the chicken seemed like it was some cheap breast defrosted. They could have grilled the chicken, had fresh black pepper to make it a lot better. The French fries on my son's plate were honestly sad looking. Cold and soggy. My husband ordered fish tacos and chili and admitted he's had better meals in his life. We drove pretty far to try this place and honestly wish we went next door for better food. Service was ok, our soups came out before we got our drinks, which I didn't like. The food is super overpriced for the quality. The best part was the view.... Hence the second star. I won't go back.
