I came in last week for lip injections. Overall it was great, Dr Jeffers did a great job and made me feel at ease. Although afterwards I saw on facebook there was a special on botox and Juvederm and no one mentioned it to me or offered me the special pricing, which was disappointing as it could have saved me about $80, but I'm happy with my results and will go back. read more

I agree w/ Tiffany W - Elizabeth really was the best - the Brazilians were quick, the brows looked fantastic and the conversation was awesome - yeah we gossiped - but sometimes that's exactly what a girl needs when the hairs on her....ok you get the point. :) I tried someone new after Elizabeth (and gave her two chances) and frankly, she was just not up to par. I also felt she was inexperienced - my brows are super thin on the ends and there is a gaping hole (no joke) in one of them. Unfortunately, these last two experiences have turned me off completely. So if you know someone good in Scottsdale - please let me know! In terms of the place - it is nicely decorated and the couches in the waiting area are plush and comfy. They offer water, tea and dried fruit for guests and it is a nice touch. They do try to up-sell the H out of you...next appt etc - which can be annoying - but they are a business. This is the first review I've ever written and am doing so because I've never been so frustrated by a business. Unorganized, I bought a series of laser treatments...the first appt kept me waiting over an hour. The second one I waited 30 minutes and said I wanted my money back. They refused. They do not deliver as promised, refuse to give the owners name and send out an unqualified manager that has no idea how to handle anything. First off, very inconsiderate to address my legal name an invasion of my rights to create and use an online username for privacy protection.  Second, LIE, there were not several attempts to correct my experience, your company reached out 3 times, twice concerned with the reviews, not my experience.  I called the first time to speak with someone in regards to the disappointment with the treatment I received both with the doctor and results. The second call was from Suddenly Slimmer was because of my Yelp Review.  I was invited to come in for a new and better experience.  It was not.  (See review above). The LAST time I received a call was on June 13, 2018, from a Savanna, who said she was medical consultants with Suddenly Slimmer and asked if I would want to come in and meet with her and Christina, another esthetician.  She said they have had issues in the past concerning Dr. Jeffers. She seemed apologetic for the treatment I received. She said she was going to speak to the owner and Jeanine. This whole experience has been unnerving.  I have two witnesses, Dr. Jeffers NEVER RECOMMENDED 30 units, she said 15 units would be enough.  NO MORE LIES or attempt to discredit me. Was referred here by a good friend for a facial. Made an appointment online through their website. Received a confirmation email from the spa with date and time of appointment. The day before my appointment I receive a phone call stating that I was booked with someone who doesn't do facials so they would have to reschedule me for the following week. I made an appointment on a specific day and time since I was leaving on vacation. I explained this and I was told sorry we are booked and I could go on a wait list. This is unacceptable service! I went there several different times once for Dysport, later a body wrap (not worth it) it rubber me raw because they bandaged me wrong. They always lose my paper work and I need to fill out new forms every time like a new customer. They do run behind all the time. And insist on selling you damn packages of crap...(pet peeve). I went there with my mom last time to get a B12 shot for us both. They were running behind again so they took us in a back room were people were opening the door every minute while my mom is taking her pants off!! Mid pant drop door flies open!! It was not a doctors office like the ones in the back either. Then after that experience they want a tip!! For what?? Oh we can't find the key to give you your change. Really? I had my first Fat Burner Wrap last year when they were offered on Groupon. I am in love!! I now get one at the start of every summer to kick start my "getting ready for bathing suit routine." Yes, you can visibly see the loss of inches as well as cellulite. I recommend them to everyone!! They are worth every penny! My experiences with the personnel at the Spa has been very positive. i was promised by the technician randy that she could do an 8 session procedure to remove my eye bags....i even told her it was hereditary...she told me it would be no problem and the cost would be $800...thinking getting my eye bags removed for $800 i agreed...after 8 treatment sessions there were absolutely no results and she wanted to sell me an additional $700 procedure...i talked to the spa manager and asked for a one half refund and she refused and was rude on the phone....i would not recommend this spa to my worst enemy...... read more

My experience at this spa was very nice. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The building is huge and has an old fashioned style to it. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and outgoing. The girl that I had for my appointment was very nice. I got my first hydrofacial and I enjoyed it. My face feels a lot better and my acne has calmed down. I received a gift certificate from my husband for my birthday for this day spa. Having a very busy schedule I hadn't had time to use it when I finally planned a time that I could enjoy my gift I was told it was no longer valid. The girl I spoke with said that their gift certificates are only good for 1 year. I told her that the information I received had nothing listed stating that it expired after 1 year. I explained that this was a $300 gift certificate that my husband bought for me and I feel I should be able to use it. They said sorry they would not accept it. I am very disappointed with this spa and feel we were totally ripped off. I ADVISE EVERYONE NOT TO USE THEIR SERVICE OR BUY GIFT CERTIFICATES FROM THEM AS A GIFT FOR SOMEONE. SCAM ALERT!! I was given a gift of a body wrap after a large weight loss and even though I was sceptical, i tried it. A very nice girl expalined, measured and got my weight (with a heavy robe and slippers on). She wrapped me in ace bandages in warm "detoxifying liquids", rubberbanded plactic bags around my hands and feet and had me stand on a full body vibrating machine (like at the home shows) for 3 -10 minute sessions. I was then unwrapped and asked to get on the scale. I said ok but grabbed the robe and slippers to get a true number. I was told that I am cheating after I weighed .3 lbs more than before. I "lost" 17 inches and then she tried to sell me on the 1699 package for 10 more wraps. I declined. What bs. I heard them selling a very nice older lady a huge line of bs and she took the hook. Bikini wax burn! Ouch! So I've been going to this place for about half a year now just for the waxing services, Brazilian wax to be more specific, and I've never had a bad experience like I did today! A few little problems I always have; they take forever to "find me" in their system since I guess I have two profiles not my fault! And they never have change when you want to leave tips in cash, plus they always have too much going on at the front desk and they always seem to talk really loud about the service that you're getting, for everyone else to hear, I'm not ok with that!!! Anyway, today I had a new girl waxing me, she didn't have the wax ready, it wasn't warm enough because it was a new wax, so I waited a few long awkward minutes laying on the table... When she finished waxing me I noticed it burn more than usual but didn't pay attention. As I got home it was still hurting and getting really REALLY red!!!! I was so miserable! It's been more than 10 hrs after the waxing and I can't really walk, wear any undies at all, or even touch that area it hurts like hell! It hurts like a sunburn x10!! I'm really worried and now my weekend is ruined. I'm not sure if I'm ever going back to this place! read more

I was very excited for my consultation I had been overthinking and finally decided to go ahead and get procedures done. When I walked in and told them I had an appt. they said I was not on the schedule but they were going to check if they could fit me in and they did. Jeffers had no people skills she was so uninterested didn't explain much I felt as if she just wanted my money and was not really interested in what I had to say. DO NOT GO HERE FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL! I spend $2k and 6 treatments, and little results. I have had lasering before and know what kind of results to expect, not even close! I feel in some areas the hair is coming in more coarse since I had to shave the areas. Such a waste of money! Not to mention they are horrible at scheduling. They had a laser in for services and double booked me and expected me to sit and wait an hour. I am very busy, so sitting and wasting an hour isn't very constructive for me. I do not recommend this place, just with the results from the laser hair removal, I can't image doing any other services there! read more

Management is only interested in your money .. not in providing quality service. While their staff is very polite there is clearly a process in place to manipulate and up sell all clients. My overall experience at the spa has been quite rewarding so far. I've been a regular customer at Suddenly Slimmer for the past two and a half years. Initially I began seeing Danielli after hearing an interview/review on local radio. As the demand for Danielli's time began to increase I made the switch to another aesthetician by the name of Elizabeth, who I've remained with for the past year. I've found both aestheticians to be exceptional and up to the mark as far as sufficiently performing the services that I purchased. My regiment is primarily monthly facials and skin peels that I have done about once every three months. I also require a brow and chin wax and on occasion a leg wax. Both Elizabeth and Danielli have been consummate professionals, punctual, well-meaning, as well as informative in regard to any post-facial treatments that can be done at home. The reception area has an entire wall dedicated to facial, body, health and beauty products and is adequately stocked. The staff is for the most part knowledgeable about the products and their applications. Upon entrance to the building you are courteously greeted and welcomed, the environment is relaxed and comfortable with complimentary refreshments. The only issue I have would be that the front desk could be more attentive at times. There are several HD TVs with infomercials addressing the various services and products that Suddenly Slimmer has on offer. The day spa is conveniently located in Central Phoenix with easy access from all four corners of the valley. In conclusion, I would recommend this establishment to anybody seeking any and all of the products and services that Suddenly Slimmer provides. read more

I have visited this spa two too many times. Rewind to my husband helping me shop over Christmas, and he purchased a $500 gift card for my mom at Suddenly Slimmer. Afew weeks ago my mom decided to give the gift card back to me (yippee for me... what I thought as she gave it to me) Fast forward to a few days ago... I called to ask if the spa had any specials on Botox. I was told that they were having a special. Without hesitation I booked an appointment to get my wrinkle free look back! Cue in the Jaws themed music... I get to the spa at 5 minutes to five like I was asked. I was given paperwork to fill out that got me back in the room at 510pm. At 515pm, after discussing the amount of Botox that I wanted ( AKA needed for my close ups) I was told I needed to pay prior to the administering of the Botox. FAIR. I gave the girl that walked in my gift card, and got excited. Then the girl that took my gift card found it a GREAT APPROACH to talk to the Dr on speaker phone and tell the Dr that I couldn't use my gift card on specials that the spa runs. It would have been nice to have been told that when my husband purchased the gift card, I booked the appointment, in the two reminders text messages that I received reminding me of the cancellation policy, in the three emails I received reminding me of the cancellation policy or even in the five pages of paperwork I signed.. But the reality is, NO ONE TOLD ME! After 15 more minutes of waiting for one of the owners... Although I was told at one point they were gone for the day. A girl from the front came into the room and questioned if the card was mine and said they were needing to verify that I purchased the card. I am sorry ... Are kidding me?!?!! You are questioning a GIFT CARD??? As I was being told that I don't own the gift card, one of the daughters (aka owners) appeared. She explained that they were needing to determine if I purchased the card because earlier in the month, another gentleman had tried to use a stolen card. Ummm .... You are kidding me right. She then asked for the possible credit cards I may have used to purchase the gift card... ( PS I FORGOT MY HUSBAND PURCHASED IT) but I am still trying to make sense of the experience I was having. After ten more minutes "the owner" appeared and said she had solved it and now realizes my husband purchased the GIFT CARD!! ( my husband and I were texting while I was waiting in my holding cell ... AKA the lobby. He reminded me that he bought the card) One hour after I had a scheduled appointment to be wrinkle free... I had wasted and hour of MY TIME with wrinkles still on my face! I insisted on my money back and now I am even wasting more time writing this, but hope some people will think twice before entering this spa. NEEDLESS TO SAY ... Kiss my toosh Suddenly Slimmer. When I first came into suddenly slimmer I had just had my first child and was 45 pounds heavier than I currently am. I did my consultation and talked with Danielli about the best options for me. I was breastfeeding at the time so I thought about it for awhile while I was waiting to finish nursing. I thought to myself "am I ever going to lose this weight" will it be like this forever? I had moved on to other options such as out of country tummy tuck and mommy makeover. After reviewing results it was amazing! But I did not however like the fact that I would be scarred forever looking like a chopped in half car accident victim! Not to mention if any accidents did happen I would have to fly back for revision surgery that may come out of pocket and as far as pain went I would technically be screwed not having a in Country Doctor. So I moved on to doctors in the country but looking at the prices and being a single mother of a newborn it was kind of hard to bare. So I came to the realization that my body may never be what it was again. I decided to go back in 3 1/2 months later to ask about pricing and to get myself in . I was a little scared at first because the price was not completely cheap but a better option than under the knife. I paid for my treatment as they did have a deal going on at the time. I was able to book it so I could have my treatment and pay same day! I never knew what stretch marks were until after I had my son and shrunk down a few sizes. So the treatment that I was getting would essentially help minimize scarring which was what I really needed! I have leftover skin from baby which I can worry about later I thought. Continuing on , after my treatment I did not feel much pain and it didn't hurt any worse than a sun burn. I went to the counter and paid for my topical products and thought I'd be on my way. The promotion I was purchasing was not the one I was initially told on the phone! I was starting to get quite brash just because I knew what I was told! A manager came and brought me to her room before I got too upset and assured me that she was going to get to the bottom of it and email me as soon as possible! The next morning I called the office ecstatic about my results! Yes, I was a little inflamed and I knew it would only get better as time went on! I told them I don't even care if I don't get the deal that I was told because I was already seeing such incredible results! The next evening Danielli sent me an email confirming that I was indeed told something else and that she would honor the deal that the receptionist told me I was going to get! I was already seeing results with just one treatment so I was very excited to be able to get a deal where there is even more possibility of my little mommy belly being sightly again! It has been almost two weeks since my first treatment and the results really are astonishing! It burns a little now when I put cream on and is quite red but my god the hideous dark stretch scars are actually really fading! Even some of my loose skin has tightened! I seriously thought I'd be at a loss of money here , always thinking that going under the knife was my only option. I am so thrilled to know that there are alternative procedures that are going to give me what I want and more at the fraction of the cost. I went for a deep pore cleansing facial today and it was amazing! Though I have been to SS before, this is my first facial here. Randi was my aesthetician. My appointment was in time, and the facility was welcoming and clean. The front desk staff was nice as well. My treatment itself was exactly what I expected an I must add that the facial was better than what I'd had at Dolce. I was able to relax and my skin felt amazing after the treatment. Randi was very nice and truly did a wonderful job. Basically the whole experience was great. I will definitely be booking another with her soon. read more

PLEASE HEED!!! It is in a lousy area!!! Trying to get in and out of the parking lot which is very small is really hard because it is on Indian School Road and 33d East so the traffic holds you up. It is not "spa" nice. I don't know why it was named best spa because it is dirty inside. Someone is either paying someone or the rating people are on drugs. got there 15 minutes early. three receptionists at desk as I walk in they all look to see who will help me so none do. I had to initiate the conversation. Then I was asked what is your last name. Sarah who I had my first appt with was 1/2 hour late. So don't book with Sarah because she has no concern for your time. I asked to rebook later and was told that because I am there and so is Sarah (although a half hour late on my appt) if I leave my card will be charged as a cancel. I had to give my card number when the appt was made so they had my number. I was there on a gift certificate. She was hurrying along the facial to complete it in a half hour cuz she was late. I mean she was going fast, until I confronted her. She told me the time of my appt and that she would give me the full hour. Because she was speeding things up to get me out in a half hour she had to slow down so I laid there and she played with my hair for 30 minutes. there were no products for the facial in the room which lead me to believe either they use really cheap stuff they don't want me to see or they have no client retention and are afraid that by appealing to the numbers people will steal product. the toilet was overflowing in the bathroom and it had poop in it which was now on the floor. I told someone there and she put a sign up and closed the door. There was no soap in the bathroom so who ever clogged up the toilet did not was their hands. Could it have been an employee???? Perhaps Sarah and now she was touching my face with her hands. I wanted to puke thru the whole facial. I had two appts that day. i used a gift certificate but I had to leave a card number to make the appt so they had my card number. My second appt was with Claudine. Claudine did my pedicure. She cut my toe nails so short one started to bleed. She shoved it back in the water. They have no selection of colors for nails. Even for it being free as a gift it was really a lousy experience. For the service it is not worth it. Try the vietnamese befor you go here. At least their lousy service is cheap and in much better locations. read more

If there was a way to give no stars I would. I received an expensive high tech facial as a gift. Which I wasn't able to have because of my allergies to gluten. No where in any of the literature did it say if you have a gluten allergy or an autoimmune disease please let the staff know. It wasn't until I spoke with an esthetician that I was told this information. The worst part was the front desk. No formal greeting I was handed three sheets of questions one whole page relinquished them liable for any bad reactions. I had to ask where I can sit. I assumed the hot tea and water that was available was for everyone so I helped myself. I had to ask the front desk why no one had come to get me for my facial, 20 minutes past my appointment had gone by. It was only then that the receptionist went upstairs to ask how much longer it would be, I was told 10 minutes it was 15 making it 35 minutes from when my appointment was scheduled. This place has hype, but not worth the money. Other then the Lazer treatments. (That is the one thing I consistently have heard good things about). I went for Botox. I have had Botox at several spas, doctors offices & Botox parties. I had better Botox from a party then at this salon. The woman was nice, but I felt unsettled & she wanted to get it over with. So much so that the numbing cream didn't have time to set. So I felt & HEARD EVERY thing. It wasn't pleasant! It was my 1st time hearing the injection & it made me dizzy. So much so that I didn't feel comfortable driving. So I sat in the waiting room & drank water for about 20 minutes. Not one employee asked if I was ok. One customer was very kind & asked for ice, my forehead & around my eyes was extremely swollen. 3 days later I was not impressed with how my Botox had turned out. I should have called & complained because it wasn't cheap! I waited until my follow up apt to explain that I wasn't satisfied. When I told the Doctor Who did my Botox injections that I was not satisfied she had told me that during my previous apt I would most likely need more. That's false! For the money I paid I expected to be more then satisfied. Even though I know she never said that. She proceeded to tell me I need more (which I knew) but it didn't take the 1st time. I followed the Botox directions. Like I said I've had it several times before. I feel so stupid for doing so, but I left her convince me to open my wallet again to fix it. Realistically out of courtesy I think they should have done the Botox complementary. I went on vacation and people didn't even believe that I had had Botox... That is not a good sign for this company suddenly slimmer at all. my lines on my four head came back after a month, and the expressions that I could make shortly after my first and second appointment were baffling to me. I am so passionate about Botox being done correctly that I would like to go through my phone and find before and after photos to post. overall I feel I should have called and complained the first time as well as when I got talked into doing it the second time. The fact that people were saying it's bad Botox directly to my face I should've picked up the phone and done something about it as opposed to being nonconfrontational. Note to self buyer beware. Like others, I have a love hate relationship with this spa. Their customer service has gone downhill immeasurably. There is tons of red tape and caveats to every price and special they offer. Moreover, make sure you walk from the parking lot to the outdoor revolving marquee on the street before you enter and read through the specials!!!!! They don't automatically honor those specials unless you do so and then tell them you saw it. Also note that these specials are different than their website, which are both different than the simultaneous specials that they send via text message. They have an attitude about clarifying these inconsistencies - I've never been to a spa that makes your experience so stressful. I'm kind of over it. The services are pretty hit or miss anyway. Timed services are also always cut short at your expense. I like the variety of their services. They are close to my house, so if I go back it will just be out of laziness. Actively looking for a new spa with better service. read more
