We aren't big drinkers but still wanted to come appreciate a nice happy valley restaurant and we appreciated the complimentary sample that we were given. Very tasty. With regard to the food, the garlic parmesan fries were agreed upon at our table to be the favorite item, along with the scallops on the risotto. However I found the risotto to be undercooked and it still had hard bits. When I let the waitress know, she said it was meant to be that way with it being "al dente". Very surprising, I have never had al dente risotto before, but either way, it wasn't for me. She came back later and said they made another one cooked a little longer which was better but still on the underdone side for me. The salmon and Brussel sprouts were tasty but I wasn't a huge fan of the tarragon shrimp dish either, I was expecting more of a spread or baguette topping dish but it felt like it was just a small portion of yummy shrimp with a baguette. I'd go back if I was going with someone who really enjoyed wine with a nice view but I'm not sure the food itself was compelling enough for me.

I didn't get to purchase any of the hot foods from take out counter located in back of Lily Market. During this recent November trip, I finally got some hot foods to go. Finally got to try it and loved it, wish they open Mondays and Tuesdays, as we visited on a Saturday. I wanted to come back to grab some extra sausage to bring to back home, before our flight. Lily Market is grocery store with so many Asian offer a wide range of products from produce, perishables, snacks, plants, frozen foods. If I lived here I would be shopping here so often. I was so happy to see Mama brand in the Flat noodle pack. I saw a reel on noods and so I bought the last of the 8 bags on the shelf. The prices are good and no tax, is perfect for me to stock up on Asian goods but we were short on time, I grab what I needed quick. The staff/owner that helped me was very friendly! Let's talk about the hot foods, I got 3 item plate ( $11.95) it is also by weight, 2 side of sausage ( $2.50 per) sticky rice, and pandan desserts. We ate at the food at the park and truly enjoyed the delicious hot meals. Wow.,the sausage was full of flavor! Everything we had was so good! There's a table in shop if you want to enjoy your meal there. All in all, I love Asian grocery stores & what a bonus with the hot deli, talk about kill 2 birds w/one stone. Lily Market will be on must visit, when at Portland.

Since I was already there, I ventured through. Huge bags of shredded carrots, prepackaged bags of chopped salads and other produce nearing expiration date for just a $1. I grabbed two. Containers of cut up watermelon, cantaloupe as well as whole bananas and other produce very cheap. Picked up an onion to use for that night's dinner. Didn't want to buy anything I couldn't use immediately as these veggies are a day or two away from going bad. Shelves and carts filled with canned pantry items, cereals, breakfast bars all nearing expiration - good for families that go through these items weekly. By the checkout there were some Chocolove and Theo chocolate bars. These are high end chocolate bars that usually sell for $3.99 a bar and here they were just a $1 with an expiration of Dec 2021 so I picked up two. That alone was worth the stop! Items move fast which is why the store is in a constant stage of unpacking. Huge outdoor area with produce located close to street - don't forget to check it out. In addition to produce they had 6 packs of bottled water, huge containers of pretzels, bags of dog food and other items.. Very random, no rhyme or reason, seems like items are placed where there is room. Friendly owner and staff, everyone chatting with everyone; clearly there are lots of regulars. They take credit cards. Parking out front. I missed the turn into the lot so parked around the corner by the Goodwill and walked over. This store is exactly what it is. A market that takes in items close to expiration and liquidates on the cheap. It's not New Seasons! So as long as you set your expectations and you have a need for these type of items, it's all good. For me, this was a one and done.
