Let it warm up to room temperature; the mild flavor comes through better. 3/5: The aztec mocha has good flavor, but there is bad flavor release; it probably works better with fat-free milk. 1/5: They made a mistake with my macchiato. I stopped in after lunch on a quiet Monday for a Gibraltar. It was a warm and sunny January day and the outdoor patio was quite crowded, however I was able to find a seat at a common table. My Gibraltar was perfect temperature and a nice balance of the acidity from the espresso with the creaminess of the milk. The team greeted me upon entry and politely asked if I could give them a minute to wrap up a previous order, and my drink came out pretty quickly. I've been there only once but would love to go back again. The line was short, and the wait for our drinks was less than ten minutes. There's not much parking in the Saratoga Downtown, however, especially on the weekend before Halloween. We tried their Yuzu Tea, Iced Caramel Latte, London Fog, and Vanilla Latte. There is so much work space here, it is almost unbelievable. Charcoal latte was unique but gritty, although I should've completely expected it. Decided to come here to try it out as it seemed to be a nice local coffee shop. It was one of the few times we're in the Los Gatos/ Saratoga area, so cool to check it out when we had time. Absolutely loved this quaint cozy hidden spot in downtown Saratoga. It's split into two sides (one to order food and drinks, and one with tables for studying and doing work!) It was first time here. It was easy to find street parking although I can see how it would be more challenging on a weekend seeing that the cafe is at the end of the main street right before it turns. There were plenty of places to sit inside and outside. There were quite a number of people doing work on their laptops but still empty seats to find. Dogs aren't allowed inside when you order, but I saw a number of them outside with their owners. I visited on a Monday late morning and the woman at the register recommended the charcoal latte and the avocado toast to go with it. I actually liked the charcoal latte; it had a sweet taste to it. She asked if I wanted it less sweet but I said to keep it the way it's normally made. The avocado toast also complimented it really well. They call out your name when your drink and food is ready and the lattes are in this cute ceramic cup. They filled it to the brim so I had to carefully carry it to my table outside and go back for my food. People behind the counter were really friendly as well. I love coming here any time I'm driving up highway 9 - The matcha is amazing, my favorite being the elderflower matcha tonic (which I hope to see as a permanent item on the menu!!). There can definitely be long lines because it really is that good, so know it's worth it!! I have mixed feelings. The place seems like it would be a nice and cozy place to hang out for an hour or 2, chat or get some work done. But it was a cold day and the interior had pretty limited seating (the space actually feels like it could fit more people but there just aren't a lot of tables). We got a table as a couple was leaving just as we got our order, but then it felt uncomfortable to stay too long after finishing our drinks since there were people waiting for a table... The charcoal ube is on the sweet side , and ube taste is outstanding. And the charcoal latte doesn't have the essence of coffee smell or taste, a little disappointed with my morning coffee desire.
